DISCONTINUED - [ROM][29.05.11] FolioBlur (3G enabled) v1.2

!!This is ONLY for Toshiba Folio 100!!!
This Mod is based on Toshiba Stock with additions from Nvidia SDK and Blur to make a better functioning stock rom with google apps and better OpenGL ES support.

for new users with latest 2.2.5.0131 firmware, here is a howto on reverting tablet to be able to install custom roms.

Please use these for non-FolioMod questions, like screen,battery etc...
Installation Instructions:
ALWAYS HAVE CHARGER CONNECTED WHEN UPDATING A FIRMWARE.
A FACTORY RESET IN RECOVERY MENU IS ALWAYS RECOMMENDED TOO.
download latest FolioBlur full zipfile- Extract contents to a folder and follow instructions below.
copy the update.zip from inside downloaded zipfile to the root of your sdcard, and insert sdcard into folio.
Enter "Recovery menu" when folio is just turned on and press (POWER) once and (VOL up) next.
press (VOL up) Factory reset or system update.
press(VOL down) to continue to system update.
press (VOL up) to confirm system update.
during installation progress bar will show har far it is.
folio will reboot after installation.
if you need to wipe, repeat the steps above without sdcard inserted, and you get into recovery menu. Press "HOME" button to see menu and choose "factory reset".
After reboot a BLACK screen appear for 1 or 2 minutes!! don't worry, its normal!​
Rollback to original stock rom:Download Folio stock image for full restore to stock rom
extract zip to a folder, and from here follow steps 1 - 7 above, to install the update.zip .
This image is for rollback purpose, if you do not want the mod edition, here is the way back to stock rom.
Remember to run a factory reset before or after this stock rom install..​

this is not available in this settings.

I cannot so easily provide it.. the screencapture function does not work on this framework, and no other utilities currently do snapshots.
and my camera pics are really bad.
does this one help

2) yes, for now its actually a defect, i think keys layout somehow is wrong. it works fine on elocity.

i don't if its possible... i think it needs some more work, to run on non-blur editions.

If you can fix the Flashplayer and USB issue. I think this ROM is beter then FolioMod rom.

Really surprised with motorola the phones that i used to have from them whore fiasco after fiasco to the point that i promised never to buy none off their products ever again even if they wore painted in gold but lately i have have seen great stuff from them and a proof is this blur rom to our beloved (thanks to you Dexter) folio... Really some nice apps from motorola like the possibility to in the browser of your pc control your device very simple...And the media server app very very easy to use...

+1 .. on mobiles, Blur is really kinda slow to use (except latest Defy), but with 1Ghz, it really kicks ass... its not much extra but its enough compared to a stock edition, and the fact they kept it simple and still kinda stock.
and no its not like ADW launcher, its more

Is it possible yo use the media streaming app and remote access app from this rom in ,let's say, foliomod?
Any chance will ever see gsm working on this?
I like this rom but the missing stuff from foliomod made return to foliomod1.3d anyway i am always installing new roms to explore...

it was possible
take the lainIME.apk + /system/lib/libjni_latinime.so and copy to your FolioMod instead after install .. it replaces the old android keyboard but it works.

yes I know just that problem I'm talking in post #1
in your case to solve sensor buttons problem use this file in attachment
1.extract and copy to sdcard
2.enter Terminal Emulator already installed on phone
3 write these lines

do not use Root Explorer to copy !
this is the hard-way to solve problem

yes this is true but not a problem will happen every time you flash again
due to apk optimization I made but after system will construct Dalvik-cache will never happen !
but not necessary to change language just try to activate keyboard by example try to write a sms if keyboard has no response press back out of sms app and enter to try again...
regarding a2sd I used to move Dalvik-cache to get more space to apks
by example compared to stock Cosmote ROM you got 150-105= 45 MB free
if you want to experiment with a2sd use this help
but carefully !

how to flash CWM recovery
-install SDK for Android
-copy recovery.img to location where you stored sdk tools something like this android-sdk\platform-tools
-enter fastboot mode (phone is connected to PC )
to enter fastboot mode press VolDOWN+Menu at phone startup for 10s phone display is blank
-enter this from line commander (bash/cmd.exe)
fastboot devices -to start service or test connection to PC
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img -to flash required CWM recovery to phone
to enter CWM recovery press VolUP+Menu for 10s at phone start

I made this regarding post #1 for people who are newbies in Android to help install this custom ROM
also I think fastboot is the strongest tool for Android because will help to solve a lot of problems!
in Windows Mobile this is a tricky task to recover from an unsuccessful flash !

but for me post no 6 is the most appropriate answer to that question
by example for me keyboard works pretty well

think that for qvga custom roms, for x10mini had gone most furder...

