device administrators - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been trying to activate device administrator for the app AC display but it doesn't work. I have 2 major questions 1 are rooted devices compatible with device administrators and are device administration compatible with magisk. I tried uninstalling the app rebooting and enabling magisk hide.

I am quite sure that Root has no influence at the device administrator settings. Maybe try out another app using device administrator rights, for example applock. Maybe it is a problem of your current ROM?
About Magisk I don't know.

I moved it to internal storage and that fixed it ?

Android Device Manager Fails with Rooted Nexus 5

I got my Nexus 5 and was using it with Android Device Manager perfectly on T-Mobile. I used WugFresh's v1.7.6 toolkit to root the device, and now Android Device Manager cannot locate, ring, lock, or communicate with the device in any way.
From what I can tell, Google does not provide any method to disassociate and re-associate a device (which is insane), and my Google Play services app is the latest, trouble-free version (4.0.33). Regardless, I ran the common released earlier this month, and still no joy.
Is anyone successfully using Android Device Manager with a rooted Nexus 5?
I am rooted and Android Device Manager is still working for me. You probably have checked this, but are you sure you have given the Device Manager the proper Device Administrator permissions in the security settings of your device?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I verified the Device Administrator permissions as well.

Magisk is mobile rooting application make the mobile rooting process simple. By using the Magisk download app on your Android operating system, you can root the phone and install any third party application in your phone. It is known for best alternative for the Chainfire’s SuperSU. The Magisk download is developed by XDA developer topjohnwu. Many users have claimed the Magisk is way better than SuperSU in many ways. You get the seamless experience of using this application. The application which couldn't support the device without rooting can be used by using Magisk rooted phone

Magisk hide not working

Hello everyone. I have rooted my oneplus 6 facing a stupid tiny problem with my app banking: usually it's possibile to use the "easy access" that get logged without enter the temporary code genereted by the token of the bank.
Once did the root process, my easy access is always set on but when I try to log in it ask me the code token. The bank support says that isn't possible with a rooted device so I hidden the app in magisk and changed the name of the package but the problem is still here. I pass safetyNet and my device is certified on playstore. Also tried to uninstall all apps with root access, hidden magisk by "hidden space" of my oneplus. Any idea?
This is my app, can you take a look, please? Thanks

I followed all your steps but nothing works. The app need to have phone permissions in order to start. I can't revoke it.
Try hiding magisk manager in settings

How to setup App Ops using shizuku in MIUI

Hi everyone thanks for the reply in advance i searched the forum for someone with similar question and found none. Maybe its because no one is as dumb as I. Anyway from the title you might have understood my question.
I wanted to install App Ops in my Mi11x running MIUI 12.5 (Android 11) using shizuku. But shizuku says the permission on my adb is limited due to my manufacturer and thus cant enable application management to give permission to app ops. I gave shizuku permission to app ops through the system permission manager but that doesnt seem to work. Disabled miui optimization too and still doesnt work. The shizuku app sends me to this link : https://shizuku.rikka.app/guide/setup/
In the guide under miui in there it redirects me to 2 pages in chinese i tried translating with google translate but it just says what i did, that is in the github link. the other i didnt really understand much. Can anyone help me and just give me a guide or something on what i should do?
any help is appreciated. Thanks
Have a good day
Enable developer options, wireless debugging AND USB debugging, pair shizuku, start shizuku, go to App Ops app settings and allow usage of shizuku (from Apps> App Ops> permissions> additional permissions> allow shizuku access) and done. It's because MIUI breaks the dialogue for shizuku app permission

Can't install isolation apps after unlock device

Hi.
I unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone with magisk. I can't install the island and shelter apps. The island application returns that the security policy prevents the creation of a work profile because a custom operating system is installed on this device. The case looks identical even when there is no root.

Congratulations! You have blown a fuse and Knox will NEVER work on your phone again.
I knew all about it. However, I am interested in a way to bypass this problem and restore at least application isolation.
Should i use multidisabler ?
Isn't it simpler to ask the islander/shelter app developer a question?
multidisabler nothing changed. In general, I can't manually create a profile using adb.
