Honor 8 Front Glass Replacement? - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

I bought a Honor 8 that has a screen that is popping out of the phone - leaking light. I tried to heat up the screen and close it, but it seems the screen (front glass???) is poor quality or at least the glue is, and I couldn't close the gap. Needless to say I managed to crack the glass screen under the glass screen protector

Is there any website/link where I can get a quality front glass pearl white, if that is what I need?

Here is what I found

Since you bought it recently, get it repaired from an authorized Huawei customer support center. They might repair it for free if it's covered under the warranty. (The glass back of my Honor 8 shattered within a month and it costed $50 to replace it with a brand new original piece)

Just randomly stumbled upon this, I'm going to be stopping by Best Buy sometime this week to see if they have them in store. Didn't find them on their website.
They have three options:
Maximum Coverage (Coverage for the front, back, and sides)
Full Body Easy Install (Front and back coverage)
Screen Coverage (Coverage to protect the screen of your device)
so according to zagg website the maximum protection is 25 so the full protection sweet:laugh:
Yeah I didn't quite understand that either when my friend and I were looking at it. Possibly a mistake? Looks like the Maximum ships later than Full Body or just the front.
their maximum and full body has always been the same price. Just different preferences for different people. No need to charge more, great stance
Damn, and I just bought a cheap front, back, but no side protector. Eh, it was cheap. I'll get this Zagg when it's available.

[Q] Camera issues, flecks in pictures

Hi all,
I've just noticed this is happening on my nexus 5 when taking photos.
I've cleaned the camera lense with some isopropynol but it still has the issue.
Is it possible for flecks of dust to get under the lense?

Any suggestions on what to do to fix it?
Yes, it's possible that dust might have crept under it. Only solution is to pick it apart and clean it. Take it to a LG center and let them have a look at it.

Under the lens ?! Unlikely. However you also haven't cleaned the lens as it is underneath a protective glass layer that you cannot get to without voiding your warranty but dirt can get on top of the lens, between the lens and the glass
It is possible to get it on the sensor but extremely unlikely.

Vikuity MySafedisplay screen protector bad fitting

Just received a Mysafedisplay (DQCT130) for S6 and it has , IMO, a problem on screen fitting! Instead of covering all area, it lacks near 3mm around..
Usually vikuity covers almost near matching all surface, I've used them since longe time ago.
I've ordered also a privacy one, I hope it doesn't have this problem too.

You are going to have a hard time (like everyone else here) finding a screen protector that covers the whole front of the phone due to the 2.5D glass that is rounded near the edges of the phone. That is why many of the screen protectors are smaller than the whole front. The round edges makes it hard for the screen protectors to stick down flat which causes the "halo" effect as many have been calling it.
I know it has a small roundness, but still is very far from this part... I'm pretty sure they could manage better!

GadgetShieldz protector for Moto G4 review

Hi Guys,
I got a GS protector for my Moto G4(non-plus). I am using a tempered glass for the screen. I bought GS's protector for the body. The application was not that bad, considering you have done the same in the past. The sides, camera lens's protector is great but the back cover's protector is horrible. I mean lots of moisture and stuff in there and no matter what you do it will keep on coming off the sides of the back cover. Here are few photos-

Overall- Horrible for back cover, good for the rest.
I feel like that it wasn't wet enough to stick. For the edges you need to use you thumb once after wiping the solution. Using the cloth would be also a good idea but thumb or palm would exert the pressure as well as the heat it need to stick.

Official OnePlus 6 Silicone Protective Case Red failure.

Hi guys and girls,
So i received my case approx 2 weeks ago and was very happy with it until I removed it from my jeans pocket on Sunday to discover that one of the bottom edges had failed. I did not do anything different that I had being doing so I was surprised. What has surprised me more is the refusal of OnePlus support to replace the faulty case, stating I must have done something wrong. In my opinion the case has been used as intended and should be able to survive in my pocket without getting damaged.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Ok, thankfully they have agreed to issue a replacement.
Cases like this are very fragile on those edges. You must have pull the phone out when that part of the case was stuck in your pockets and that's why it broke. Glad to hear you got a replacement.
i have similar case for iphone 7, same issue ! wastage of money. ordered Nillkin case from china.
