RCA Voyager RCT6873W42-Android6.0--V1.16.20-E03 Google Lock - Android Apps and Games

My wife recently bought an RCA Voyager tablet from Deseret Industries (it's basically a glorified yard sale). We did a factory reset on it. As soon as we went to go use it, we realized that we were completely locked out of it. It's asking for the last google account that was used on it to open it. We never met, nor have any way of contacting the person who had this last. Is there any way of getting past this? I can at least get into the settings via the keyboard settings, but it isn't allowing developers options. Is there anyway I can flash the stock rom, and completely reset it in an attempt to get access to it? On the Android Recovery screen, it gives these options:
Reboot to bootloader, apply update from ADB, apply update from SD card, wipedata/factory reset, wipe cache partition, mount /system, view recovery logs, and power off.
Hopefully someone can help me with this situation! I'd hate to have wasted $20 on a dumb tablet that we can't even use.

Most unusual..

My Thunderbolt is locked somehow, and I have no way to restore it to factory defaults. What I mean by "locked" is as follows:
I remove two apps from the device, change the wallpaper and delete a contact. Then, I restart the device - when it boots back all of the changes I made are gone. It's like in read-only mode, the changes look like they take affect but after a reboot everything is restored to it's current FC'ing on everything state.
I've tried factory resetting the device but instead of booting to recovery it just boots to the picture of a phone with the red caution symbol showing, it does not do anything else.
I've tried flashing over a stock RUU image but the flash either 1) looks like it works then boots back to the state it was before, 2) hangs on part of a flash and reboots to the normal state.
The device is not rooted, I've tried revolutionary and get the following error:
"rawadb_handle_msg" and then it loses connection.
Any ideas would be appreciated, I've never seen anything like this.
Turn it on and let it boot up if it can then pull the battery while its on and leave power off for 5 minutes then try again.
Also can try, with power off, hold power button and volume down button together for a few seconds and when it gets to the white screen wait for about 10 seconds then select reboot from there
Latest OTA patched the Revolutionary exploit (so it won't work). You may want to root using ADB and flash the rooted RUU. Can't say I've ever seen R/O behavior; but then again, I've been rooted for months - currently on AOSP (ShiftAo5p 2.8) and waiting for an ICS with data
I know, not too helpful, but there are still ways to root.
Any feedback from VZW or a "real" corporate store? They're actually quite helpful here with tech junkies.
OK, one more suggestion - early on, I couldn't do anything either (Market, etc) and the fix was to pave (format) my SD card. I know it sounds weird, but I was going to exchange my phone (ordered, then sent back replacement). I figured, what the heck. Took the uSD card out, put it into my PC's USB port and formatted it FAT32, popped it back in and VOILA - happy happy joy joy.
Granted I copied all the data off of it before paving - then copied back selectively (highly recommend AirDroid, by the way, no more cables). Might give this a shot.
Hey guys, thanks for the suggestions - unfortunately no luck on my end with that

I inserted the card freshly formatted (I wasn't rooted at that point) - nothing on it, and I booted up, I was able to install Market apps (which I couldn't do before) - Note - AFTER I also did (multiple) a factory reset, I was good.
That didn't work for you? Maybe try again? Or just No-Go?
Also helps prove every 'Bolt has its own personality
Good luck on your CLNR ...
I have no idea what errant app or corrupted data may have been on the card, but totally paving and starting over "fixed it". Soon after, I rooted Then I had choices Granted I've had times I've had to do a factory reset (but not pave the SD) and set up all again - I've found the larger games (haven't determined which yet) cause my phone to get into reboot fits if I do actually reboot (which I need to do sometimes to get the radios to get data again); so, boring maybe, but very few games installed. That's OK, I prefer to learn or listening to music during idle time. Good luck.