I fixed a keyboard got rоm in the original phone which foot to Cyrillic and now with the installation and install it.
problem with touch screen remains in most cases not responding to touch, sometimes works sometimes not.

this is not a bug just about settings... I CAN NOT make a custom rom for every person asking for ...you have to use Prop Editor app included but be careful ! If you want to customize install some themes ... there are a lot of themes for ADW.Launcher and this is very very customizable... in fact it's the same launcher as Cyanogenmod also you have Go Launcher on Market at one click install ...
to import framework from Xperia good thinking if you have 1 year time at your own discretion...
or if someone is paid to do that
...
this is my custom ROM ..so made to use by me and posted here if someone is interested.. if not ...you are free to use any other ROM !
also
to see features included in this ROM ... read post no 1 before install you see nothing about 'beautiful interface' just performance/stability/ MORE free space/ and....
a lot of features... BUT YOU HAVE TO LEARN how to use these things...
In your case I suggest to revert back to your stock ROM if you don't like this one

problem with touchscreen anyway mine works well
revert back to stock rom to see differences but I suppose is not a problem anyway I really don't have this problem. I'm expecting feedback from other persons to see what is this about ?
regarding keyboard not showing up ... as some people say... it is as done in the next version I put a new keyboard in fact as I see all Android phones on market have 2 keyboards installed -mine just one !
maybe default Android keyboard needs help from third party to wake up from sleeping
to check this ...install another keyboard from Market by example look for haker's keyboard
but I think this also could be about deodexing/ zipalinging features on this ROM
If is so then during the second launch every app should start well - so is about keyboard

Very nice rom, i flash stock rom first, then instal CWM, and install this rom with CWM and everything is working fine No dialer bugs/force close or other bugs

some questions:
1) does the ROM support BT 4.0?
2) support for both sim Cards?

hey the rom looks good and every feature is good but i found some bugs, please solve:-IMPORTANT=IMP
1)After flashing this rom on stock rom i got red coloured {!} exclamatory on rebooting my phone.[IMP]
2)I dont have s-finder and quick connect buttons on my status bar as shown in ur screenshots.[IMP]
3)The phone force closes my games and switches off when i play a game above 50mb sometimes.(EVEN IF THE BATTERY IS 100%)[NOT IMP]
There were no other bugs according to me. The reason i need sfinder button is so that people recognize that i have s6 rom .
I DID EVERYTHING AS YOU SAID PLEASE SOLVE THESE BUGS AND DONT IGNORE

That buttons you saw in screenshots is sim buttons (first sim and second sim), more precisely, name of the networks and only showing when you have 2 sims in mobile.
Just like in stock rom, look: http://s16.postimg.org/m65cyreqt/stock.jpg but only themed.

Hi there,
I have tried this ROM
My phone S duos 2 (India)
Base band version S7582DDUAMK1
Previously having Almamun Extreme lollipop, very very good rom except nasty, buggy and useless walkman player. So i tried this S6 rom.
Coming to this S6 rom and next version too, i followed all the steps and installed the rom.
Phone dialer pad, Music player, gallery crashes and are not getting opened showing error ''unfortunately stopped working''> flashed it very carefully but it shows the same message.
So i went to try Milktea rom. hmm.. but the developer is saying us to install fx, greenify, wanam exposed modular and all others.
So went with the ''Custom Rom For Samsung S Duos 2 GT S7582 Lolipop Extreme V2 (Updated 25/3/15)'' by Almamun,
very very good rom with original samsung music player (best i can say) and included all the above softwares in the rom itself
memory management, battery, calls, network,wifi bluetooth.. everything are working pretty fine.
All are working very good but you have to read all pages in that link and especially 3rd page ''Important'' message from developer before installing the rom.

My device is working properly without any problem so far, some times bugs only be noticed with use and i will update this post with the ROM fixed.
Install it by your own free will, I am not responsible for any damage that may appear in the device.
This is a European ROM but, like the default one, there are same country restrictions in providers that may affect the 4G reception, etc, etc.
If you want to install, you can try to unlock these restrictions since the ROM has root.

