Xposed Framework for 7.0? - Sony Xperia XA Questions & Answers

Has anyone yet tried to install xposed framework on their Xperia XA running android 7.0? If yes, how does it perform? Lots of bugs? I'm too afraid to try it out yet

I am using it since few days ago, up to now I haven't yet encounter any bug! My phone does not pass SafetyNet test, just after the installation! But It works fine for me, XA F3111, android 7.0:good::good::good:

Works perfectly on my XAU after wiping cache/dalvik. The only problem is that not all modules work :/

Is Xposed working for the Z3 yet?

I achieved root today, and am looking into Xposed but so far it seems to be only in BETA mode for lollypop/Sony phones.
Is this right, or is there a confirmed working version?
yes xposed works fine

Its in Alpha state, but is working. Many modules is not working on LP yet.
I use ALPHA 4 and NUTs dual recovery 2.8.14.
here a thread with the modules that I tested and work
Sorry for my English!
here's another thread that lists working xposed modules. I installed many of them myself:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/xposed-modules-lollipop-t3098344
the easiest way for me to get xposed was to root, install dual recovery, and flash this:

It is very much up to the maturity of the modules you are using. Simple ones like "Lock Screen clock mods" will work flawlessly, complicated ones like "GravityBox" or "Xprivacy" still have lots of bugs to iron out. Personally I would give it a few days between module installs to check for any issues.
It's pretty much perfect now except for a slight battery drain that I noticed but using greenify properly the drain also not noticeable. As said before there are problems with a few modules but all the simpler modules work flawlessly.

That is interesting. I just installed 5.1.1 on my nexus 7 and rooted it. Then when I installed xposed, it said it could not yet work on 5.1.1 because it could not write to the sdcard.
I went to the xposed website and I believe I read that the developer was still working on "stabilizing" xposed for 5.0 before working on 5.1.1. That's why I was holding off updating my nexus 5 from kitkat to 5.1.1.
Maybe I had the wrong installer. Are you saying xposed framework is working on the nexus 5 with 5.1.1? Which xposed installer did you use? Did xprivacy or gravitybox work?
Thanks.

So, what are you saying? This is an alpha version which would be scary to use for a regular user.
Is it supposed to work in 5.1.1?
(search only helps if you know enough to know what to search for)

Not nice......
And not helpful. Some of us use our devices for more than play.
I'll just remain with kitkat + a working xposed.

Honest feedback: read more, post less. You are worried about the wrong things.
@Anderson2: To give you a less childish response, the available alpha version linked to earlier has been stable for me on a Nexus 5 with stock 5.1.1. I'm only using GravityBox, SwypeTweaks, and Advanced Power Menu, but those have been working fine.
I don't know if this applies to other devices, but with the Nexus 5 there are only certain versions of TWRP recovery that work for installing Xposed. For example, 2.8.6.1 works, 2.8.6.0 doesn't, but there are some earlier versions that do work.

Thank you CSX321. At last a helpful answer. Thanks for the tips. You may have given me some important clues. I'll check to see if my TWRP is 2.8.6.1 or not. I'll also check to see if I have the correct alpha version. I only need xposed for 2 modules: xprivacy and gravitybox.
I'm sticking to kitkat on my nexus 5 until I'm sure I can get xposed working on the n7. So I'm doing my testing on my nexus 7 and boy am I glad I did that!
I appreciate your taking the time to write and help.

Thank you again CSX321. my TWRP was 2.8.6.0, not 2.8.6.1. I checked and it is the latest available version for flo (nexus 7 2013 wifi). That's why xposed would no install. I'll just have to wait some more.
I asked in this forum because I couldn't find an appropriate thread in the nexus 7 2013 forum. Now I know why.
Thanks for the help.
OK. I had the wrong xposed zip.
For others who also had trouble, on the nexus 7 2013:
TWRP 2.8.6.0 is not the problem. It works. I had the wrong xposed file.
*The one that worked is xposed-sdk22-arm-20150609.zip

