Stock Recovery for Huawei GR5 (BLL-L22)? - Honor 6X Questions & Answers

Hi,
Does anyone have the stock recovery image for the Huawei GR5 2017 (BLL-L22 on the EMUI 5.0 update?I need it in order to restore my phone to EMUI 5.0, as not having HWC on the custom ROMs makes the UI laggy, and I'd rather use that till the OpenKirin project fixes that issue.

Not really answering your question. I have a question myself. Is your phone rooted? Coz i would really love to know how to root bll-l22.

Download the firmware (that is compatible with your device) and then extract it.

I can help you to do it, but if I do, can you please send me a TWRP backup of stock EMUI 5.0? Please I'm desperate.
Here's how to root it anyways:
Pre requisite:
Minimal ADB and Fastboot installed, find it here: https://redirect.viglink.com/?forma...t and Hacking&txt=Download Version 1.4.2 Here .
1. Unlock the bootloader using this site: https://hwid5.vmall.com/CAS/mobile/...ndex&loginChannel=22000000&reqClientType=2023 . You'll need to create a free account with Huawei.
2. Reboot into fastboot after verifying successful bootloader unlock.
3. Download TWRP from here: https://github.com/OpenKirin/androi...ases/download/3.1.1-0/twrp-3.1.1-0-berlin.img and then rename the image to TWRP. Put it in the minimal ADB and Fastboot folder.
4. Install it by opening a command prompt in the folder (you can do this by shift right clicking and selecting "open windows PowerShell window here" and then typing cmd in the PowerShell prompt) and then typing " fastboot flash recovery twrp.img ".
5. Unplug the phone from the PC, and then boot into TWRP by holding power and volume up.
6. Flash a root solution such as magisk from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445 .
7. Reboot and you should be rooted on EMUI 5.0 with your Huawei GR5 2017 BLL-L22.
Hit the thanks button if I helped.

I followed your method.
I flashed update.zip and data (1st n 2nd in ff). But only BLL-L22 .......370 is supported.
Thank you all for BLL-L22 oeminfo.
But still my 4g isn't working. I did debranding from BLN-24 to BLN-L22 and BLN-L22 to BLL-L22.... But still I am facing same problem.
* activated 4g twice
* Changed sim
* Tried different service provider
* Debranding to 2 different region
* Went to Huawei service center
Still 4g isn't working. Is honor 6x actually 4g phone ?
Because when I was using USA firmware it showed 4g on signal but never use 4g.

Put sim in sim slot 1 only.

Are you sure you are using 4G. please check your speed and let me know.
Because when my phone was in USA version (L24 ) firmware. All time it showed 4G sign on signal but when i checked my speed it was around 2-3 Mbps. It only shows 4G sign on signal but it actually run in 3G. When i activated 4G on my sim. My cellular provider gave me 2GB date as a bonus for 4G network only. But that bonus i could not use it because i was never in 4G. I called my cellular provider they told me your phone is using only 3G network.
After debranding it doesnot show 4G sign in signal. That's the only difference.
sorry for my bad english. i hope you will understand.

Update.zip for TA-1025

Hey guys,
I have both Variants of the Nokia, the TA-1000 and the TA-1025.
Last night I did something stupid. I was trying to flash the update for my TA-1000 to get google services, and like an idiot flashed it onto my 1025.
Now all I can access is the recovery.
If anyone could please provide me with the update.zip from a 1025 variant I would greatly appreciated.

hi sir !
I got nokia 6 TA-1021 from amazon and it is manually updated to the october security update along with 7.1.2 system update but somethimg gots wrong and its now only works in recovery mode !!!!
I hope you have the same problem which you said that your phone is in recovery mode.
It is because of the Original , Stock firmware is corrupted or has been deleted and the new update is also partially installed.
So all that we need is the stock firmware and a tool to install it in.
i got the firmware from XDA but it is in extension .nb0 it can only flashed by SUT L3 or SOT tool which has downloaded also from the link provided by XDA , but it is showing that the software updater is out of date and it need to be updated first but no option for it.....
so if there is any possible way to convert the nb0 file to zip that is signed and then we can manually flash it without pc or with pc............
any help would be appreciated....
Sorry for my bad grammar!!!!!

Flashing US Stock Rom on Chinese Honor 6X

If this question has been answered, I do apologize. I did search but could not find it.
I just bought an Honor 6X online and discovered that it is a Chinese version ( Model BLN-AL10, Build BLN-AL10C00B379, EMUI Version 5.0.1, Android 7.0). Is it possible to flash the US stock firmware without bricking the phone. If possible a little guidance will go a long way.
Thank you.

In my research, I found US files in this website "http://www.androhippo.com/huawei-honor-6x" and downloaded the US L24C567B360 "update.zip" and "update_full_BLN_L24_hw_usa.zip". However, I wanted to ask you if you are familiar with this website and the 2 referenced files.
I can't flash using the dload method because my phone does not read the microsd card (defective). Can I flash using the MiFlash app?
Thank you.

We need sd card here. On some cases with my Honor 5C, it worked without sd card and dload was working with internal memory bht cant confirm as others have never reported this behaviour

You are right, I tried "dload" from internal storage, didn't work (I am trying to find someone here in the US to fix my defective microsd card reader). When you have a moment, please let me know what you think of "androhippo" and if I could trust the stock roms they listed. I am not sure whether the US rom they listed is full or not (it is a 3.5 GB file).
Thank you.

Sorry for late response on this.
I am not sure on how can you debrand this to US version as I dont have the files yet, mainly OEMINFO file. Once I get it, I can guide you step by step. in fact there is a guide in my signature to do it the best way. I have published this guide yesterday and of you want you can debrand to Indian version BLN-L22.
For US version these 3 files are required (Plus the oeminfo file which couldn't find yet) but 2 of them are same as you downloaded but through a different channel.
Main ZIp- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1279/g104/v82849/f1/full/update.zip
Data file- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...BLN-L24_hw_usa/update_full_BLN-L24_hw_usa.zip
This below may not be required to debrand but in case you face any issues after debranding then you can use this.
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...49/f1/full/public/update_data_full_public.zip
Once I get the oeminfo file, I can 100% debrand your phone to US version.
refer this for the simplest steps you could do debrand.

There is an easier and much safer way to update if you still have a SIM card of the country you purchased the phone from. It doesn't even have to be active anymore. Just insert it and reboot, then connect to wifi and all the updates will pop up.
Hope that helps

I don't think it matters. Bought a USA C567 for a friend and he is using it in Europe with European sim and he got the C567 Oreo before me. I still didn't get mine. I believe all firmwares are eventually approved for all imei's in a certain model, like model L29. You can check old FF's on the FF app for older firmware and you will see it is approved for almost every region. At least my USA phone is...

Believe it or not but it matters! Maybe your friend activated the C567 phone with a European SIM card and that's why he receives updates.
I bought a C636 phone in Cambodia and am constantly traveling around South East Asia. I never receive updates of any kind but the moment I insert a Cambodian SIM card the updates pop up.

Where do you get "oeminfo.bin"? There's a thread with a collection of them but all for Nougat... If the phone is currently on Oreo and want to rebrand staying on Oreo... I can use those Nougat oeminfos?

Well, if I had read it more carefully I would've said you need to downgrade to Nougat.
But it's done if you follow the instructions.
Sorry for the misinformation.
Edit: Though, with an oeminfo.bin from Oreo you should be able to rebrand straight to Oreo.
You could always ask mankindtw, he should know.

I wanted to avoid downgrading and then upgrading again, because it just increase the chances of things going wrong
