How could I make a shortcut to "Battery Saver"? Or is there one already? Thanks in advance.
There's an app called Ultimate Shortcuts or something like that. It can create direct links to things like Battery Saver as a Start tile.

update 02-11-2013
source code for a simple Tasker extension that forwards messages to the smartwatch, i use it all the time
https://github.com/babanomania/SmartwatchNotifier
The tasker notifier app is now available on the play store and is compatible with both the MN1 and SW2
for the SW2 users, they can execute more tasks from the menu options
Tasker Smart Extentions - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.babanomania.smartwatch.tasker
Tasker Smart Notifier - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.babanomania.tasker.notifier
update 26-01-2014
added the notifier app that supports the MN1 and SW2
added screenshots for the notifier app
fixed a bug in version 1.0.4, now tasks should run perfectly from notification menu
update 26-10-2013
1. Added a setting to select tasks of specific Tasker projects
2. Changed the colors a bit and changed 1 or 2 icons
Can't install your app, it shows "app not installed" when i try to install.

Tasker smart extension
Wow it works!, the only bug i can notice for now is when click on certain task it just display "Go Back", have to scroll up to see "Run Now" button.
Maybe you can add option to enable/disable Profile as well, but so far all works as it intended to.
Good job!
actually I am also searching for ways to enable / disable profiles, haven't found anything in the tasker developers page

Can confirm that little "bug". But extension works so far. Thanks.
Maybe you can add a list in extension app with the tasks, so you can select only the tasks you want and not all tasks. That would be cool.

i'm not really familiar with tasker, but would it be possible to control my PC mouse with it?
on my S3 i'm using unified remote to move my mouse around desktop, would be so handy if i can do it from my watch. i sent an email to developers but they do not answer at all. i hate that kind of support.

unfortunately still searching for a way to enable / disable profiles, if you guys have any ideas please help
How can i select what a specific task is (in your picture "smartwatch")? Only can choose base and all, but both are the same tasks.
A list with all tasks in your extension app would be fine, so i can choose the one i want.
But so far, good app :good:
actually i have created a new project called smartwatch in tasker either you can select a specific project or select all projects , base is the just the default project tasker has

would love it very much if u could create a task that can automatically clear all the notifications of a particular companion app on the watch whenever that particular phone app is in foreground.

Hey guys
Playing around with Lollipop I accidentally added Invert colors into my quick settings menu. All the information I found said I needed to root and clear SystemUI data in order to remove it, but then I found this
Enable USB Debugging
Connect to a PC with adb
In a terminal type: adb shell pm clear com.android.systemui
Reboot phone
It will clear your wallpaper, but it does reset QuickSettings!

neat. i didnt realize that it was a feature in lollipop, you can add stuff to the quick toggle! what i did was just use a function(hotspot) and it got added to the pulldown
can u tell us exactly how to add or remove if possible?

use a system function(like hotspot). while its on, itll be in the pulldown. if you dont use it for a little period of time, itll disappear.
So you cant add or remove toggles willingly, its based on how often you use it.

Hello fellows
Could you tell me why most of s8 plus users don't activate bixby ?
Is really because the languages not exist or to preserve private life ?
Thx a lot

Because Google Assistant exists and is better. Plus I guess better battery life with one less service running in the background

If you read this long article about
Bixby , failures to deliver a good or promising
service , you can understand why i am
not interested in Bixby( in general.)
Only maybe, the voice wake up from sleep function.
https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/201...t-feels-several-years-behind-the-competition/
Because I've been using Google and Google Assistant for so long I don't really need anything else. Bixby hasn't fulfilled all their promises and is a battery drain.
Because I don't need an assistant app (Google's included) full stop.
The button on the side is much more useful to me as recent apps shortcut.
I really didn't have a problem with Bixby until the last update. I never used it and had no interest in using it, but it only bothered me when I'd accidentally hit the Bixby button and the stupid app would pop up. But, after the last update and getting a notification window saying that Bixby only works in Easy Mode and asking if I wanted to enable it I decided that it needed to go. I'll be damned if I'm willing to cripple my display and ability to customize my screen for an app that I never really wanted anyway and that doesn't add any functionality that Google Assistant doesn't already have.
I hate bixby and your button, thanks god for BKdisabler.
Bixby won't add any value or benefit to my phone usage. I've found the voice recognition to be poor and I honestly will never use features like: Open facebook and post etc, because once again, voice recognition is poor. Google Assistant already meets my needs, so I might as well disable Bixby so it's not taking up my battery.