[Q] LGL45C factory reset problems

Hi all, I come to you all in this time of great need. I have in my possession a LG Optimus Net or LGL45C as its know technically.
I started to suffer from problems from gapps resulting from uninstalling the Google Talk app(yes doing this in retrospect was incredibly stupid). After failing to resolve my problem when trying to re-install it, I decided to take the easy way and just do a factory reset and start from scratch. Little did I know what was to meet me. I was given the "Touch to the android to begin" screen like so many others, but it was not meant to be that simple. I would touch the android, and it would light gleefully but it would not reveal to me the next step and sit there motionless. So I proceeded to the next logical step, touching each corner in succession to skip the setup process. But no matter how many times I repeated it, nothing came of it. Next I booted into recovery mode(stock I never bothered to install CWM, another one of my mistakes) and did another factory reset, clear cache, etc. This too did not work. And I thought, there was always installing CWM through ADB where then I can then just flash to a stock ROM I downloaded. But Alas!! USB debugging some how got disabled and it was all fruitless. A little google-fu later I came across a method to flash .kdz using obscure LG utilities. With renewed hope I followed the steps but to no avail. Now I come to you stranger, and plead you in somehow help me in recovering some use of this phone. I have exhausted all my options and I hope someone out there read this and comes in my time of need. Sorry for the long block of text :silly::silly::silly::silly:
Having the same problem as you, bookface.
I couldn't install CWM from the links provided in another post, all lead to a 404 Dropbox page. This sucks. And when I tried to use the installer from Play, I got a dialog saying it's not compatible. Some would say to ignore it, it would be fine...
But if something doesn't feel right, don't do it, I've always been told...
So, I was rooted, but phone started acting funny. Done a factory reset. Since I didn't have CWM, I thought it would clear that mess up.
Nope, almost all apps crash. I'm lucky that at least the browser, Gmail, and music apps work, but everything else, including Google Play Store, all crash upon launch.
Net10's forum is a lame excuse as a "forum." Seems like TracFone employees have NO concept of how a forum works. I looked at there for the same issue, and they rather take software/hardware issues to private messages?
I have NO computer, my hubby's friend who helps him says "You have an Android tablet, that is a computer!" Technically, yes and no. Since I can't root that thing, it's useless. (If you want to know, Polaroid PMID709 4.1 with Rockchip RK29xx, and impossible to root fully, it's "semi-rooted".)
And I'm lost. I and my hubby need this phone to work. Because we need it fpr work (our jobs). And I'm getting sick of TracFone screwing up Android ROMs.
Please help!
youve made much more headway than i. trying to help my neighbor with his. he set a lockscreen password on his lgl34c and then promptly forgot it.
so upon a bit of research, this model is a doozie to work with. i had intended to overdeliver by flashing him a ROM that might allow some hotspotting and the like. upon closer inspection, i dont believe that i will be able to do that. at best a towelroot...
but ONLY IF i can get past this lockscreen. i've tried to factory reset by:
1) removing/replacing battery then holding vol down+power and waiting for LG splashscreen then releasing power (still holding vol down ) and then re-pressing(holding) power again
2) turning phone off and holding home+vol up+power and holding 30-40 sec
ive repeated both methods many many times, and these are the only methods that i have seen described in my google searching. in fact, yours is the most advanced post i have found yet.
how can i factory reset this phone without access to the settings menu?

Boot loop after update, last ditch request for help!

Hey everyone, I've exhausted all my options (verizon, samsung, friends, google, etc) in recovering my phone. Hoping you can help.
What happened: verizon galaxy S6, stock, unsure if USB debugging was enabled (unlikely but possible, cant remember if I enabled it with this phone or my last one). I woke up and saw there was an OS update that downloaded overnight, and without thinking about it, just began the installation. The next message I saw said "installation failed" or something along those lines, can't remember exactly. After that, rebooting the phone froze on the verizon logo, and would stay until the battery died.
What I tried and what i CAN do:
Get into maintenance boot mode.
Safe mode: no change.
Simulated hard reboot: no change.
Erasing cache: No change.
Odin on phone: able to get into this from android recovery, but no program on my computer has been able to pull files or flash a rom without doing a factory reset.
Verizon wireless update assistant: Recognizes phone but can only do a factory reset, will not recover data.
Samsung smartswitch: same as above
Other details: Definitely not backed up through verizon, google, samsung (yes I am kicking myself for not going through any of these convenient services that were practically shoved down my throat).
Using a macbook, but I can get access to a PC if absolutely necessary.
When I turn my phone on, I have a yellow triangle with an exclamation point, an android with Xs for eyes rotated 45 degrees, and it goes to system recovery. When I reboot from there, it goes to a normal boot, but freezes on the verizon logo and gets stuck there.
I don't give a crap about this phone, but I have pictures from the first year of my daughter's life on it that I don't want to lose, and I was too stupid to back them up. If you can help I would be incredibly grateful. If it makes you pity me more, I've been using an iPhone 4 for a couple of weeks while I tried to sort this out on my own. I don't want to factory reset this and move on if I can save the pictures.
One last thing I tried: heimdall/jodin/flashing a stock firmware. I can consistently load odin mode and get to download mode, but jodin can't obtain the PIT file so I can't go any further.
I appreciate any help. I can just factory reset and move on, but I really don't want to lose the pictures of my daughter if I don't have to.

