more info about updates?
is it safe, nothing to do with root/bootloader?
EDIT: DO NOT flash this on official Lineage with Lollipop bootloader, you will end up bootlooping on start, unable to get even into recovery after restart, only possible to get into fastboot which is also pretty useless, since your bootloader is locked
any idea how to recover back without going through flashing all the ROM and everything? is it possible to flash just firmware through fastboot?
EDIT 2: wanted to flash at least recovery in case it was overwritten, but I am getting
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

sending 'recovery' (40704 KB)...

Because i flash this too and had no problem at all.
?
unofficially, but that never caused problems with previous updates, I guess this firmware us somehow compatible only with Nougat bootloader and locks lollipop bootloader

YES,This is a Nougat Bootloader, you must unlock bootloader in official tools after you install this file in twrp
Put on a BIG ****ing warning about it being incompatible with lollipop bootloader..
And I was like "huh, my phone very smooth today, maybe I'll do a backup and try that new firmware out, shouldn't be a big deal, I've done it before np" — now it's ****ed....
(Yes I unlock the bootloader, but if I go back to marchmellow it's constant restart+bootloop.

Has anyone noticed any improvement with the new radio?
Hello. Has anyone got a link to the latest firmware available for a MI4C. I'm not after the official ROM, just firmware workable with ROMs. I think the last update I done was through andropax link https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=155424 is there a way I can also find out which firmware I have installed I forgot.
Is this the latest > https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=890278863836288705

Hi
My X2 GEM-702L bootloader us unlocked. I verified by "fastboot oem get-bootinfo" already.
I prefer to root it using the customer recovery method as I'd prior experience using this method on other Android smartphone.

C:> fastboot flash recovery twrp_recovery.img

Try renaming the twrp to recovery. img. If not download a newer version of Android Tools.
Ok after trying for several hours on various updated drivers, adb tools etc still no success.
I suspected the X2 though stated as "unlocked" it may not be fully unlocked properly for whatever reason.
So I did the "fastboot oem unlock xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" one more time and after this I mamanged to flash the custome recovery.
Success finally and I've custom recovery now running ! Thanks.

You know what's funny? When I got my second X2 and went into the Bootloader it said it was unlocked. After I did a factory reset on it, it then said it was locked. I don't know how that could be. Then I used the DC Unlocker program that you mentioned and it unlocked perfectly. I'm glad you got TWRP installed. So TWRP works right? Let me know if you flash SuperSU in TWRP and you have root. Then I'll update my thread to include your version of X2.
Yes....I managed to flash the SuperSU (Beta-v2.49) using the "KangVIP" version of the TWRP.
Now my X2-GEM702L rooted and I can uninstall certain system bloatware and do full backups using the Titanium Pro.
The only thing is to await the 5.11 Android EMUI 3.1 update which is not available yet.

Thanks for the info! Did you try flashing the 703L stock 5.1.1 ROM on your 702L? I'm curious to see if it works.
Flash 703L stock 5.11 ROM ? No haven't tried it.
I wonder whether it will work because the only difference I could see between 702L and 703L is the former has 4 more LTE bands. The other specs looks similar to me.

Yeah I know. If I had a 702L I would try it. Everyone has been asking on here if it would work.
I take no credit for this, thank the Motorola-Firmware-Team on Android File Host, and you can follow any leaked firmware on their Twitter feed.
I no longer have a Moto X Pure Edition, so I can't personally vouch for this firmware, but it seems like it is a totally legit full factory firmware image of Nougat NPH25.200-22 for flashing in fastboot.
This is the "official" full factory image of Nougat NPH25.200-22 and NOT the OTA file. It can be used for a clean flash and to relock the bootloader which is recommended to pass SafetyNet API checks if you are planning on staying stock and not rooting.
Flashfile.xml shows: version="clark_retus-user 7.0 NPH25.200-22 21 release-keysM8992_1255331.29.01.88.09R", MD5 matches, and all dates are correct.
This is ONLY for the Moto X Pure Edition, Retail US (RETUS) variant. I have no information on any other firmware or device.
Tested and verified as official Nougat factory ROM image by @Andromendous
This image is NOT flashable in TWRP, like all factory images it is flashed with fastboot in the bootloader... How to flash:
Code:
fastboot oem lock begin (if wanting to re-lock bootloader, othewise use `fastboot oem fb_mode_set`)
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img

fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.6
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.7
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.8
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.9
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot flash bluetooth BTFM.bin
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase customize

@acejavelin: Since you have been one of the guru's on this phone, can this file be flashed in fastboot directly if I am on stock MM android December update rooted with Magisk and TWRP installed? I just want to make sure that when I am ready to take the plunge, I can take the minimal work procedure since I factory wipe after all major updates anyway.
Does this mean people who haven't received 7.0 OTA can flash this ROM and get Nougat without any complications such as corrupted bootloader and stuff? Also read multiple times that downgrading to 6.0 and again upgrading to 7.0 via OTA corrupts the bootloader leading to hard brick (which is now solver using external SD), will flashing this would solve this too?
Yes... This is the pure stock factory image for Nougat, it can be flashed, used to lock the bootloader, fix the "preflash validation" issues, etc. like any factory image.
There should be no issue applying it over a downgraded version, as long as you flash the entire image.

