In moto g3 there is a hidden led that is supposed to turn on when the battery is completely drained(thus indicating that there is no charge). When we charge the phone again to 100% it turns off.
In my moto g3 , the led is not turning off, even after charging it to 100%. A few apps on playstore said that it can control the hidden led light. The apps required rooting.
So , I went ahead and rooted my phone .Tried all the apps but none worked.
Now I have a rooted phone , and I need to know how I can turn off the hidden led ?

hy.a few days ago i root-ed my phone(CWM 4.0.1.4)) and now i have a problem when i charge my phone.when i put the phone on charger(phone is off) the led turns in orange to green and this goes on and on.i flash my phone again via CWM and now it's working but the led don't become from orange to green even if the phone is fully charged.what can i do to have the right function on led battery?is possible to be the battery quilty for this behavior because last night i made a wipe battery stats via CWM...I dont know what to do... please excuse my english
Hello! yesterday I've converted my Moto G to Google Play Edition so I could have Lollipop in it. When I went to sleep, I turned it on and connected it to the wall charger, as usuall. The difference is the screen never goes off! It shows a battery animation and then it goes completely dark, but still on! If I press the power button, it shows the battery again and then goes dark again, still with screen on. If I long press the power button, the phone just powers on. Double tap on it, nothing happens. I've googled this and many say it's a daydream problem, some "stay awake" option, but NONE of these work. Because of the "screen being on" thing I got to the conclusion the system somehow things my Moto G has an AMOLED display.... but it shouldn't, given that both GPE and Motorola versions of the phone rock a LCD display.
Any help??
have the same symptoms. When i turn off the phone - plug it to the charger - Screen lights up - shows the charging animation - animation disappears - black screen but the background light stays on.

Hey guys im new here and i need your help! I tried installing CM into my moto g, but it didnt go so well so i flashed stock rom and it worked fine. I tried to update the stock (4.4) to Lollipop and it was showing a progress bar it was going well. I leave my phone there and went to go do something and when i came back to check the the progress, the screen was off. I tried to power it on several times and even tired holding down the volume button but it wont power up. The charger wasn't plugged when it was updating but the battery percentage was over 70%.. I left it there to charge for hours and still wont work. But when i plug it in my laptop it makes a sound that the phone is connected but the screen is still off. When its plugged in my laptop my notification blinks once and thats it doesnt do any thing else. Can someone help me fix this?
So I recently just rooted my phone ( this morning ) and wasn't really happy with the result tried factory resetting ( didn't do anything ) so when I reset it showed that there was an update available, i updated and now it doesnt even power on and whenever i charge my phone there is just a led blinking near the fingerprint scanner

i just calibrated the battery with "advanced battery calibrator" app. in the begning of the process it noticed that do not turn on phone unless the fully charged. i turned off the phone but it automatically turned on; i calibrated with that software again and turned it off, but it automatically turned on again. i turned it off and; after fully charged i wanted to turn on the phone: but the phone so quickly turn on & off. the LG logo just blinking. when i attach the charger it turn on and i can use the phone and it show correct percent of battery. but when i remove the charger cable, it turn off after 10 second. i upgrade its rom but still the problem exists.
can anybody help me?

My guess would be your battery is bad. I've had my device since launch and have gone through 4 batteries. Each time at failure the symptoms were the same. Battery drains fast, device shuts down with random amount of battery percentage remaining then bootloops and eventually only functions when a charger is plugged in. I'm guessing you were having battery issues intially and that's why you decided to use a calibrator? The calibration process may have been the last straw and your battery is shot.
