It is very much up to the maturity of the modules you are using. Simple ones like "Lock Screen clock mods" will work flawlessly, complicated ones like "GravityBox" or "Xprivacy" still have lots of bugs to iron out. Personally I would give it a few days between module installs to check for any issues.
It's pretty much perfect now except for a slight battery drain that I noticed but using greenify properly the drain also not noticeable. As said before there are problems with a few modules but all the simpler modules work flawlessly.

That is interesting. I just installed 5.1.1 on my nexus 7 and rooted it. Then when I installed xposed, it said it could not yet work on 5.1.1 because it could not write to the sdcard.
I went to the xposed website and I believe I read that the developer was still working on "stabilizing" xposed for 5.0 before working on 5.1.1. That's why I was holding off updating my nexus 5 from kitkat to 5.1.1.
Maybe I had the wrong installer. Are you saying xposed framework is working on the nexus 5 with 5.1.1? Which xposed installer did you use? Did xprivacy or gravitybox work?
Thanks.

So, what are you saying? This is an alpha version which would be scary to use for a regular user.
Is it supposed to work in 5.1.1?
(search only helps if you know enough to know what to search for)

Not nice......
And not helpful. Some of us use our devices for more than play.
I'll just remain with kitkat + a working xposed.

Honest feedback: read more, post less. You are worried about the wrong things.
@Anderson2: To give you a less childish response, the available alpha version linked to earlier has been stable for me on a Nexus 5 with stock 5.1.1. I'm only using GravityBox, SwypeTweaks, and Advanced Power Menu, but those have been working fine.
I don't know if this applies to other devices, but with the Nexus 5 there are only certain versions of TWRP recovery that work for installing Xposed. For example, 2.8.6.1 works, 2.8.6.0 doesn't, but there are some earlier versions that do work.

Thank you CSX321. At last a helpful answer. Thanks for the tips. You may have given me some important clues. I'll check to see if my TWRP is 2.8.6.1 or not. I'll also check to see if I have the correct alpha version. I only need xposed for 2 modules: xprivacy and gravitybox.
I'm sticking to kitkat on my nexus 5 until I'm sure I can get xposed working on the n7. So I'm doing my testing on my nexus 7 and boy am I glad I did that!
I appreciate your taking the time to write and help.

Thank you again CSX321. my TWRP was 2.8.6.0, not 2.8.6.1. I checked and it is the latest available version for flo (nexus 7 2013 wifi). That's why xposed would no install. I'll just have to wait some more.
I asked in this forum because I couldn't find an appropriate thread in the nexus 7 2013 forum. Now I know why.
Thanks for the help.
OK. I had the wrong xposed zip.
For others who also had trouble, on the nexus 7 2013:
TWRP 2.8.6.0 is not the problem. It works. I had the wrong xposed file.
*The one that worked is xposed-sdk22-arm-20150609.zip

Xposed technically isn't an app, only it's installer is. It hasn't been updated to Lollipop because of the AOT (ahead of time) nature of ART (Android Runtime).
So is there another way to install closed modules.

Hi everyone, I'm going to post a separate thread about this. None other than @jrkruse has once again made us a stock modified rom for the Verizon galaxy S5. Lets go over the basics shall we?
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
You MUST have an unlocked bootloader in order for root to work!(Or you may/probably will bootloop your phone)
This rom uses an updated bootloader, but it is not needed, you may flash this over the PD1 and PF4 bootloader!
If you wish to update your bootloader or need to unlock, please goto my thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...t/rd-unlocking-galaxys-s5-bootloader-t3337909
Features
DEODEXED
Knox Removed!
Amazon Bloat Removed
Verizon Bloat Removed
Rooted!
Hotspot Fix!
Installation
Please read everything Above before continuing
Well you continued so I assume you understand what you are doing
One last time, you MUST HAVE AN UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER TO FLASH
You also MUST BE ON PD1+ Bootloaders!
You need to download the ROM from here
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=312968873555004789
Flash it inside TWRP or Flashfire or Safestrap(Or whatever method you may be using to flash roms)
I recommend against Dirty flashing however if you are coming from a 6.0.1 ROM you probably are fine
Wipe Cache/Dalvik
Reboot!
You should be done!
Extras
If you would like xposed, this framework should work

http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/suhide-t3450396
You CANNOT use xposed unless you use a systemless xposed compiled for our Samsung devices @wanam usually does a good job at that)
Expect bootlooping or problems!

