Samsung J1 Ace (SM-J110F) Stuck in ODIN Mode after normal reboot - Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace Questions & Answers

I woke up to my phone's UI being all funky and crashing so I restarted it and now it's stuck in ODIN Mode. I've made the attempt of flashing it with TWRP and even the stock firmware to no avail. I've used multiple versions of ODIN and different cables and computers and nothing. The closest I've gotten to any sort of success is by using ODIN v3.04 and using a .pit file( as it seems it was necessary) to flash TWRP and it is now just stuck at 'NAND Write Start!!'. All attempts of flashing the firmware has resulted in not being able to connect to serial port or there being no PIT file. As far as I'm concerned there's nothing else I can do on my own. If anyone has any ideas or knows how to help I'd certainly appreciate it?

Bro u need to unlock your bootloader don't forget to usb debugging mode try best of luck
Sent from my Redmi 4A using Tapatalk

I can't unlock the bootloader if I can't even boot the device properly, the device only goes into ODIN Mode no matter how I turn it on, I can't get to the OS to do that in the first place.

Same prob. with my sam j1 ace smj110f

Any fix for this problem yet?

What to do???
You need Ultimate Unbrick. Get it here. Remember, you'll need to get into Download Mode, NOT RECOVERY, for Odin to work so you can restore.
Read, grasshoppa, read.
I tried Ultimate unbrick and im still getting the same results as OP above.

Stuck at "NAND write start!!" in Odin3 1.85 during Stock rom flashing

Hi All,
I tried to flash stock rom for N8013 (from below), but odin always stuck at "NAND write start!!", and nothing happened.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1847706&highlight=8013
Is anyone who had the same problem and solved it?
My device is on UEALI3 with CWM recorvery.
Below is the log from odin3 1.85.

Thank you in advance for any comments!!
Some things to try if you did not already :
Chage usb slot
Reinstall samsung drivers
Before starting odin open task manager and make sure kies does not have any process running
Try to get the fw from another source, i mean download it from some other place
There could be one reason for the Odin is not able to access your device try doing it from a different pc
I found I had trouble using ODIN 1.85 to flash my tablet too so I now use 3.04... That might also help.
It also gives you an idea how long its going to take to flash your tab with a nifty timer...
problem solved
Thank you very much for all comments.
I tried other PC(s), and odin 3.04, they also stuck at Nand write.
But, the problem was solved.
I found UEALI3 rom in sammobile.com and tried it to flash on my note.
Then, everything went smoothly.
It might be due to the different build number, or just the problem with the old version rom.
Anyway, thank you again!!

Cannot figure out this brick...

I have a soft bricked S3 thats really stumped me. Its hanging at the verizon boot video so i figured i would just ODIN back to stock and be done with it. Everytime i try to flash VRALEC.bootchain.tar.md5 i fail. I tried to flash stock.vzw_root66 and i fail. I tried to flash COMBINATION_I535VRBLK3_I535VZWBLK3_381038_REV09_user_low_ship.tar.md5 and i fail. Ive tried different cables and different USB ports but i cant get odin to flash anything. Are you putting the .tar file in the PDA slot in Odin?
Is your phone in download mode?
What base was you phone when it was working? ICS or JB?
If ICS stick with flashing root66 ICS for now (not any bootchains or modems) so that we can focus of getting your phone working first before any type of upgrade.
Also, if you cannot restore your phone by simply flashing root66 in Odin, follow this guide HOW-TO Unbrick Your Soft-Bricked Galaxy S III

I am a base ICS and yes i have the phone in download mode, and i am using the pda slot but i cant get anything at all to flash sucessfully. That is the guide that i got the files from and i cant even get the first file to flash....
1.Open up ODIN
2.Select only the following box: F. Reset Time
3.Flash the VRALEC bootchain in the PDA section and wait for a PASS message
Thats where i get a fail message

Did you check your MD5's? Also, just confirming that you already tried to restore by flashing root66 .tar in PDA with only Auto Reboot and F. Reset checked off? Also, read the second post in that guide and see if your symptoms are similar to the guide's second brick scenario.

