I installed a malicious software but did not give it access
The software did not work on the touch of the handset, I pressed the power button repeatedly
After a few minutes the software was closed, and there was no problem
But I noticed that the power button has been disabled
I turned off the phone with Bixby
I could not turn on
The power button looks healthy, but without any work
I had to go to warranty
They say the board has been replaced
My question here is: a simple software has caused my phone to crash?
I really like to know what caused the phone to fail
I've put the software link here
(Note: the software does not erase any files and does not access)

i have samsung SGH i780 windows mobile phone. it has a problem power button not working correctly. power button touch a bit mobile is switch off after difficult to switch on when i remove a battery and plug again mobile is switch on without pressing power button. have any solution to fix the problem.
thanks
sounds like you need to open the device and look inside, my guess is that the plastic power button is not inserted/aligned properly.
(which is why it turns off and on the way it does)
(probably due to a recent drop of your device)
you should view the wiki for your device on how to get inside to have a look.
im pretty sure this is whats wrong with your power button dude = sometimes this happens to me when putting my device back together.
(power button needs re-aligning)

Red Hook and press the green call key while pressing the power key, hard reboot confirmation screen appear, press the space bar to confirm, and then the phone restart. After the initial setting, the screen calibration (points 5 times the cross), the initial state of the mobile phone back to just brush up ROM. After loading the program, and personal information are lost, so hard before the restart must be careful to save personal information.

Hello,
I have problem with my S6 (64GB) with Back Button. From yesterady it has been pressing this button continuously . Before that it was like once or twice a day, but I didn't care. Restart is not a solution. I tried to wipe cache memory, but it didn't work as well. The phone is completely undamaged, buttons are clean, 2months old, from mobile operator. First day after purchase I had to repaired it, because it was overheating and they replaced motherboard. Do you know guys some solution?

Thank you.
Have you tried booting into safe mode? That will disable any 3rd party apps that might be causing the problem.
1 Power the device off
2 Press and hold the Power key.
3 When the device vibrates; release the Power key and immediately hold down the Volume Down key
4 Keep pressing the Volume down key until the device boots up completely.
5 If successful, Safe Mode will appear on the device screen in the bottom left corner.
I have exactly the same issue. Is your knox 0x1?
Had that problem, software problem you need to restore the firmware, download your phones software from sammobile.com and flash it to your phone and it should fix the problem.
I got a samsung a10e the back button keeps backing up by itself how can i fix it
Hello everyone,
I was flashing MIUI official on my nexus 5, and I was in bootloader, and I was just simply press power button then devices just turned off and
wont start again. after turned off, device dont start using power button, then I connect power source, device just started and rebooting again and again, without power source device dont start, and when it starts on power source, device just rebooting continuously,
Service center said you need to change mother board.
It is necessary to change board or this is just a problem of power button stuck inside
Any sujection?
I suggest removing the motherboard. Then, quickly press and release the power button several times in a row using more pressure than normal. Not too much pressure as you don't want to cause any further damage.
If that doesn't solve the problem, it could be a battery issue.

I have not flashed my phone but have kept it up to date. I have version 6.01 build MMB29Q. I have had the issue during the last two weeks with it restarting but then just going off again. I have a separate Nexus 5 I user for parts for these situations. I replaced the motherboard got it up and running, everything seemed fine but then the power would just go off for no reason. The only way I could get it to restart was by holding the volume down for 10 seconds and then selecting the power button. The difference with this motherboard is that it will at least start up. I did change the battery as well and that did not make any difference. At this point I am thinking about flashing with a different OS to see if that fixes it. I unfortunately do not have a fix but I am at least at a point where I know how to keep it functional. Any further fix suggestions would be appreciated. I think my next step will be to flash it with a different OS to see if this issue persists.

I am confused, its battery issue or power button issue, I will try to repair my phone in shop not in service center
Chances are that you have the same problem I had with the power button.
My N5 had this behavior and was about to be replaced when I found something that worked. Try this: press and hold the power button several times with more pressure than usual. If no luck, smack it a few times (no kidding) in a table - I suggest you to do it with a cover. The main problem is with the switch soldered on the motherboard and the above steps is to 'unlock / release' the internal parts of this switch - the main culprit.
Several people had this issue and the spank showed to be useful: LINK
My N5 is working just fine, almost two weeks now. Good luck!
I have a Galaxy S6 with a faulty power button.
I took it to a Samsung Repair Centre.
After "diagnosing" the problem (which I had to pay for), I was told that the faulty power button was due to "liquid damage" (it has never been in water everything else works fine).
They said it would cost £180 to repair and would require they replace the whole motherboard.
I refused as I cannot afford that repair and would rather consult a third party shop or purchase a brand new phone.
Unfortunately, the state I received the phone back in unusable.
Before the phone was sent in, it was at least in a state where I could at least use it (providing I kept it charged and did not power it off).
Now its just stuck in a recovery mode => restart => no command (boot loop), and I cannot select an option from the recovery mode screen because the power button does not work.
I planned to flash the stock firmware to try in order to get it out of this loop, and I can get it to boot to download mode as the volume buttons and home button work fine.
However, now when I'm at the cyan warning screen it prompts me for volume up to continue.
I press volume up and nothing happens. I know that these buttons work for a fact as in recovery mode I can navigate up and down.
Any ideas whats going on? or what I should try next?
Videos of the issue
(Tinfoil theory: Did they purposefully lock down download mode after inspecting it?)
If you have time, continuously keep pressing volume up and power until it gets you into Odin. Best of luck.
We're on slightly different devices, but mine has the same defect. The power button failed overnight, it worked to start the device but afterwards, the power button became stuck in the pressed state and I couldn't lock the device (not mechanically, it is still clicky). The volume down button still worked (I don't have to hold power to force a restart because it's stuck in the pressed state), I wanted to take a look at the knox status in the download mode, it didn't respond to volume up, this means that it's dependent on not having power pressed. I somehow got the restart confirmation to show with the power button, twice, so it's not completely defective. The volume down button cycled through being stuck and non-clicky, working normally, and being stuck while being mostly clicky, like the power button, though it doesn't seem to be stuck in the pressed state. It's likely because I kept pushing Volume Down for hours in a terminal emulator. Today, it takes 5 mins of torturing Volume Down to restart the device. Eventually, it might fail completely. This device seems to be able to ignore volume up / down if those buttons are stuck and work almost completely normally.
i removed always on display completly and now i cant install it from the saved apk how to fix?
If you are experiencing an issue with your device always on display (AOD), there are a few things you can do to fix the issue. Firstly, make sure that your device is properly charged and connected to a power source. Secondly, try resetting your device by pressing and holding the power button for at least 10 seconds. Lastly, if all else fails, you can contact your device’s manufacturer for assistance.
