[Q] Downloading from the market on a PC

A friend of mine wants to buy a Desire S. He won't have 3G in his subscription for the mobile phone. In other words: the phone could only have an internet-connection by using WiFi.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have a WiFi access point in his house, because his father can not stand the radiation. All the internet-connections in his house are wired, and none of the neighbours have an unsecured WiFi access point.
So, this would mean he can't use the market, because the phone can't be connected to internet at his house. Ofcourse, he could download apps at school or at one of his friend's houses, but this is a bit unpractical.
In other words; I am looking for a certain app on the PC or a website, which can browse through the Market, and download the APKs, so he can install them manually (only the free ones ofcourse).
I already checked AndroLib and Cyrket, but none of them provides a downloadlink, only a QR-code.
Is there any alternative, or is the only way of downloading apps at his house searching APKs manually by using Google?
Thanks in advance.
That's a tough one. You can browse the market from any browser. You just need to go to https://market.android.com/.
However, when you "purchase" an app, it will only send via cellular, not internet.
I wish you luck on this.
Well, you could do that on Nokia phones by accessing the 'ovi' site and using some parameters to make the site "think" you were accessing using a mobile phone. In Android Market I don't think you can do that... But there's a way to get the programs needed: with YOUR help !!!
If you have an Android phone, you can download the apps he needs and then backup them using Titanium Backup or App Backup and Reinstall. The 'apk' files will be saved in a directory and you can send them to your friend by bluetooth, or put then on a usb pen...
But... let me tell you this: the Android phone relies SO MUCH in internet data that not having wifi nor 3g subscription is almost a crime, specially having a Desire S !!!
Thanks for the help guys!
Guess I'll have to help him whenever he wants new apps, but that isn't a big deal.
At least there is another one who switched to Android
just google the file and youll get the app.

How to print on a Android tablet?

Hello I have been trying to print on tablet but it would always tell me google cloud print and stuff. I want to print on a actually printer. How can I do that?

Depend on which printer you have, at least it should be a network printer -- not USB hooked to dedicate PC.
I have a HP printer(Officejet4620),WIFI connection setuped. Install "HP ePrint" APP from Store, and it's good to print.
As for other brand printer, I believe they have the similar solution.

VPN by Private Internet Access
Also used on my pc. Great speed, decent price, and tested anonymity (better look into that on whatever you choose, not all do a very good job )
VPN unlimited, 20$ for three years access unlimited, five devices. Deal available through stack social

2nd the VPN from private Internet access works great and very simple

VyprVPN. Use it on two laptops and on the phone. Its very good.
Some additional features to prevent DNS leaks and another feature that i forgot the name of that disguises the fact you are using a VPN for traffic(Useful for the office, that blocks all VPN connections over the WiFi.)
Tunnel Bear as suggested by @jhurtault is really good...
Vypr is good for cross platform compatibility...
PureVPN one subscription work on computer + Android phone

Printing with s7

Hi, i tried connecting my printer to my GS7 via the provided usb connector but the phone cannot detect it. I'm using printershare to link the printer to the phone but the latter does not detect it...
I downloaded printershare app for my cheap android tablet and the latter detects it without any problem...
What's your view on it?
Do you know any alternative printing app?

I'm guessing you have a basic (non-network) printer. You may need to download the plug-in for your device model.
Settings - More - Printing - Download plug-in
Another alternative, if your printer is connected to a computer that is running Chrome, is to use Google Cloud Print. Really simple, you can print from anywhere and your printers sync between all devices that are logged into Google.

What app or service are you using on your "cheap Android tablet"?
Maybe try adding the printer with the Samsung print plugin.
What is the printer normally connected to? Would Google Cloud Print be an option?

i used printershare on the tablet to try printing on it...
the printer is not connected to any computer.... when i have to print something, i just connect my laptop using the usb cable....
i was just wondering whether it was possible to do so with the gs7...
i tried google cloud print a while back before getting the s7, sometimes, the formatting of the document does not come out right..
If you have local network share the printer on your pc and afterwards downolad the apropriate app for the printer