theres a difference between running a MM rom on a Kitkat bootloader and running a STOCK SAMSUNG MM ROM on a kitkat bootloader
custom roms don't care as much, but stock do

I don't know for sure, but my bet is it because the programs check something for security/anticheat reasons, and since we are rooted and unlocked it fails and won't work. That's just a guess though.

Wasn't sure if it had something to do with the fact that some of the bloatware was removed or what you are saying. I am on rooted, deodexed, modded PF4 already but never tried either app so for all I know I cannot use them already on my current ROM.
EDIT: And now I see what happens on PF4 with Samsung Pay. The app cannot verify the Android software when adding a card, rendering Android Pay useless. Oh well.
I am having screen overlay detected issue with GravityBox but the rom awesome .

I use it on s7 and it works fine but I don't use xposed. I used an earlier version on s5 and it worked but then again I didn't use xposed framework. So I guess the best would be just read through the suhide thread and see if latest versions work with xposed. By the way I meant to ask earlier, how is everything going. Good I hope. Things are a bit of mayhem, stuff not working, computers breaking, limited internet. Always something. Anyhow, @Chainfire said it doesn't work with xposed, only systemless
Hello, sorry if I'm posting on the wrong site, I'm new to this forums and not accustomed to this.
My device is the Blu Life Mark and while many people seem to own some Blu phones there doesn't appear to be any mention of the life mark almost anywhere, not even listed in the devices here.
Is there an equivalent to the life mark? I've looked everywhere but I can't find any way to flash xposed framework apart from a couple of references that assume I have twrp, yet it doesn't exist for this model.
I used kingroot to root my phone, if that's of any importance.
Help would be extremely appreciated! Thanks.
Get the supersu me App
And get supersu on the device then get BusyBox installed and then install flashfire app and from there flash xposed framework zip in flashfire app I've never owned a blue device hope this works for you

Miss having Xposed, but the PurifyOS doesn't work for me. I can flash the zip in FF, Installer says that everything is ready to go, I can download any module I want, but when I reboot to enable even one, the phone softbricks and I'm stuck reflashing QB1 with HOME_CSC, re-rooting, and picking up where I left off. Might be the best bet just to wait for Rovo to get his version implemented.

Use magisk modules. There is a module for this. I'm using it. IYTBP is the module name.
This thread serves as an informational post/guide to confirm that as of this writing Xposed is here "Unofficially" for nougat and it does indeed work on the T-mobile variant "H918" and I'm sure the other variants too but since I only have an H918 it's the only one I've tested.
Working on SDK24 and SDK25
Original thread:https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221
Quick rundown:
1.)Please be fully aware that this is an unofficial solution so expect possible bugs.
2.)Magisk SafetyNet will fail with Xposed installed
3.)Until they get the Magisk Module for Xposed working it will continue to fail.
Installation:
1.)Make sure you have a backup of your current ROM just in case, I nor anyone else is responsible for anything that may happen.
2.)Download the linked items below, Starting first with the installer.
3.)After you've installed the installer "apk" boot into recovery and flash which ever zip you need for your ROM.
4.)Welcome back to sweet sweet Xposed on Nougat!

Lastly, Since Xposed for Nougat is still fresh right now, There's a bunch of modules that won't work still because they do not support Nougat.....Yet.
This thread here is being constantly updated to confirm what works: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-list-modules-nougat-xposed-t3639615
None of this is my work, This is just a guide!
All credits go to @rovo89 for even making this a possibility to do right now by creating Xposed, Without him it wouldn't exist.
Additional credits go to @ABForce for making an unofficial solution for Xposed nougat, Without his work we'd still be waiting currently.
And lastly credits go to @ErnyTech and the team of PurifyOS for taking @ABForce work and allowing it to be simply flashed easily through TWRP.
