Bacon not turning on - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm running on RR Nougat. One fine morning my phone, with charge at 91% just shuts down. I rebooted it but it was in bootloop. Then I searched google and found out a fix. I got into TWRP, used to terminal to run the command "make_ext4fs /dev/block/mmcblk0p15". This didn't fix it either. I tried running the command again. But this time I misspelled and ran the command on mmcblk0, mmcblk0p14. Now the phone won't even turn on. . Any idea how to fix it?

You must have done some serious sh*t using that command.
Anyways, this should do the work: https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...plusrecovery-tool-v1-0-restore-t2991851#login
Just make sure to read OP thoroughly.

Bricked? Please help, phone barely boots... Wifes phone and she is ticked

Some background... The whole reason I was rooting this phone was the volume button was malfunctioning... constantly pressing up. I used the hack-ace tool linked somewhere else and followed the directions. At one point during the install the phone went black and the red light began to blink... in command prompt window it just said waiting for device for a long time. Now all it will do it go into the clockworkmod recovery screen. If I try to restart hack ace it says the sd card is either not mounted or corrupted. Any help?!? this is my wifes phone so I need to fix it fast!

When did you use AAHK? It has recently been retired and the files it needs are gone, so using it now can get you stuck. If you have CWM the phone was either S-Off or bootloader-unlocked at some point. Which is it?

Thanks so much for the quick reply! IT had no rooting done before today, it had gotten a little ways into the rooting before it quit... That must be how CWM is on there. It had gotten to the point of HBoot being installed when it quit.

What does hboot say? In case you don't know how to get there, reboot holding power and volume-down.

The only thing I can get into is CWM, and it is tricky getting it to run... I think it quit before loading HBoot... TO do that I have to pull the battery and have it hooked up by USB, then turn it on.
Hold volume down as you do your power up procedure

Okay, I have the adb installed and went through the process of connecting my inspire with the adb. A serial number came up so assume all is not lost because it installed the drivers for this device.
Where shall I go from here? Once again I can't say thanks enough...
Connect your phone and type adb devices. If it finds a device, type adb reboot bootloader. What does it say?
Send him over to #aceroot, it will be faster.

Yeah, do what Tei says. Head to the freenode channel #AceRoot.

Thanks for your time last week on this, today the phone booted up with one press of the power button. No idea what happened but whatever glitch there was... it appears to have worked itself out.
Go there and get it set up properly anyway. That should have never happened.

[Q] Google Nexus 5 bricked? [Resolved]

Issue resolved
Hey, I was messing with ROMs on my Google Nexus 5 trying to return it to stock as it was getting a bit bloated, and wanted to try customize it using Xposed modules, after following this tutorial: http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-restoreunroot-nexus-5-by-flashing-factory-images/ It seems my phone has been bricked, anyone got any idea what to do to fix the phone?

I believe it's fixable
So try this.
Keep pressing power button till shut down, then try to enter bootloader by power button + volume down.
The guide you linked....if followed properly will not brick you.
Any more details? What you did exactly....errors....anything??
Did you press the power button for a very long time to see if anything happens?
Are you sure its fully charged? Any sign of life when plugged into charger....or computer???

I get a sound when plugged into the computer, I'm not sure if I extracted the right files to the platform-tools thing or whatnot, I also entered "fastboot flash boot boot.img" not sure if any of those was ment to be the name of my image.
This is what my platform-tools folder looks like.

Edit: Holding the power button for a very long time got the phone to show the "Google" logo again, I'll try and get it to boot into bootloader.
The phone is now in bootloader.

Pull storage from damaged device

So I accidentally dropped my nexus 5 and I need to replace my display but unfortunately I haven't backed up my data (mostly pictures I'm worrying about the most). So is there a way to pull the storage from it? I've tried with adb and it doesn't work because it doesn't list my device.
I really hope there is a way to do it.
If USB works and its not detecting adb, then its set up wrong. Adb is the only way if both touch and display are broken.
Please click the link in my signature and read the adb and fastboot thread. It will tell you how to set it up properly

I can't seem to make it work.
In "adb devices", it shows a device listed but in "fastboot devices" it doesn't show any device. When I tried to boot into fastboot mode I couldn't tell if I booted correctly because it shows the same thing as when I boot it normally.
I tried using the command "adb pull data/media/0 C:\adb\sdcard_25082014" and it gave me the error "remote object data/media/0 does not exist".
What should I do?

Unfortunately I don't know a solution to your problem, but your data shouldn't get lost when you replace the screen.
I replaced mine a week ago. Actually it was very easy. The most difficult part was removing the backcover.
The parts inside of the device are fixed with a little bit of glue which is not strong at all.
The whole replacement took me around 20 Minutes and I have never done something like that before.
After that everything was still on my phone.
And if your device doesn't get recognized from your computer in fastboot mode you should try the universal adb driver. This works perfectly for my Nexus 5.

Are you SURE you're in recovery?
You got an error when you mounted data
Edit, well you got 2 errors...
The first error you got was the "usage" line. That means it thinks you typed "mount data" as an incomplete command. It IS incomplete if you're booted into android. Its not incomplete if you're in recovery. So I dont think you're in recovery.
The second error is "remote object doesnt exist". That's because you haven't mounted data.
To ensure youre in recovery, either:
1) Boot into android and then "adb reboot recovery"
2) From off, hold vol down and press power to get to bootloader. Press vol up TWICE then press power

Help!? Bricked my T-Mobile OnePlus 8.

Hello!
I am kinda new and tried to use the tool that's posted but my phone won't power down, it just loops back to fastboot no matter what I do.
Vol up and vol down with power only restarts the loop .
The tool sent something to my phone though last night because now it won't even go into crash dump, just loops fastboot.
PC is still seeing my ADB Android device though.
I had to buy a Nord 10 so I'm not without a workout phone.
Anyone please?
Thank you!

Make sure the phone is unplugged when you're powering off. When plugged in it won't ever turn off just reboot. Try that and use the msm tool to restore your device to factory settings. If it doesn't work ping me on here and I'll try to help more
Thank you so much! I was plugged in..let me try that.

Try getting into download mode if you can.or safe mode anything that could break the cycle of reboot. Hmmm other than that you could always try contacting OnePlus over the phone and see they would remotely do anything or via fastboot commands. They have a lot more tools than we do
