i rooted my phone, and tried to install a zip file, but it wont reboot. previously, i would just factory reset and it would work but now it doesn't. sometimes i don't even get into the recovery. i have clockwork recovery. i was thinking of flashing a new rom and then factory reset, reboot. is this a good idea?
all help is appreciated.
I was just doing factory reset on my phone, when it went into bootloop. I didn't do it through recovery but I used reset from phone settings. It always worked well for me. I have phone rooted and I didn't install any custom recovery. I also wiped data and cache from recovery mode, after the bootloop occurred, but the phone is still stuck in it. The phone doesn't have SD slot. Is there any way to recover from this?

1) you could flash a custom recovery and install a custom ROM
2)flash stock ROM using sp flash tool (ask if you don't know how to use the tool)
I just installed a custom rom in HTC one m8, then I rebooted the system but always boots back to boot loader screen. Please help how to resolve.:crying: I did all possible ways available in internet. No help. Wipe data, factory reset.
Dear team mates,
I will try to explain my problem as best I could. In February 2016 I manage to flash TWRP recovery 2.8.7.0 to my htc one m8 and install ROM ViperOneM8 5.0.1. For almost one year every think was OK. In three month I try to entry recovery and I could enter with no problem. Then I notice my battery level is decreasing quit fast. My thinking was there must be an app which is sucking my battery. So I decide to reset my phone to factory defaults. When I try to do this in android menu, phone restarts to bootloader. Then I chose an option factory reset and it enter again in bootloader. I try to chose recovery and again I enter in bootloader. At the moment my phone is working, but I couldn't clean the phone / install clean ROM.
Can somebody help me with this issue?
Hi
performing a factory reset from the android system settings may erase your custom recovery , you shgould have do it from recovery
find here https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/vomerguides-m8-bootldr-unlock-s-off-t2800727 how to regain your custom recovery, good luck !
Hi, I downloaded the Evolution X 5.9 surya unofficial zip file in my internal storage and then went to TWRP.
I watched a tutorial on Youtube so I wiped Dalvik/Art Cache, Data, and Cache before flashing the custom rom (wiped the dalvik/art cache again before pressing boot to system)
I thought it was going well but then my phone is now stuck in a bootloop where it's just stuck in Fastboot mode. Currently trying to fix it..
I just want to know what could have caused this? And if I did the whole process wrong? I want to try out the Evo X custom rom, I'm willing to try and flash the rom again once I've gotten out of the bootloop, but I'm anxious I'll mess up again. I've never unlocked my bootloader and flashed a custom rom before, so forgive me.
EDIT: any possible fixes for getting out of the bootloop would be really appreciated too!
EDIT2: I may have really messed up. I decided to press the power button while in Fastboot, and then now it's just a black screen. Windows won't recognize it anymore...
Which firmware you used before flashing the evolution x
