this is my first time flashing android with Odin. So I'd like some reassurance from more experienced people..
I have Galaxy Tab 7.7 with stock TGY (HK) version of Android. I want to replace it with XEU stock ROM using this article: http://www.techgoondu.com/2012/07/1...samsung-galaxy-tab-7-7-to-ice-cream-sandwich/
I do not want to root my device
Will I be able to continue with 'usual' Kies upgrades in the future?
Also I read a post here that a guy had rather large problem flashing Chinese Galaxy SII with EU firmware. Luckily someone helped him with custom ROM... Is there known problem with flashing Tab 7.7 HK ROM with EU ROM ?
Galaxy S Duos couldn't flash ROMS from a different region??
Can't flash a European version official ROM, the odin always stop at fat.bin, probably modem file??
if can't flash the euro version, the kyleopen rom can't be applied, what a shame!

Hey, what's up guys?
Need some info please....please don't bash me...lol
I will be getting my Note 5 soon and would like to start tinkering with it, I would like to know if i can install another firmware on the device? I did some research and to my understanding, only corresponding firmware can be flashed. e.g. any other country N920i firmware can be flashed on a N920i variant.
I will be getting a T-Mobile variant soon and would like to know if i could somehow wipe the device and flash another variant's firmware?
I know it could be done with the HTC M8 so i'm a bit curious if it can be done with the Note 5 device too.....
p.s. I chose the t-mobile variant because of all the attention and development its been receiving compared to the other models. International variants usually have the most developments, roms and especially faster software updates....but t-mobile seems to have the lead for now with roms etc. Feel free to enlighten/correct me please......
Hi,
I've bought a couple of S6 flats which are potentially American variants, I haven't received them yet. I used to have the G920F and we had BTU and XEU firmware that we could flash which didn't include any carrier bloatware.
My question is, is there a similar firmware CSC for the American variants that doesn't include T-Mobile bloatware for example?
Thanks.
I have the T-Mobile variant S6 Edge, but I don't know of any official firmware that can be flashed directly onto a T-Mobile that doesn't have their bloatware. I know you can flash any custom ROM like OdexLite on it that supports either the G92xT or G92xW8, as they are both compatible with each other. The downside to doing that is that you'll obviously trip KNOX, the upside being that you'll have a very debloated ROM, even more than what you would have being on an official, non-carrier ROM.

Ok thanks for your response, I'll probably flash custom roms on them if they turn out to be full of crappy apps.
Thanks.

There is really many good ROM's with support T-version From those what I tested, every one support T/W8 And also good kernels like N0G33K or Aldeon. ROM's are really diffrent so I cannot recommend you anyone because you could'nt like it But for me best are two S8 ports: Ultimate and Noble and also Ultimate but "normal", S6 stock-based

I'll probably go with odexlite, it's stock based. The phones are for family who just use them for daily use, texting, calls and photos. I used to have noble ROM, odexlite, Griffin ROM etc on my s6 a few months ago before I got the s8.
I have bought OP 9 and I have some questions and need our community to help
1. Every OP 9 has a model name (LE21xx) can use all custom rom here?
2. If my model has Single-SIM Function (like my T-mobile OP 9) could have a chance to get Dual-SIM when moving to custom ROM?

What firmware are you on? You can use any custom rom,the device names is to do with region's so nothing to do with the ROM itself.. if you're on T-Mobile I'd suggest carrier unlocking it by getting the provider to do that or you can do it yourself with a bit of research over here on the forums
