Upgrading from CM 12.1 to 14.1 - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, running OnePlus One rooted with CM 12.1 and I have a question about upgrading it to CM 14.1 https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/orig-development/official-cyanogenmod-14-1-oneplus-one-t3501278.
Do i need to first upgrade it to CM 13.1? Or, can I go directly from 12.1 > 14.1?
If the latter is possible, do I follow the instructions in the thread quoted or do I need additional steps?
thanks

Hi ,you can directly go to 14.1 but now isn't CM but LAOS , you only need to wipe data , system , dalvik except otg & internal and you should go install firmware , not sure cm12.1 one will go on 14.1 and flash rom + gapps + addons ( if you want )
Try this one : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952604019
Install newer TWRP before doing all I wrote to don't have a error
I use this one : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/recovery-twrp-3-0-3-k1-t3563692

Thanks for your reply. Let's see if I got it correctly:
1. install newer TWRP - your link
2. install firmware - your link
3. download rom from https://download.lineageos.org/bacon
4. install LineageOS following these instructions https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/bacon/install#installing-lineageos-from-recovery
5. flash gapps
Am I missing something?

If you want root you should only follow this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
after ending rebooting your device redo your things with setup wizard … reboot recovery and follow the guide
it has many features than SuperSU when I used it

Go to my guide thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2839471
Follow the instructions in section 1 to unlock your bootloader, then go to section 8 and follow those instructions and you'll have a full wipe and the latest firmware. Then you can follow sections 2 and 4 to flash TWRP recovery and get root.

[Android 6.0] Official ZUI 1.5.201 beta updated on 26th December 2015

WARNINGS:
This ROM is in the canary test and NOT STABLE.
You flash this rom on your own respondibility.
Someone have got stuck in a bootloop.
The default language is Chinese.
Flashing this ROM will convert your ZUK Z1 from COS 12.1 to ZUI, and the bootloader will be replaced and locked.
If you want to go back to COS, you can search for help in this forum.

Thanks man I downloaded the ROM file...
Here, I mirrored it on AndroidFileHost. This should make things easier to reach.
Hi,
Tried flashing the ROM with latest Breadcrust TWRP version. I had an error saying that the ROM was made for the "K9" model, and that mine is Z1. I modified the script in the rom file and finally flashed it, but I get stuck in a bootloop. Any ideas?
Thanks.

K9 is the ZUI's official device code of ZUK Z1.Try to convert to ZUI firstly, and rename the rom file to update.zip. Boot into the ZUI's recovery, wipe and flash.

using the smallest.. nano version.. until now almost 30 minutes stuck at ZUK boot logo (maybe bootloop) :crying:
maybe going back to ZUI 1.2.0.40
So is there anyone who boot correctly and is able to give us a report?
We clearly need a more detailed step by step for those of us having an international Zuk device. If I can try it (maybe tomorrow), I will post this detailed info.
I have unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP as well but while i'm trying to install GAPPS got error code:25, Now it's Bootloop i'm going back to the old version.

Switch from Darkobas ROM to Cyanogenmod/ OS

I've bought a used OPO that comes with Darkobas v.20160602-0, runs Android 6.0.1, kernel version 3.4.111-LightningSultanRemix...
The phone is rooted, and has Busy Box installed (not sure what this does).
I'd like to re-install Cyanogenmod or Cyanogen OS, whichever is easier, this being the first time I try to change a phone's OS.
Which one of the two - mod or OS - is easier to install?
Do the same steps apply as switching from stock Android to either of them?
Can you point me to an updated tutorial? I've searched a few, but got stuck at installing TWRP. I've installed TWRP Manager app, but it says Custom recovery not installed or not detected.
many thanks!
Switching over to COS or CM involve same number of steps.
Hold Power+Vol Low buttons to enter into recovery mode, if twrp loads then it's already installed.
Otherwise, visit the following links for reference:
Installing TWRP : https://youtu.be/10xIcNLszAg (Link to download twrp is in the video description)
Flashing COS : http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/official-cm11s-roms-ota-updates-t2906746 (Download your choice of zip from "Signed flashable zips", i.e., "cm-13.1-ZNH2KAS254-bacon-signed.zip")
Flashing CM : Visit https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=bacon , and download the zip of your choice and flash.

Questions regarding CM14.1 for moto g 2013

Hi I have a few questions regarding flashing CM14.1 on the moto g.
I'm a bit of a noob in this topic so I want to know if I've understood the process correctly,
1. 1)Have CM14.1 and Gapps .rar on your phone.
2)wipe dalvik, cache and data
3) flash/install CM14.1
4) flash/install Gapps
5) reboot phone, wait for about 15mins for initial loading and done.
Is this correct?
2. My phone is also rooted will I be unrooted if I do this?
3. This is all done on the phone right? The only thing I need a PC for is to download CM14 and Gapps and put it on my phone.
4. Is the currently nightly version the last one to be released? Does it have any problems? (I haven't been able to find any info on this myself)
Thank you very much.
1. U need unlocked Bootloader. proper Root
2. then you need A custom Recovery which for ex.TWRP
then ur ready to go...
just download rom and Gapps and follow the given instructions.
And it will not Affect ur Root Because cm14.1 comes with preinstalled root so dont worry about it.
and latest one is 20161220.

Obtain GApps from www.opengapps.org (Android 8.1 arm64+)
Good luck and I salute our dead device
This is for hiaeuhl, right?
15.1 should be universal, u can use it on both versions
Is rom stable?
depends on what u mean by "stable" yeah it works and runs fine, but the main issue with Los 16 is u don't have any audio while call
Do I need to be on nougat firmware before I can flash this rom?
Sent from my 2PQ93 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
you should have the latest stock firmware + bootloader etc. installed before u flash it ( i think )

True. Flash the latest stock firmware and boot all the way to setup. This way all partitions will be correctly mounted. Then flash TWRP followed by the ROM and GApps
Installation Package Error
I have an hiaeul phone, and i found an error in the update-script file. It attempts to mount a directory that does not exist. To correct, open the file and replace all occurrences of "/dev/block/platform/soc.0/7824900.sdhci/by-name/system" with "/dev/block/platform/7824900.sdhci/by-name/system".
NOTE: I am not sure if this holds true for other variations of HTC One A9, only edit if you get an error.
I found the problem
After installing Google framework service , have problems