This ROM was edited to vodafone pt but can be changed to your provider.
When you flash it, if you are not from Portuguese Vodafone it will show a bootanimation that say " Change Cust after settings than do a factory reset ".
This is how to fix it with Root Browser, that you can find in ROM, go to folder /DATA and seek the custom.bin file, open it as a text file, you will see something such as example zt/rt, now we left the folder /DATA and go to the folder /CUST , we open it and we will find a folder with the name vodafone, we will change the name of it to the first name that we saw in custom.bin in our example will is zt, use small font, now we entered the zt folder and we will find another folder that his name is pt, let's switch to the second name of our exemple which will be rt, use small font!
Go back and exit the app, do a factory reset. Done!

>>>HOW TO INSTALL ROM.
Do backup from your data with the default backup app from the phone, and you can do to a backup with TWRP from your ROM.
->You need bootloader unlocked, search in this page to how to do it ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-g6/general/huawei-ascend-g4-4g-l-11-instant-t3190617/page2 ) , and need TWRP recovery FROM THIS POST, to install TWRP boot in bootloader ( fastboot - turn off the phone, press vol - and power, release power on boot than vol when you see the fastboot screen, must say in red unlocked) and execute this file to install TWRP recovery:

To install ROM, copy the zip file bellow ( ROM ) to sd card, turn off the phone, press vol + and power at same time, release the power on boot than vol + when you see the blue screen from TWRP, go to install and search for the zip, than swipe to install! Done. The ROM will install the default recovery again, if you want to stay with TWRP you must flash it again.
----->Before ROM flash, IF YOU WANT to win 2205MB more for apps and user data flash this zip file with TWRP like it was a ROM, you can read the steps in the end of flash, but i will write bellow. For you understand when you see "Insufficient storage available" is not the storage where music or pictures go, that is like a sdcard, is data partition storage. What this zip do? This will take from that storage where music and pictures go to give to data partition storage. Why this is good? Every one have a external sd card for pictures and music, i think and this will let to to install more apps in phone!!!

Note:
This "MAYBE" works in same L22, L33 but not dual SIM. Only testing you can know it. The Only issue for sure that will be is the home key but can be fix it with a simple app from google play.
You can try to use this app with this ROM, for now, if you want it.
Notes:
Tap Tap App is to use light sensor to unlock the phone, open Tap Tap app, Install, go to setup sensor, select "Unlock when removing the cover", unselect "Tap Tap unlocks the screen" ( G6 don´t have this option in kernel).
Busybox, is a tool to install several Linux tools to use with Android, like cmd in Windows... if i can say like this... You can use them with terminal emulator.
GPS Status helps with GPS, it gets faster, better if data is ON.

Hí, this is a great rom so far, thanks.
Only couple glitches came out for me so far, can be my mistake tho, been a pain ita too root in the first place.
Homescreen organizing resets sometimes after closing an app,
There are some wifi networks i cant connect, although others working perfectly.

Latest update of this rom is really nice, and it fixed the annoying media player bug on G6-L11.

There is a new update in the Facebook page.

I am really interesting in changing the ROM of my G6-4G-L11. I began to see your video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMDnP1tBsJ4&feature=youtu.be (what a shame there is no more sound!) as some things to do is not so easy to understand for me...
I have read all the topic above and you tell " Always do backup from the ROM you have in your device". I have no root access but I will try to have it with Kingo Android, is it a good option? After that, I would use your G6knife tool. I would try to follow all the steps you describe to change the ROM but I am really afraid! In case of problem, is it possible to return to the origianl ROM?

I found some bugs on StryFlex™ LP v4.0

Hello .. I have found some bugs on StryFlex™ LP v4.0 Ultimate Rom and they are :
1) If some one calls you the android system will stop working ..
2)It freeze some times
3)when u type wrong pin for lock screen the system will stop worknig also
4)If you use flashlight you must restart your phone to close it ..
5)If you use advance reboot u wont get the menu for choosing where to reboot (ex at bootloader)
6)If you type a URL on browser it will stop working but if you reopen it you can shearch from the URL
7)When you change a ringtone you will not get the song you chose from your music files but something els
I cant remember other bugs if i found more i will post them
Please STRYDER~007 see this post and try to fix these problems i really like your work you have done atm ..

1. Nope..No such issues are there. Re-flash the ROM..Many of the mentioned issues will be fixed.
2. Use pico gapps or don't use it at all.
3. Known bug..Can't be fixed..Use PIN or password.
4. Not necessarily..Just capture a pic with flashlight on. It's default CM issue..Can't be fixed.
5. Solution given..Search in the last pages of thread.
6. Use third party browser such as CM browser..
7. Make sure your ringtone is in internal storage not external.
