Magisk modules will help you to run all the Google apps which are not working on rooted Android phones Like Netflix, Snap chat and lots of more Android apps. Magisk Manager is similar to System less root by Chain fire which allowed users to get root access without modifying the system partition.
Magisk Download packs with a super powerful Universal Systemless-ly Interface for Android which is aimed to make custom mods go systemless-ly. Both apps are allowing uninterrupted installation for OTA updates even when the device is rooted. But Magisk manager gives you more controls and installing system less root via Magisk modules also allows you to use Android Pay with root. [ask] old-school supersu

There's no answer to asked questions before, So i might want to start this.
Is there any OLD SCHOOL SuperSU which work as granting Root Access instead of Magisk?
I don't like magisk, too many unused feature. I just want it like the old SuperSU back then, just granting root access and no other thing like magisk does.
Can the dev bring back the simplicity to where it was before?

If you are using an old school OS, then use SuperSU. But if you are using a current OS, especially 9 or 10, then your only option for root is Magisk. The complexity of modem rooting and then accessing many of the features people want from root is what Magisk focuses on.
If you don't care about certified play store, Google pay, bank or other apps that won't work, etc, then just flash Magisk in recovery (if your one of the lucky ones who have a working recovery), install the manager and ignore all of the "features". Unless you inadvertently give access or block access to an app, you may never need to open the manager.

Huawei GPlay mini - Obtain and install Magisk

Hello,
I have rooted my GPlay and installed TWRP.
Unfortunately my banking app detects the root and refuses to work.
I heard about Magisk which can be used to bypass this.
Can anyone tell me where to get this for my GPlay and how to install it?
I have TWRP 2.8.7.0 hw4c installed and SuperSU Free v2.68 (SuperSU-v2.68-SYSTEMMODE.zip)
Phone:
Model: CHC-U01
EMUI 4.0 Android 6
I've downloaded the Magisk App and try to install. But get this error:
Installation failed
Boot Image patched by unsupported programs
Please restore back to stock boot image
AFAIK any app, thus also banking / payment apps, can easily detect whether Android is rooted or not if they want to know this. Such a query cannot be intercepted.
I thought the app was exactly for that

A widespread misconception, thousands of times colported on the Internet as also here on XDA. The developers of banking / payments etc.pp. apps are quite certainly not as dumb as most Android modders / hackers assume.

Magisk Hide not working with banking apps

All,
I've been fighting with this for a while and I swear that I'm doing everything right (at least, I think I am).
Here's what I'm running:
1. euro build
2. magisk 23.0 (canary build)
I go through the setup, oem unlock and reboot again. I always run into a problem with magisk patched img and safety net failing.
The threads out there have gotten too thick and off-topic with folks asking for other stuff unrelated to the task at hand. I'm beyond confused with all the threads and need a clean and cohesive approach. Again, people, I need a better direction on this. No one-liners and smart ass answers.
Thank you to those that respond with a solid tutorial. Go layman if need be. =)
Magisk is dropping support for hiding root access from apps
Magisk, the popular Android rooting tool, will continue to be developed by topjohnwu, but without its root hiding feature called MagiskHide.

I recommend following this YouTube tutorial step by step. Also, The Magisk 23.0 build STILL has MagiskHide at the moment, so you may want to enable that.
TL;DR, you'll have to install Riru, LSposed, and XPrivacyLua and their respective magisk modules. While the video showed how to pass SafetyNet and get Google Play "Device is Certified", you can implement the same processes to ANY app having issues with root.

Once again: Everything that counts is money!
There will be other devs presenting solutions for root and hiding root so that we won't need Magisk any longer.
Until then I'll stay with 23.0
