Though no evidence for which Moto devices will get Oreo, guess we'll just have to wait and see
"Lenovo may begin the soaktest of Android O for G4 Plus in October 2017. If the soat test completed successfully, then Lenovo will start the final rollout. Moto G4 Plus and G4 devices may get the Android O update in India in early December 2017. Moto G4 Plus devices in North America may get the update in April 2018. In the UK, Motorola may rollout Android 8 OTA for G4 Plus devices in March 2018. In other European coyntries Moto G4 and G4 Plus devices probably get the update in January 2018. In Australia, Lenovo may start the rollout of Android 8.0 in February 2018.
Carrier locked Moto G4 and G4 Plus may get the update in April 2018. The official rollout dates of Android 8 for Moto G4 Plus and G4 will be revealed soon."
Source.
Obviously, maybe that post is just a click bait. But that information (or similar) has been published recently in lot of Android forums. It's pure speculation (i think).
The name "oreo" is not confirmed. We have to say "Android O" for the moment.

Lenovo had released the list back in the end of July here. That source seems quite reliable.

Actually that is not an Official Lenovo source.
We have not any kind of official information so far, you can search it in the official Lenovo community and Motorola blog.

Q2 2018 is comming ,Google has released Android P Dev Preview 1
But i still dont get about the Software Updates On LG Q6.
LG is releasing Security updates once in 2 (or) 3months but there is no word for the next android version.
Will Android O come to our LG Q6 (or) Have the chance to get it ..?
If anybody has any info regarding this then please share to this thread
No news for Q6, as far as I know LG confirmed update for G5, G6, V20 & V30, that's it.

It would be a tremendous failure if Oreo did not appear in the LG Q6!
The serious thing is not that it has not appeared yet, it is that we do not know with certainty if it will appear or not.
Yes , for the same range Oreo is started to roll out or will be ,also moto g4 line is getting oreo which is 2yrs old!
Thats one of the reason why LG is Suffering in Smartphone department.
My first LG phone was G2 which worked flawlessly till 2years which got updated from Jellybean to Lollipop.
Expecting the same for Q6, Hope LG will do something by seeing competitors like Xiaomi , Moto , Nokia and all....
There is a confirmation from LG Mexico, in which it states that Oreo will be available for LG Q6 approximately during the month of May.

Look for downloaded Firmware in something like
Code:
C:\ProgramData\LMSA\Download\RomFiles
You may need to uncheck
Code:
Hide protected operating system files
in View/Options/Change Folder and Search options/View
Skip Data Wipe
There is a way to flash firmware without losing data
Open LMSA select Flashing/rescue
boot the device to Fastboot mode
Connect the device to PC
Let LMSA download the Firmware
Once the firmware is downloaded, don't continue with flashing.
Open C:\ProgramData\LMSA\Download\RomFiles
Select the firmware for the device you want to flash
Open the flashfile.xml with a text editor like notepad++ (https://notepad-plus-plus.org/)
Delete this line
Code:
<step operation="erase" partition="userdata"/>
save the changes
Continue the flashing with LMSA
Note: This is not guaranteed to work

How to: flash stock without losing data (without reformatting) by nicolap8
Thanks for sharing. Never bothered to download this because I didn't know it had so many features like clipboard transfer, only heard of it's "Rescue" option before. With Smart Assistant 4.4.0.12 my stock rooted Moto G6 (-6 version) the flash option says "Coming soon" with a small "Go Rescue" option in the bottom. It could be my computer or the root though, because I plugged in my Moto g 2015 Osprey with Ressurection Remix Pie and it says "Coming soon" for it too, though I'm not sure if that's the ROM's /root fault. I know the flash wouldn't work with root/ but thought it would at least show the option in the windows app for the stock g6.
I was looking for an alternative to RSDLite to re-flash my g6's current firmware since some have reported it fixing the widespread lag, guess manual is my only option.
Edit: It appears the Play Store link in the OP isn't the right app, I used the ADB method to install but just figured I would mention it.
Worked on my Moto Z4 xt1980-3, but was wonky at times--had to run it several times (would sometimes hang around 47%, other times said device not supported, though I had just downloaded the ROM of the supported device) but it's come through both times so far! -A
Options have changed again.