Panasonic FZ-X1 ToughPad unlock/wipe?? help?

Hey guys, so I work for an IT company that buys and sells ex gov, ex school etc stuff in bulk and resells to whoever, at the moment we have 9 of these things and they are all locked with a number password, we have tried to contact the people we got them from but as so often happens, they haven't been helpful in providing the pin, usually we would give up and throw em out but these things aren't cheap, so as the head tech, one of my superiors offered me one of them to keep/sell myself if I can figure out how to unlock them.
So backstory aside, the easy solution is boot into recovery and wipe, but these things (which ive personally never seen before) have a password in the recovery menu, requiring you to enter a password before it will actually wipe.
What is my best option to unlock/wipe these things? annoyingly the "master reset" codes etc that Panasonic have are not usable cus the dialer cant be accessed from the lock screen, my thought was adb but its been a while since ive messed with that and could do with some guidance on it.
I promise you these are not stolen, we just really dont want to lose a large chunk of change on these.
Thanks guys!
edit: so updates, usb debugging isnt on so ADB cant be done, nothing detects, recovery simply has wipe or reboot, wipe involving a password to be entered before itll wipe, its running android 5 so with some messing around im able to bypass the lockscreen and let the dialer show up and be used, by calling an emergency number and quickly hanging up while frantically clicking back and or home button, I can get it to (while in a semi locked state still) launch the home menu thats set up, annoyingly this is some organisations software and exiting it to the actual home screen requires a password again..this time a text password so forget basic guessing, and thats basically where im at, from here launching any of the tools or chrome etc will take you back to the lock screen, if I can somehow get chrome to launch, I could enter settings from there and wipe, but so far cant seem to without it going back to the lock screen and starting all over again.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!
Hi,
I have the same problem! But this thing is brand new!!
I purchased a Panasonic toughpad Fz-x1 a couple of days ago and the first thing I did was to do an update on it which went well and the version of android on it is 4.2.2. I checked the Panasonic website to see if there was an update to 5.1.1 and there was. So I downloaded the file to my sd card and done the update, but now I am stuck with the dreaded dead android red exclamation. There is a menu of two lines, 1: Reboot system now and 2: Wipe data/ factory reset.
When you do a wipe data/ factory reset the next screen is to delete all user data and say yes to that. But now it wants a password that is numeric and I have no idea what that is as I haven't set up any security on it yet. I am hoping someone here can help me with this problem. Thanks
I am getting in touch with Panasonic and when I receive a reply from them I will pass it on here.
i need the same, my japan fz-x1 have a password in this function

Question OnePlus OTA update softbrick

Hi,
Posting this as I cant find anything online and not sure if anyone else has experienced this. The newest update (seemed like a minor one) has made my phone unusable after the restart.
It boots into OS same as always but displays blank screen after boot (can't tell if it's on cos oled). I know it's in OS because holding power button brings up the native android power menu. It as keeps constantly micro vibrating. Like when you're typing really fast or something. Not sure what the issue is, and haven't yet tried resetting to factory, but fixing isn't gonna be fun since OEM unlocking is disabled.
I'm trying to get some files off it somehow before I try anything else but can't seem to find a way in.
The ver. According to the power menu is: RKQ1.211119.001
You need to have OEM unlocking enabled in dev options for that tho don't you?
I turned it off a week or 2 ago as I thought I probably won't be unlocking the phone anytime soon, if at all.
Option only seems to be msmtool.
Have you tried going into recovery (I assume you are on stock recovery) and reset system settings? I believe this does a factory reset without wiping data. You might want to fact check that as I have seen the option but never used it, there is another option in there called erase everything which I would assume is a complete factory restore (as in new out of the box).
Yeah checked there, theres only one option unfortunately, seen vids where they have multiple but their ver is 2.0 whereas mine says 1.2. I intend to try that first but wanted to see if there was a way around incase that was a full reset + wipe internal storage. Tbf now that mention it, it's still possible internal storage is unaffected, which is what I want.

let us know how you go.
So, issue fixed with factory reset thru stock recovery (Wipe Data -> Wipe User Data), however has come with the downside of all data including internal storage being wiped. Everything seems to be working tho, and works after restart.
Well, that sucks. Hope you didn't lose anything you couldn't get back.