Yes, recovery wont boot but i can get into download mode, and i am using odin 3.07
Maybe this will help, i tried for the hell of it to boot normal and now it will go past the splash screen and come up to an "encryption failed" error with a reset button. The reset button does nothing..
have you tried getting into recover since the Odin flash failed?
Also, do you have Kies running on your computer? When using Odin, kies needs to be disabled.
---------- Post added at 04:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:05 PM ----------
A little different approach.

Try the VRBLK3 files (official vzw jb).
Yes i just tried again and nothing... and no i dont have kies even installed

That's the file you mentioned in the OP or the one I just pointed you to (different files)?
That last one was the file you pointed to me and yes they were different files, neither one work.
Flash this (stock bootchain) in PDA: http://truelinux.net/sch-i535/bootchains/BOOTLOADER_I535VRALF2_618049_REV09_user_low_ship.tar.md5
then download this (stock rom), unzip it, and flash in PDA:
http://goo.im/devs/invisiblek/i535/...535VZWALG1_743127_REV09_user_low_ship.tar.zip
Having so many files fail with an Odin flash makes me think the error is caused by something else, though...
What else could it be?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Honestly, we've reached the limit of my experience. Must issues with Odin result from the physical connection. I know you tried different cords and different ports. I assume you're doing this, but make sure your usb cable is plugged into a port on the motherboard, not a hub or remote port.
I honestly don't know what the next step is... Reinstall drivers and Odin?

Odin3 FAIL with unroot and flash stock firmware

Hi, I'm new here, but I'm experiencing some serious difficulties with my S7 SM-G930F (T-Mobile, The Netherlands). I managed to put on a custom rom and root (Resurrection Remix android 8.1.0), but with more difficulty than it was supposed to be. It took me hours and I'm happy my phone now finally works. However, I can't play PoGo andymore now and before the Resurrection ROM my first intention was to unroot and flash stock firmware. Warranty doesn't bother me that much. Yet Odin3 keeps giving me fails. I've tried 3 different ROM's so far and I think it has something to do with me wiping everything in the advanced section in TWRP (out of pure ignorance). This is the error I keep getting:
<ID:0/003> Odin engine v(ID:3.1301)..
<ID:0/003> File analysis..
<ID:0/003> Total Binary size: 4182 M
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..

<ID:0/003> sboot.bin
<ID:0/003> FAIL!

Can somebody please help me with this?
Try 3.12 of Odin instead of 3.13 as sometimes it gives different results. Are you also flashing all 4 firmware files, or just AP?

I shall try Odin 3.12 and yes, I have been flashing all 4 firmware files; BL, AP, CP and CSC. I got my stock firmware from updato.com. It's the 8.0.0 android for the Netherlands, T-mobile, the right firmware for my phone.
im having a same problem here. my s7 edge can't be flashed to stock firmware eventhough i've downloaded the matched firmware. i was rotted my s7 edge sm g935fd to lineage os 14.1 using twrp, and now I just wanted it to be back to the factory setting, someone please help!

Soft Bricked S8+

I have a S8+ SM-G955F that is currently bricked. It was previously rooted with magisk and had TWRP installed. My issue began when I must have mistakenly turned off OEM unlock and restarted. Whenever I power on or charge my device it loads the "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I can still boot into download mode however I am struggling to find the correct firmware from sammmobile.
FRP lock: ON
OEM lock: ON
The few times I've tried to flash stock firmware Odin fails immediately.
Download Mode Screen: https://imgur.com/a/CYjRg4f
I'm really desperate for help. Any info or advice would be appreciated. The few times I've tried to flash stock firmware Odin fails immediately.

Have you tried using smart switch ?
From your screen shot you are on version 4 bootloader.
You will need version 4 or higher. The firmware that you download the bootloader version is the 5th number from the right of the firmware name
eg: G955FXXS4CRL2 bootloader 4 ( 5th from right ) is the bootloader version number.