The security updates can't be simply separated from the update.
The specs are very similar but there are differences
Mainly the screen

Update : According to the Admin of POCO F1 MIUI Global Stable Beta Tester group in Telegram, the MIUI 11 release date given is the release date for testers, and not for public users. Public users will get it 2-3 weeks later once the test is successfully completed.
There hasn't been any other updates or confirmations regarding this, but given the fact that Beta Stable always precedes Global Stable, I would expect the former to be released to a limited number of users during the above mentioned time frame. So if you do not receive the update, do not panic. Beta Stable is a test release and might contain bugs. Kindly wait for the Global release.
Those who wants to join to MIUI Global Beta Stable Tester can refer to this thread and join the group - https://c.mi.com/thread-2480831-1-0.html

Update 2 : According to Alvin Tse's tweet, the POCO team has started limited testing for MIUI 11 yesterday. If all goes smoothly, users should see MIUI 11 in couple weeks or so. He has also confirmed that the update may come sooner to public if the testing goes well. He quoted "It depends on testing. If testing goes well, it'll come sooner ".

It can be 10 as well because Xiaomi is testing close beta 10 for poco as well with their secret beta program that was floated around the time public beta closed down.
We understand the frustration but even if it's 9 you wouldn't see much difference as ultimately it's miui 11 and you are not using Android Stock. Plus 10 wouldn't be much far ahead, it can come as close as next month

Officially Android 10 was released not long ago. What kind of angry bull**** you are trying to imitate? May be you don't deserve Xiaomi phone at all.
nice info...
i will not using MIUI 11
but i hope it will push dev to make ROM 10 more better and stable....
The 2 BIG Questions are:
1) Whether MIUI 11 will update OK over OTA (using just the phone itself as promised) without any hitch?
2) We can keep our Settings/Data and Apps when upgrading from mIUI v10 to v11 ?
Google Link to last 24 hours news on Poco MIUI 11 for the next few weeks, should see some interesting feedback after release in reviews:

I'm currently running the 9.9.27 version of MiRoom, which is MIUI 11.
It comes with Android 9.0
I'm assuming it'll be the same with official.
We will get always on feature?
I am asking that because poco f1 is not amoled display and without amoled display it will consume too much battery...any answer?
People must be happy that they will be receiving MIUI 11, otherwise there was no news about on POCO till last few days. Ever since the CEO of Poco left the company, there was no talk anymore about this phone anymore and suddenly Redme K20 came up.
Those who have bought this phone with their hard earned money, must deal with its issues (like I do) or better switch the phone. Otherwise our hardworking XDA devs are doing their best to provide best possible experience from our device with their custom Roms, that we won't feel our phonel outdated atleast for next 3 years, we all must be thankful to them.

I am new to poco f1. Previously I used oneplus 3t.
I want to ask that can I flash the full beryllium latest OTA zip in TWRP as I did it on my oneplus 3t or I will need Mi flash tool to make clean flash.
So, is ANT+ still disabled ? Android 9.x is a piece of sh*t in that regard...

This is great. Now we just have to find out how to force flash these to the other models, since these won't work on europe/us/etc models, opid mismatch. I tried to see if I could extract the KDZ to the images one by one, but sadly it's just one superimage of the whole memory map. I do not know how to split those.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tutorial-crossflash-bypass-opid-mismatched-error.4345963/ I used this guide to for the LG G8 to flash Android 11 on my LG G8X and it worked fine. Should work on the Velvet as well but I cannot test it myself as I currently don't own a Velvet anymore. Best of luck cheers

Can I have a link to the firmware you flashed on your g8x the one I flashed I am not getting security update on it
Hi there. Complete noob here, I got my S22 ultra in China, CSC CHC, I want to uncluttered and not be China centric, I know HK is more international, and their firmware able to handle more international access.
1st/ I got the Odin tool, but I would like to confirm which firmware should I be using.
2nd/ if I flash, will I also erase my data?
is there a way to change CSC without loosing all my apps, data and so on....
i have checked samkey but model is not supported.
I will move to Korea in a few weeks, is a Korean firmware a better idea in order to use Samsung pay and all other perks of the country.
Thank you again for your feedback and assistance.

While there is no menu setting for VoLTE, if you check your SIM Status you will find VoLTE is active. At least I do on my S9080 on TGY here in the UK on O2UK.

Did you find a solution to this issue? I also have a Chinese version of the S22+ (S9060 CHC) and want to change it to TGY to have access to WiFi passwords, Nearby Share, native Google services like voice assistant and whatnots.
