So I live near Harrisburg but I was driving from NJ, while listening to Sheppard Smith coverage the eclipse with amazing satire, I waited till it got closest for me to photo it. So I pulled over on the highway and I couldn't be anymore great ful that it was high clouds in the area.
So I rolled down my window around 2:40 pm to get a few shots while a cirrocumulus cloud was under the eclipse.
So without further ado... Here are the photos using the minimum light possible (low iso)

Nice... I tried to take several, with both the selfie camera and the main camera, and all I got was a ball of light no matter what I did. I am in Bismarck, ND, and we got 85% coverage but you couldn't tell from any of the pictures. Not even gonna bother to upload them.
Looks really cool
Awesome! You know what else came with the eclipse? Oreo! I knew I would get it on my 6P before the pure got nougat. I did take the pure for some eclipse photos. I figured if the camera burned out no real loss ?. Here is a pic of the total.

I checked the market and couldn't find anything. Does anyone know of an app that allows for multiple pictures to be taken then stitched together to create a panoramic photo. My Touch Pro did this beautifully and I'm disappointed this wasn't stock on my Nexus One.

You can use Photostitch (android.application.nl-jupe-photostitch-jAnn)
Is there any app available that works on the Nexus One?
Yeah.
Looking myself, I have Photostitch but it just force closes, I've asked the dev to update for Nexus 1.
Ive had a g1, a mytouch, and now the nexus and I've never even heard of such a thing. Sounds neat though I suppose. Is it a work related necessity for you or is that just how you take pictures?
That's just how I take photos. It's much easier to be able to do it on my phone vs. stitching them on my PC because that way I can get a review of half of the last image so I know where to line up the next one.
It allows for great shots like this to be taken quickly and simply without the need for PC editting.

Robot Viewer is a great start for a nexus photo stitching app. Its in a limited beta right now on the market.

Hey all...
I am thinking of replacing my droid 2 global with a captivate. The only thing holding me back is the lack of a flash. Does anyone have any feedback on both indoor and outdoor shooting with the captivate? Does the camera suffer with no flash?
Feel free to post a sample if you like.
Thanks

I am not a professional photographer by any means, but I personally don't miss not having a flash. My old phone had one so I thought it was a feature I would miss, but it takes great pictures in fairly low light. Of course if it's dark out, you're screwed, but I think it does pretty well without one in most other situations, IMHO.
Yeah that's kinda the answer I have been getting.
Mu Droid 2 global sucks big time...and it has the flash!
I'd rather have an ever-so-slightly darker picture than a completely washed-out-by-the-flash picture any day of the week

Now that we have all of this red tape out of the way, let's talk price....
I know a lot of people have pink/yellow tint or weird green shades. Does mine look okay? Full brightness with gray background and white.

I wouldnt risk trading it in. Unless there something super annoying isnt showing up in the pic, ide keep it. Theres a much higher chance you will get sonething worse

It has a ever so slight pink tint but it's certainly not worth getting replaced as you could get one which is worse. I have got much worse than yours and would definitely keep that

Cam is great but it depends only on lightning condition.

And I will give you honest answer: Its all depend on person who take a picture. :]
Its not a joke, you can have great picture made using even old Sony Ericsson K800i or Nokia N95 because its all depend on person who make it: knowledge of framing, setting up lighting, and most important aspect that most of people dont take in to the account: post-processing.
Yes, editing image after taking it is something normal and SHOULD be made. If would need some really good eye and hand and knowledge of your camera to take perfect picture without editing it later.
Thanks for the replies gents, I ended up buying a note 5 and I'm very happy (old phone) but the eis/ois in video is exceptional.
Seems a great friendly sub forum also
I compare mine to my wife phone galaxy s7 edge, and the p9 bit s7 easily with camera shots especially in light condition, and also in low light condition when using the flash
Default settings. Front and back in similar lighting.
I didn't notice any issues with indoor house lighting though I haven't tested after seeing this.
Anybody else?

I take about 1 selfie cam photo for every thousand from the back. I can deal I guess. Lol

Same here. Unfortunately the back camera at night, specially for videos, will show a lot of reflection artifacts. But I dont take many at night anyway due to the noise.
My hope is that google can make the noise in the night photos better, like the iPhone 11. Night photographs might not be as good as the pixel, but no noise and only subjects got brightened up, while the sky (and water when photographing a lake or the sea) remains dark and natural.
Liking the phone so far though...
This was taken last night. Point shoot and hold. Flares a little but this seems more than ok to me. Way better than the s10+ I came from.

99.9% of the time this is due to a dirty, oily "lens"
Generally you need only wipe the glass over the sensor with a clean, dry cloth (or your shirtsleeve provided you haven't just finished eating a pound of bacon), or a little alcohol, then a dry cloth, and they will disappear.
