Bala, would you mind creating a ROM for Spice MI 270.
I know it is the lowest android phone one can imagine but a custom ROM can boost LIFE in it. Do reply to this post whatever you think of it.

Dude, I too have this phone. But without a modded recovery, I can't touch the phone for modding.....because I need backup/restore to bring the phone to working condition in case I made a mistake......
if anyone finds a working recovery,i can help you !!
Some more tips:
(to try the following, first root your phone with z4root app)
Try googling for a backup script for MTK6516 mobile phones....chinese websites like 4pda.com & china-iphone.com will be having them....
If you find any script, Download it & run the sript with 'gscript' app...
If everything went well, you'll have your phone's .img files in ur sdcard (mostly in 'Backup_' folder in sdcard) .
Now try downloading different recoveries for MTK6516 mobile phones, which will be availabe in the above mentioned websites.....
Flash the recoveries with 'Mobile uncle tools' app. After that, boot into recovery mode & check whether its working...
If its not working, then flash the one (recovery.img) which you backed with gscript......
If you find a working recovery, pm me. If you don't understand something above, ask me !!

The problem there is that, the home button is alive only for few seconds after the lock and also it wakes up the phone within that time - say 3 seconds. After that, the home button (any button other than power button) is inactive. I think it is a character of MTK chipsets to save battery by disabling them in lock mode. Anyway try it. It WORKS when pressed within a short span of time.

Hi,
I tried CWM recovery first using mobile uncle tools but on restarting the phone is stuck at spice logo with Recovery mode written underneath. So I had to use modded recovery2.
One more issue, I tried to reply through xda app but it says "invalid topc ID". any ideas what went wrong here? same when I tried the app for "quote" (for this specific topic only)

First thing first: i'm not a true developer; just someone who tries to do something for my own and then decided to share with the community
Here i present a jb4.1.2 rom for ZTE v970m ported from jiayu g3.
Rom Features are:
Solo Launcher 1.6.4 is base launcher
Multi-language...
Lockscreen widget -u may turn off screen simply touchin' it-
Wake up with volume keys -along with the lock screen widget you don't have to use power button any more!-
Xposed Framework and Gravitybox included
gapps included
Added Mtk 6577 Governor Switcher
Added Equalizer to boost volume
Internal sdcard removed, bruno's repartition for internal memory applied
etc...
Known Bugs:
After booting, "the phone" gives fc info but in fact there is no problem...
move to sdcard buggy -fixed with the patch-
notification led problem - fixed with the @superdragonpt's new kernel v1.2
IMPORTANT NOTE:
No kernel is included in the rom you should flash a kernel immedately after flashing the rom...

Good rom but i think i`m missing something when i plug in to pc only charge and don`t ask me if i want to connect in mode to copy files from pc to phone (sorry i`m missing that word don`t now verry well english hope u understand) , and i don`t have lockscreen (pattern/slide)
Edit : don`t show any notification in taskbar !! i have dual-sim version.

There is no problem in connecting pc, it just doesnt ask but u can easily apply it from the notification bar
For the lockscreen pattern it is under system/security section, here is my pattern:

If i go in settings / security i see default it is SLIDE , push power button wait few seconds hit power button again and no lockscreen , go again in security choose pattern setting pattern hit power button , wait again , hit again and nothing its going to main screen (or where it was) , this is my dilema what i`m doing wrong ? , don`t want the pattern only the clasic lockscreen and yes i know i can go to store and download some app for lockscreen but sometimes its not working good (lag etc..)

i really don't understand what your problem is?!? as it can be seen in the screenshot the "pattern" works flawlessly for me?! did you follow the flashing instructions?

I I know how to flash just it not have lockscreen when u push power button it goes to sleep , and if want to wake up the device first it shows lockscreen like this (look at the atach) , on mine it doesn`t ... when i wake up the phone only show directly the main screen .... if u don`t understand i`m not bother again sorry maybe next time tnx again for your support :good: and sorry to be such a ....

ok, i got the problem now .. first of all i'm not angry with u nor i've offended your questions; just didn't get the your problem before. as i said i had no problem with lockscreen as you see from the screenshots; did you happen to choose "none" instead of "slide" or "pattern" in any case?!?

moving apps to sdcard seems buggy
this patch corrects this bug also makes internal memory as 2.5gb...
apply from recovery without wiping data

workin' on a new rom... testin' it...
it is again 4.1.2 based since 4.2.2 has that annoying pink camera bug.
it's a super slim jb 4.1.2 with sony bravia engine. rom is just 160 mb with slim gapps included!!
so far there is no bug, but i'll test it for a couple o' days more in order to be sure...

for the last screenshot, it was taken while lenka's windows 8 song playing in the background. The sound level can be adjusted quite high in the rom!...