Great! I plan on holding on to this phone for about another 6 months or so and might as well get the update. Will probably go over to stock nougat in December. Custom ROMs just always seem to have at best some minor issue(s) that prevents me from sticking with them.
Dude Ace you are the f-ing man. Thanks for the find.
I flashed it manually while on Hashbangs LOS rom. I was stuck on 6.0 modem and tried to just flash the modem, which made me lose sim service. I then flashed the entire imagine manually and booted just fine.
Now I'm back to LOS with 7.0 modem and so far so good. Hashbang is doing a great job, he's already cleaned multiple bugs just today.
i am already on 7.0 but putting this away for the future. Can you flash the zipped XML or do you need to unzip and flash each piece individually? Thanks.

It's a factory image... Have to flash each piece manually with fastboot, this is not a flashable TWRP or other recovery image
So no difference between flashing this and a possible future OTA update one? I downgraded from custom 7.1 to stock 6 and now been weeks waiting for this 7 OTA update which probably wont even see the 2017.

We don't know that for sure... NPH25.200-22 is what has been rolling out to Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T devices, but it seems that Verizon users are getting NPH25.200-23 according to one verified (via screen shot) report on Lenovo's official forum.
The issue is we know the Moto OTA server keeps track of what device get's what version, if you flash this it won't know you have it so if a future OTA update comes out, you might be offered it via push and will have to wait until it's available by pull.

Yes. There's a huge difference. With this you wont brick your phone.
Can we Re-lock bootloader with this version?
AND...
If you flash this version NPH25.200-23, will you still be able to install a SIM from another carrier, say Sprint, T-Mobile, or AT&T, and not be pigeon holed into a specific wireless Plan from VZW with their own Propietary APPs like VZW Cloud?

Yes, you can relock... unless you have already applied NPH25.200-23, otherwise you should be able to relock from ANY version out there currently.
We don't know what's up with NPH25.200-23 for sure though... recently Moto has been doing "different" versions for Verizon users that don't seem to get to anyone else, we also see it in the Moto G5+, and we don't know the differences either. Most likely it's just a minor VZW specific change and can be ignored. If the update does get pushed later, you should have no issues taking the OTA update when on this firmware, it is the official factory image.

I know that I'm a bit OT, but I think that this thread is the most suitable for my request: do you know if there is a nougat factory image available also for the xt1572?
Thanks in advance,

As I stated in the first post... no, I have idea or information about any other images for other variants and I suggest following MotoFirmware123 on Twitter as that is the best place to find leaked firmware. Motonovo has gotten very tight on letting firmware get out, but if it becomes available this is likely where it will come from, IF it ever gets leaked.
Just curious. I recently moved on to a Note 8 and want to give my son my Moto X Pure. Does this file put default recovery on the phone as well? I tried to factory reset it last night (had it rooted with TWRP installed) and now it will only boot into TWRP. I just want it all stock for him.
Thanks

Yes, it is an official stock firmware image... if properly flashed with fastboot it will restore the device to 100% factory conditions, including recovery.

Finally !Thanks, man!
Now I just flash via fastboot and avoid all the OTA updates process.

EDIT This was solved thanks to fc3211
I currently have no OS, and I can't boot into TWRP. I can boot into the stock Huawei Recovery, but that doesn't seem to do anything for me, as I can't download an image from the Huawei site. I can't seem to find the stock images for BLN-L24. All the links I saw on this site and Huawei's no longer work. I'm able to download the Honor 6X firmware from this site: http://consumer.huawei.com/us/support/phones/honor-6x/ but when I load the file into the sdcard, then follow the instructions and boot with both volume up+volume down pressed, it just hangs there.
Any advice on how I can proceed? What files I can flash? I really am not sure why I get a response saying I am not allowed to boot into a custom recovery. When I 'successfully' flash twrp, it still doesn't actually flash TWRP. My best guess is when I loaded an OS unsuccessfully, it locked FRP somehow and prevented flashing??

