i rooted my phone, and tried to install a zip file, but it wont reboot. previously, i would just factory reset and it would work but now it doesn't. sometimes i don't even get into the recovery. i have clockwork recovery. i was thinking of flashing a new rom and then factory reset, reboot. is this a good idea?
all help is appreciated.

I rooted my G2 via the instructions and download in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928160
I did not flash the hboot.
Phone seemed to work fine after that. But then I downloaded ClockWorkMod Rom Manager and downloaded CM7. When I installed it, my phone comes up to the boot screen, runs for a second, then reboots.... it just keeps rebooting.
Using the factory reset, I can get back into the recovery, so I tried to install CM6.1 from my sd card, but the exact same thing happens (endless boot screen reboots).
What can I do? Thank you for any help.
Fixed.
All I had to do was clear the dalvik cache.
Hi,
I have a GSM(Non-US) Xoom 3G, rooted. I downloaded an update OTA and it failed to install. I wiped the cache and downloaded it again. I renamed it to update.zip and tried to install it manually. And now, I keep getting rebooted into recovery. I tried to wipe the cache again but to no avail. I tried to restore from a backup but it doesn't help either. I'd hate to do a factory reset.
Is there anything else I can do before I succumb to a factory reset?
Quick replies are highly appreciated. Thanks!
Edit: I did a factory reset and it didn't work! Please help me! I can't boot up normally anymore. What should I do??? T_T

download a custom rom on your computer, enable usbms in recovery, transfer the rom from your computer onto your phone, flash the rom
I was just doing factory reset on my phone, when it went into bootloop. I didn't do it through recovery but I used reset from phone settings. It always worked well for me. I have phone rooted and I didn't install any custom recovery. I also wiped data and cache from recovery mode, after the bootloop occurred, but the phone is still stuck in it. The phone doesn't have SD slot. Is there any way to recover from this?

1) you could flash a custom recovery and install a custom ROM
2)flash stock ROM using sp flash tool (ask if you don't know how to use the tool)
Hi,
I can't stop rebooting to CWM after I did a factory reset in android.
I had been using bulldroid, but I did a factory reset to give the phone to someone else, and it kept booting to CWM.
So I just installed bulldroid again from .zip file in CWM, and it said it was successful, but after you reboot, it keeps doing the same thing.
How do I get the phone to actually boot to the firmware again so I can use it?

Take a look at this:

Just look down the thread and you will find the procedure explained in english, too.
Also, see this, too:

Sorry, I should have posted this here:

Have you tried to flash CWM again with Odin ?
