Replacing stock firmware with stock firmare. Different region

this is my first time flashing android with Odin. So I'd like some reassurance from more experienced people..
I have Galaxy Tab 7.7 with stock TGY (HK) version of Android. I want to replace it with XEU stock ROM using this article: http://www.techgoondu.com/2012/07/1...samsung-galaxy-tab-7-7-to-ice-cream-sandwich/
I do not want to root my device
Will I be able to continue with 'usual' Kies upgrades in the future?
Also I read a post here that a guy had rather large problem flashing Chinese Galaxy SII with EU firmware. Luckily someone helped him with custom ROM... Is there known problem with flashing Tab 7.7 HK ROM with EU ROM ?

[Discussion] PIT, PDA, CSC does it matter?

To fully understand this discussion you must know how to use odin I'm sure 99% of the people on this fourm know how to flash firmwares via odin.
Today i was flashing the official 4.4.2 update for my gt-i9505 (S4) for and acsidentally included the 4.3 csc
realising it was too late to pull out the cable i let it flash then realised that my phone was working perfecly fine
thinking it was luck i tried the same on my samsung galaxy ace II with a jellybean pda and a gingerbread csc, again worked perfecly fine
so my questions are:
have you ever done this before and on what model/firmware version?

Yes but my sittuation is different:
I flashed csc from galaxy ace to csc galaxy y and working.
I think all CSC's are same on all firmware's but not contains all countries according to baseband.

You can't flash a stock ROM for a different device, bootloader etc are wrong and it will fail (if you are lucky) if it flashed you'd brick your phone
Only way to flash a ROM for a different device would be if it was modded to be flashed in TWRP etc, with the bootloader/modem removed, or whatever was incompatible
As long as the two devices had identical hardware
For example, the G900F S5 and the G900T S5 are the same phones hardware wise, but you can't just flash a G900T stock to the G900F or vice versa, you need to mod them and remove BL and Modem first, then flash with custom recovery

The only stock ROMs you can flash with ODIN are the ones for your model S7
For example mine is the G930F, I can only flash G930F stock ROMs
If you go custom, you can flash whatever custom ROMs are available for that model S7

Hi mate
When you say normal rom , what you mean custom rom or stck firmware
Unfortunately on Snapdragon version ( US carriers) you can not flash a custom rom , no root and lock bootloader, you can only flash stock firmware ( for snapdragon).
Anyhow check in the right forum , this is for the international S8+ version ( Exynos)
check here

Can I flash ROM of different carrier Korean version?

Hello so I have my a90 with lgu ROM and I wonder whether I can flash like skt firmware without tripping Knox or maybe even global firmware since the jw should be same not like S series this have sd855. Cause lgu is somehow buggy.
Thanks for answers in advance

Your model number need to match the rom...and if there is international version then yes you can...it will not trip Knox if official downloaded from sammobile...