Xposed for Lollipop

I didn't see a dedicated thread for the awe-inspiring Xposed module on this forum, so I'd figure I'd start one so that folks using the Moto X can discuss it here rather than mixing our devices with others on the Xposed discussion thread.
Below is the link to the official Xposed release thread for LP:

Here's the link for gravity box:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3037566
there appears to be a few different variations:
- ARM
- ARM64
- x86
I'm guessing that our device is ARM as opposed to ARM64, as I do not see a lib64 in my system directory?
I have not installed it yet, as I'm still on the NeXus ROM (which already has the options I desire to modify the framework. But now I'll go try AOSP with Xposed to see the difference.
I'm running the official release, can confirm our device runs the regular ARM version (sdk22 for Lollipop 5.1 users).

Hello all.
I have my phone rooted and bootloader unloked, but with stok room (5.1).
What Xposed version should I choose?
zip xposed-v75-sdk22-arm.zip
zip xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64.zip
In your case it is working correctly?
Is GravityBox_Lollipop_5.3.2 version working correctly on ower device?
Thanks for your time

xposed-v75-sdk22-arm.zip not xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64.zip for Moto X(2013) because Moto X doesn't have 64bit processor. And yes GravityBox 5.3.2 working perfectly. Just make sure you do a nandroid backup from recovery before installing Xposed, just to be safe.

Oh right, of course. SKD23 is Marshmallow right. My bad. But is there any new features/bug fixes in the v78? I mean v75 is running perfectly well, wouldn't want to try and fix whats not broken and invite trouble, if you know what I mean.

Miss having Xposed, but the PurifyOS doesn't work for me. I can flash the zip in FF, Installer says that everything is ready to go, I can download any module I want, but when I reboot to enable even one, the phone softbricks and I'm stuck reflashing QB1 with HOME_CSC, re-rooting, and picking up where I left off. Might be the best bet just to wait for Rovo to get his version implemented.
Hey, at least we got root on a locked boot-loader. Having AdAway and CF.Lumen again makes me VERY happy. lol

Use magisk modules. There is a module for this. I'm using it. IYTBP is the module name.

Xposed for 7.1.2 "Nougat" is here

This thread serves as an informational post/guide to confirm that as of this writing Xposed is here "Unofficially" for nougat and it does indeed work on the T-mobile variant "H918" and I'm sure the other variants too but since I only have an H918 it's the only one I've tested.
Working on SDK24 and SDK25
Original thread:https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221
Quick rundown:
1.)Please be fully aware that this is an unofficial solution so expect possible bugs.
2.)Magisk SafetyNet will fail with Xposed installed
3.)Until they get the Magisk Module for Xposed working it will continue to fail.
Installation:
1.)Make sure you have a backup of your current ROM just in case, I nor anyone else is responsible for anything that may happen.
2.)Download the linked items below, Starting first with the installer.
3.)After you've installed the installer "apk" boot into recovery and flash which ever zip you need for your ROM.
4.)Welcome back to sweet sweet Xposed on Nougat!
Links:

SDK25 Android 7.1.X: http://fastkit.org/xposed/classic/SDK25/26-07-17-xposed-v87-sdk25-Xposed-by-PurifyOS.zip

http://fastkit.org/xposed/classic/Uninstaller /xposed-uninstaller-20170719-x86.zip
Lastly, Since Xposed for Nougat is still fresh right now, There's a bunch of modules that won't work still because they do not support Nougat.....Yet.
This thread here is being constantly updated to confirm what works: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-list-modules-nougat-xposed-t3639615
None of this is my work, This is just a guide!
All credits go to @rovo89 for even making this a possibility to do right now by creating Xposed, Without him it wouldn't exist.
Additional credits go to @ABForce for making an unofficial solution for Xposed nougat, Without his work we'd still be waiting currently.
And lastly credits go to @ErnyTech and the team of PurifyOS for taking @ABForce work and allowing it to be simply flashed easily through TWRP.

I've tested this with Resurrection Remix, Seems to work with a few hiccups here and there. And no problem, I figured that even though it's on the front page of XDA, people still might not see it and a thread within the device forum would be helpful.