Search the forum for "FRP locked" and you will see my posts (I had same issue as you and was able to solve it) and posts from others with similar situation.
Basically you just need to use dload to load the stock firmware for the exact same model and the exact same build that you had before your phone stopped working.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73954487&postcount=240
If you use the files from the wrong build or from the wrong model than you will get error at 5% over and over again.
Try flashing elitetwrp from the Elite ROM thread. I successfully flashed the regular openkirin twrp countless times but would only boot to stock recovery, then on a whim I flashed elitetwrp this morning and I'm able to boot to TWRP now.
Reading on the log that you attached, i see "boot twrp-3.2.1-0-berlin.img". You got that TWRP from official TWRP site? If yes, give a try to OpenKirin's TWRP; it works like a charm. https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/development/twrp-t3583413

Great! And I am proud of you that you had the motivation to try each package one by one. It was because you did not give up, that is why you had victory in the end.

Sir I have Honor 6x indian varient on emui 5, past 2 months I have officially unlocked bootloader on my phone and flashed twrp successfully but when I restarted my phone into recovery, it just stucked at the bootloader unlocked page.
Then I found some ways to flash the original emui recovery through some Chinese application, but currently there is no recovery in my phone.
But thank to God that it still has its OS.
My doubt is if I again started to deal with my phone in the way you posted, will my phone can be repaired?? As there is no emui recovery that will install the zip by pressing and holding all three buttons(maybe).

This is not a method to relock Bootloader
I see many threads opened on the same topic and closed!
I hope those threads fixed things for you guys.
My situation is Different!
This is not a duplicate Thread.
I just unlocked bootloader on my Zenfone 3 [ZE552KL 4GB 5.5' Model]
After flashing TWRP and using ROMs based on 9.0, I found that we cannot use
UPI [Payment Interface in India (GooglePay)] in the device!
I tried many methods to flash the stock ROM and lock the Boot loader again, But I cant lock it anyway!
I found a thread by @Saktis_Impreza on this topic but I get:
adb>fastboot oem lock
...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)

I would like to share an idea which helped me Regain Warranty after rooting
and flashing over several times on the device ZUK Z2 Plus.
I'm not sure if this applies to ASUS devices.
In Z2Plus we can make the device tampered flag to false by flashing an
older Chinese Firmware on the phone using QPST Flash Tool.
Afterwards we can flash the latest firmware to get back to stock with locked Bootloader.
I know I wont get OTA since I unlocked using the OFFICIAL Method.
I just need to Relock the Bootloader.
I Hope someone would Help.
Thank You

Actually you can relock bootloader by reflashing factory raw, typing in cmd "fastboot oem unlock" and then, with bl locked, reflashing the latest oreo raw.
My tool does it automatically.

You idiot EMUI 10 cannot be bootloader unlocked, downgrade to EMUI 9.0!!!
If you want android 10 or even 11 you need something called a GSI, which I can inform you about it.

I can get you Android 11 actually, though there are a few bugs on both 10 and 11.

Yes, system will be 'destroyed', as you modded the recovery.

that what i was thinking also, so bye Emui 10 for ever i guess.
what was the rom base on android 11 you are referring to ?
GSI Project treble rom.
The definition is https://source.android.com/setup/bu...tem image (GSI,or higher can run successfully.
Google's Offical GSI will not boot on huaweis though.
After unlock bootloader download this https://github.com/phhusson/treble_...v300.l/system-roar-arm64-aonly-vanilla.img.xz
use 7zip(https://www.7-zip.org/a/7z1900-x64.exe) to extract the file once and rename it to system.img and move to C drive WITHOUT under any folders.
Then go to recovery and factory reset, do not advance wipe, wipe>factory reset only
Then go to fastboot and
fastboot flash system C:\system.img
Failing to follow will result in rage!
Backup System, Vendor, Data and Internal storage in TWRP before doing anything will be a wise choice, in case anything is wrong.
Forgot to mention you must flash magisk in TWRP before installing rom, to disable AVB(Android Vertified Boot) so that a custom rom can be loaded.

Yeah for sur, i'm rolling back, unlocking BL then TWRP in order to get a full backup. I ll check the rom after that
A senior member refer to for EMUI 10 upgrading :
"Don't update system via OTA when phone is rooted or bootloader unlock. Flash firmware via erecovery and rooted again"
i think this is incorrect right ? he cant root again while on EMUI 10 ?

well i'm stuck with twrp not decrypting my data
i managed to install TWRP (several version), boot on them and so nothing to do
also can get root easily and magisk as i sideload zip from crypted TWRP version (worked)
tried the version twrp_clt_0.1.img from XDA stuck on TWRP starting screen
i'm almost giving up
Extract Android 11 Gsi, rename to system.img and move to C drive , not under any folders.
Go to fastboot then
Fastboot erase data
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash system C:\system.img
