Hello, everyone, I'm aptx486 from China.
I also wanna get my i8700 updated to mango.
When I finished the preparation and launch devretailupdate, it told me failed with code 1.
And my phone stayed at the starting logo.
My computer, xp sp3, x86, sdk 7.0, no problem in installing xap.
How could I avoid devretailupdate failure and get my phone updated to mango?

I have a problem with unlocking my htc hd2 with Chevron.
Since i upgraded my phone from WP7.0 to WP7.5 i have an connection error problem.
When i first installed WP7 on it it unlocked without any problem then i upgraded the same phone with the 7.5 wp version it seems to have problems unlocking it.
I tried everything step by step even uninstalling and installing sdk and zune but it still seems to be giving me the same problems.
I also tried to delete all the info in the hosts file and it still wont work.
Maybe its because i use the same pc and the same phone because after i updated 7.0 it saw the phone normally like an htc hd2 but after i flashed it with the 7.5 rom it saw the phone as the leo70.
I run windows 7 64 bit and i have no idea what else to try.
I also tried the dns dump and everything can someone help me out or should i just downgrade to 7.0 again ??
i really like this phone other than it has windows 8 is there any way to install android on this device or completely remove windows 8 or maybe a dual boot ? i cant find any custom roms on the net any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

I've Been searching for a while and didnt see alot of info on some tutorials for installing GPE Lollipop on a Windows phone. Did I miss the boat or something?
If I understand correctly I need to Root first, flash android to my device and then install the ROM. I'm a little hazy on how to get Windows 8.1 off my phone and put android lollipop on it and then install the GPE ROM.
I almost resorted to unlocking the bootloader of my Huawei Mate 9
So my friend and I swapped phone. I gave him my Huawei P9 and he gave me his Mate 9. The unit's stuck on EMUI 5 / Android 7. I know that later updates have been around for quite some time now. First, I tried searching for updates through the system updater-- didn't work. I flashed firmware through "dload method" which also failed miserably. Then I read that you can "force" an update thru TWRP. As a preparation, I downloaded HiSuite to backup some data on my PC. I sh*t you not, the app immediately detected an update. The app allowed me to update the phone (a series of updates though) to the latest version. So if you're facing the same predicament, try this out.
Download HiSuite for PC, install, connect your Huawei phone, and the application will then guide you on how to set things up. On successful connection, an option (HiSuite on PC) may detect an update for your phone. The app will download the update and install it on your phone. You may choose not to update too.
