Latest firmware available!? - Sony Xperia XZ Premium Questions & Answers

Hi!
Does anyone has a FTF for the latest firmware? I'm currently stock on the latest firmware on my brand new XZP but on the US version and I want to have the fingerprint scanner enabled. I tried with Xperifirm but Im having problems downloading.

Yeah, you can find the ftf file here. Since right now the latest version is 45.0.A.7.120, sort by discovered and choose a ftf to download with what CDA you want.

Thanks man! Im just having problems flashing now. Since Flashtool doesnt recognize the XZP still.

You have to use NewFlasher.
Use at your own risk though.

S6 - SM-G920i Firmware

Hey everyone,
I have a g920idvu1aod1 Samsung that I bought off of eBay, pretty sure it came from Latin America. Anyways, is there an OTA update or a firmware I can flash to get to 5.1.1? Everyone else seems to have this update but when I go into settings, there's nothing.
Any ideas?
India currently has the latest 5.1.1 firmware for the 920i. Download from: http://samsung-updates.com/details/48408/Galaxy_S6_SM-G920I/SM-G920I/INU/G920IDVU2COF8.html and flash with Odin.
The phone isn't from India though, like I said in the OP. It's from Latin America.. will it still work if I flash..? Because I believe that it's a different baseband version. Mine ends in AOD1.. the one you gave me ends in COF8.

Doesn't matter, still works.
The letters at the end are just the version number.
So long as it is for a 920i you're sweet to go. (My phone is from Australia, works fine on Indian firmware.)
edit: This link here should be faster to download the Samsung-updates, it's the same one I used on my phone.: http://d-h.st/YOpx
Use the "Download Now" button, not the normal "Download" Button for a direct link rather then a dodgy looking .exe file

Alright, I'll try it out tonight! Do I just put this file in the "AP" section of odin and I'm good to go?
Do I have to be in "downloading" mode? Sorry, I'm a noob

Spot on mate. Put phone in Download mode, then flash with ap section of Odin.
Backup anything you want to keep first as this will erase absolutely everything on your phone and update your bootloader, baseband, modem etc. to the latest versions and start up like a brand new phone again.

Flash this stock 51.1 ROM via odin.

Dunno, only used it for 5 minutes.
Basically just wanted the new baseband, bootloader and modem then flashed back to a modified bogg for the system itself.

Xperia Flashtool & XperiFirm - all about

Hi guys, I am opening this thread, so this could be the main thread about flashing new firmware, problems with flashing, anything related with Flashtool and firmware for our Z5 Sumire.
I hope, everyone will agree with me, and the devs will allow this thread.
Cheers.
Yes we need this, so many people asking where to get stock and how to flash stock
Great, I have a question totally about this topic! I have at this moment a branded stock firmware on my Z5. I want to debrand it flashing a general MM firmware and I already know how to do that. At this point it's better make a backup and wipe all while flashing, or I could leave all the data and app because I will stay on a MM firmware?
Thanks to all
p.s.
Has anyone flashed Android N with flashtool. I keep getting a corrupt screen, when booting up. Is the dev still active on this tool? Thanks.

I don´t get it, you want to keep all your data and flash other MM firmware? Then it is better to make back-up and after flashing you return your things.
In my case I prefer to wipe all data during the flash process, and even do the repair software after in Xperia Companion.

Bro you are in the wrong section, this is for Xperia Z5, but anyway, try to find Marshamllow firmware which gets OTA update for the Nougat, flash that firmware and after just do the OTA update.
and if you can´t flash through the flashtool, repair software over the Xperia Companion first, and then do the what I said above.
Also, for everyone with Z5 I suggest you to flash Russian firmware, so you will be in the first row for the Nougat update when it comes to our device. Or any Xperia device, I know that Russian firmware is one of the best for getting the update first.

Exactly, I want to debrand my Z5, so I want flash another MM firmware. Ok, probably you're right. It's better to make back-up so I can do a clean flash. Thank you.

Nope, that's because you have the US version of the Z5 dual and it has been specifically disabled. If you want to get the fingerprint sensor working you need to flash international firmware, or there are some threads that tell you what files you need to replace. Search and you should find what you're looking for.

Then you should be fine. It might not be working occasionally because there might be a bug in the firmware you're using. My only suggestion would be to make sure you're on the latest version of the firmware for your region, or try flashing firmware from another region. I'm using Customized UK firmware and I have no issues with the fingerprint sensor. Short of that the only other option would be a hardware failure, but it sounds more like a software bug.

It looks like you're a couple firmware versions behind; the latest firmware released for your phone is 32.2.A.5.11. Since you mentioned that your phone won't automatically update itself through the software update it sounds like you may have modified your phone in such a way (i.e., unlocking the bootloader, or modifying system files) that you might have to manually flash the firmware to your phone. There is a program called Flashtool that you can use to download and flash firmware to your phone. It's a great tool and something that you can learn to use after a few minutes of reading in the support thread.
If you've made any modifications to your phone, it would be helpful to know what those are understand why your phone won't update on its own. But most likely you'll have to use Flashtool to update your phone.
EDIT: In the future if you want to see what the latest version of firmware is for your phone you can use the XperiCheck website.

Did you write all your data when you flashed the new firmware with Flashtool? Maybe try flashing again, but make sure you wipe everything so you're starting with a clean phone. Set up the phone and make sure everything works, then flash a custom kernel.

Look again on that window (it's also in the screenshot),
there clearly is a 5.11 firmware (in the right frame of the app).
Took me also quite some time until I discovered it in the past - I thought I was stuck with only the latest firmware

5.11 is just the update code, it is the latest Android 6.0.1, you can install all regions but default one is much more compatible.
Just download and flash, do not forget to select ALL WIPE options. You have to wipe for downgrade.
