Audio Stuck in mono - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone
I got an issue with my Moto G. Looking for solutions to make AudioFX work (does nothing on my device) found that it actually work if the audio output was set to Mono, under accesibility settings. I toggled it on and inmediatly notice the difference in the sound but didn't like it, so turn it back off, hovewer nothing happened and now everything sounds in mono rather than stereo.
Any idea how to fix it? Been searching everywhere with no luck.
Moto G 2015 xt1540 running LineageOS 14.1 with Squid Kernel.
Thanks

Voice quality issues.

I have the moto G xt1032 and am running c-rom 5.6.
My problem is that since I started flashing custom roms on my device I can't adjust in call volume and the quality of voice on my end is really bad(high pitched sounds just about blow my ear drum and it sort of screeches). The buttons are fine as I can still adjust media volume no problem and I have also tried restoring to stock but the issue remains. I have had a lot of android phones and know what I'm doing but not seen anything like this before. Any ideas on what the cause is would be most helpful.

[Audio Issue] Moto G HISSING STATIC constant with apps

Please help me. :crying:
Motorola Moto G 16GB, updated to 4.4.2.
HELP MY EARS!! Most notably when using earphones, I get horrible hissing, static hissing whenever I open an app that outputs sound. Even with something like Google Voice Search popping up and playing the dum-dum sound. This happens even when I turn the volume down to 0. I've gone into Sound settings, disabled Motorola's EQ, put all other volumes (notification etc) to 0 as well but nothing has helped. As soon as the app stops outputting volume after a second or so delay, the hissing goes away. For example when a YouTube video stops playing. It's driving me nuts. Google shows that it's a common issue after the 4.4.2 update or something.
I also use the app Fine Volume Control V2 across all Android devices I use since I find the minimum volume to be too loud, even with my TF300T. Thinking this was an issue I've uninstalled said app, rebooted but alas the static hissing remains.
Don't say you can't hear it, you need some half-decent headphones/earphones to pick it up, but oh dear god it's painful. Same symptoms described in this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2611599

No sound from speakers or earphones

Yesterday night after returning home from a busy day at office, I inserted earphones to my moto G to listen to some songs and i instantly found out that there was a very low audible music playing. My finger instantly went at the volume switch and to my horror i found that the volume is already at max!. I tried to lower volume, with no change in earphone volume intensity and again increased it, still no change.
Then i removed my earphones assuming they are faulty and the loudspeaker had same issue!
I tried changing ringtones to check if those sound play well, but still problem persisted and I instantly realized that my moto g haven't been playing ringtones even at office while receiving messages (Which obviously i had ignored since i was busy with work).
Now a fear gripped me, and thought of my moto G having hardware fault ran through my brain
The only old school option that came to my mind is reboot.
I rebooted keeping my fingers crossed, and to my joy, volume worked fine on speakers and earphone as well.
The concern now is why that happened suddenly ? I run my moto g on stock with no apps that may tinker with my sound / volume.
Has anyone else ever had similar issue ?

sound skip while headset detected

Hi Xda,
I have a big issues with my phone and I think it's an hardware problem and I want to know what you guys think.
So when on speaker the sound is normal there is no problem but on headset, sound stop for a fraction of second every 10 second approximatively. sometimes when I plug the headset, the headset is not detected and the sound work fine on the headset(headset don't appear in status bar and modifying speaker settings in V4A modify headset sound, modifying headset settings does nothing in this case)
I want to know if it's possible to always make the phone think that the headset is a speaker as there is no sound problem when headset is not detected as a headset.
it happens on 7.1 tugarom amd 6.0 cm13 temasek.
V4A have nothing to do with the problem and audiofx is desactivated.
Thank you very much for your help

I tested it on cm12.1 full stock and it's still there. Don't know what to do ...

Only playing audio (Vid&Music) from the bottom speaker

I got this solution from Reddit it's for a G Power but it worked on my Moto G Stylus 2020.
"...my G Power wasn't as loud as normal, and noticed it's only playing audio from the bottom speaker. The top still works as I can make calls normally..."
Solution from Reddit DrFatz: "I actually found a solution via Google search. Reseting the wifi and Bluetooth in Settings then rebooting the phone helped. I'll see if it's a permanent solution here soon."