Very nice rom, i flash stock rom first, then instal CWM, and install this rom with CWM and everything is working fine No dialer bugs/force close or other bugs

some questions:
1) does the ROM support BT 4.0?
2) support for both sim Cards?

hey the rom looks good and every feature is good but i found some bugs, please solve:-IMPORTANT=IMP
1)After flashing this rom on stock rom i got red coloured {!} exclamatory on rebooting my phone.[IMP]
2)I dont have s-finder and quick connect buttons on my status bar as shown in ur screenshots.[IMP]
3)The phone force closes my games and switches off when i play a game above 50mb sometimes.(EVEN IF THE BATTERY IS 100%)[NOT IMP]
There were no other bugs according to me. The reason i need sfinder button is so that people recognize that i have s6 rom .
I DID EVERYTHING AS YOU SAID PLEASE SOLVE THESE BUGS AND DONT IGNORE

That buttons you saw in screenshots is sim buttons (first sim and second sim), more precisely, name of the networks and only showing when you have 2 sims in mobile.

Hi there,
I have tried this ROM
My phone S duos 2 (India)
Base band version S7582DDUAMK1
Previously having Almamun Extreme lollipop, very very good rom except nasty, buggy and useless walkman player. So i tried this S6 rom.
Coming to this S6 rom and next version too, i followed all the steps and installed the rom.
Phone dialer pad, Music player, gallery crashes and are not getting opened showing error ''unfortunately stopped working''> flashed it very carefully but it shows the same message.
So i went to try Milktea rom. hmm.. but the developer is saying us to install fx, greenify, wanam exposed modular and all others.
So went with the ''Custom Rom For Samsung S Duos 2 GT S7582 Lolipop Extreme V2 (Updated 25/3/15)'' by Almamun,
very very good rom with original samsung music player (best i can say) and included all the above softwares in the rom itself
memory management, battery, calls, network,wifi bluetooth.. everything are working pretty fine.
All are working very good but you have to read all pages in that link and especially 3rd page ''Important'' message from developer before installing the rom.

2--reboot to recovery(flash it throw philiz recovery)
3-- wipe and format opions
4-- factory reset (will take some time)
5--install zip/choose zip from sd card1/select miui_7_canvas_xpress_2.zip
5-- flasing may take upto 5 minues...after this now flash Patch_Miui 7.zip(this will also take some time)
6--now reboot
6-- 5 to 10 min in first boot.will appear like bootloop but wait patiently and it will open.
7--on welcome screen config it as u want then on home screen swipe left and open swapper app
8--in app tap on (choose swap directory) then just tap on select and then tap on save nd it will ask super su permission, grant it,it will now creat a swap file on ur internal sd card, it may take 5 minutes to create it,
9--its all done

@OP, thanks for your hard work. please one help, can not take full backup using phil touch. data mount error always.

oh thats a serious prob. u cant take backup of ur apps n data from recovery bkz ur data pariion is curupt, u can take backup of data n apps using titanium backup app, rest u have to to take backup using cuosom backup option from recovery, there u hv to remove tick from data n then take backup

thanx for the info, sensors are fixed (only 2 left to fix), menu lags bkz of its background services wich will run till device is fully synchronise then it will not lag n yes. dont forget to activate swapper,Patch will be release soon

@op , I have sucessfully installed miui 7. First I have installed stock kitkat. then phil touch. no problem to backup and format with stock kitkat and phil touch. then installed also miui 7 and patch. thank you. I think phil touch have a problem with lolipop.

store sec setting apk somewhere u'll be needing it later
pick boot img of your choice, rename it to boot.img and delete the second img file
make a zip of meta-inf, system , boot.img
flash it via twrp
replace sec setting in system/priv-app after the rom boots up

removed sim card and boot up the rom (at this point you will be facing wifi, password fc and basic mode display setting bug)
copy sec settings2.apk (location system/priv-app/sec setting 2 folder) and store it somewhere
once again go to twrp and flash the fixes.zip file (this will fix wifi, password and basic display bugs)
now over write secsettings2 with the one you have stored earlier

Bro i tried this rom in my mobile j2 2016
I done all your steps correctly and booted into rom without sims it just awesome the animations and smoothness ui all are awesome but wifi is not even turning on and main thing when i insert sims and poweron
It turns on and boots upto homescreen and suddenly reboots this is continues on....
So sims amd wifi are not working fix this please as soon or give me solution

Yeah working mine model also j2 2016 its booted without sim cards

The flashing of fix file doesnt fix any of those bugs. Could you help me with that? And link to that telegram group doesnt work.