I used BK disabled to fully disable bixby but now remapping apps don't work with the button. Is yours able to be remapped?
Because I don't want some useless piece of software listening to me and monitoring everything I do? Voice activation is nothing but a gimmick. I have never and will never find a use for it. Maybe if I was a quadriplegic I might use voice activation. I got the S8+ 3 days ago because my S4 and LG G4 were both broken. I only got it because it was available on my network and the Oneplus 5 was not. Honestly, if I had realized this Bixby **** existed and was so deeply embedded into the S8 before buying it, I probably would have cancelled my contract and moved to a different carrier for the Oneplus 5. The amount of bloatware on the S8 is horrifying.

I use bxActions app.
The dev of app Jawo mo says on his G+
page that you should only disable Bixby Home
and not the other Bixby related apps
He states that he need them to work smoothly.
I used Package Disabler and only disabled
Bixby Home.
bxActions is now really smooth and fast.
No lag no stuttering.

I just disabled everything Bixby in Titanium Backup and then remapped the button myself. Much faster than having some app in the background listening for you to press the button. I just need to figure out what the code is for long press on Bixby button, as at the moment long press brings up the Google Assistant (which I don't want).

As stated above if you use bxActions
and have latest updates etc
bxActions should work really
smoothly and fast.!
No sign of Bixby trying to open.
I use one press for " back"
and long press for tiles settings
To switch data /wifi etc
All i can say is "What a pleasure,"
Fast and smooth.!
Double press i cannot get to work
.. think its the bxActions.

Yes, you are rooted. .
My S8 + is not rooted.
Even though, all my other

Note 2,3, 4 Note 8.0 tab
So bxActions does it for
me, with little help of ADB.

Ahh fair enough. That makes sense. I didn't like the idea of having to install the framework for BK Package Disabler and give it administrative permissions on my device. I am very fussy these days when it comes to what I do and don't agree to lol. That was pretty much what ultimately pushed me into getting root and Titanium Backup. Also, I was able to remove the Bixby Vision icons from the Gallery and Camera apps which was a massive relief. I still miss my G4 though and I am a bit bummed out that the 64GB S8+ only has 3.4GB of ram...

Because it is junk. It is slow to launch. It activates itself without my command. Doesn't often understand what I want to do because it is very strict in "how you say something". The bixby "home screen" the copy cat of Google now is of limited use: Gathers information from only a few sources and mainly from Samsung apps that I don't use because they are junk like Samsung health. No integration for a lot of Google apps. Bixby is again this proprietary BS from Samsung to make us dependent on their badly designed apps. Do you remember S Voice and all the other bloat?

Hello friends, I'm trying to figure out a Bixby routine which might go like this, so I can add a widget on the screen:
If I tab the routine, then optimize memory and storage of the phone. [the same outcome as I can get in "Setting - Device care - Optimize now"]
Any idea? Many thanks.

Hi friend, sorry for not making my question clear, in fact it is a bit complex.
The whole part of my question is, I am using an app called KWGT which allows user to customize home screen widget, particularly users could add certain preset action to each widget. And now I wanna come out with a widget that, on the one hand, shows the time, the date, the loacal weather with some well design, on the other hand, could allow me when tapping it to optimize my N20U (the same effect like willcor describes at 3#). Yet the action users might add to the widget was limited in KWGT, one of them is "launching activity", which includes launching bixby rountine (but not include launching the phone build-in "Device Care Widget").
And here comes the question I described at 1#, how can I come out with a bixby rountine that allows me to optimize my phone.
See screenshots.

Just an update.
I played around with Bixby Routines options. (re Device Care)
Got an option... but the device optimized widget is better.
Took some screen shots, to give you an idea, what i mean.
You should be able to follow, what i configured etc, in Bixby Routines.
However i personally think it's not ideal.

Much appreciated. I follow your steps, and like you said it's not ideal as it is not a one-tap-for-all action.
