As the thread says, share your homescreen with everyone. Also, include instructions as to how you achieved it, i.e.
- which launcher
- share the wallpaper
- share the widgets you're using
I will share mine next week as soon as I get the tablet.
Use SCREEN MAKER App to make it look like the screenshot is actually a picture of your device itself.
I'd love to see a screenshot of Nova Launcher running on the Xperia Z.

Nova Launcher Prime. Hopefully there will be a way to flash CM or any other AOSP based rom on the Wifi version as I can't stand the Honeycomb like nav buttons and all the Sony bloatware. Tried to replace most of the Sony apps with proper stock Android apps, and thankfully Nova Launcher let's me hide all the things I don't need.
Chose this tablet because of the unavailability of the Nexus 10 over here, the weight of the tablet, and the (wrong) assumption this tablet would be easy to turn into a "pseudo-Nexus" because of Sony's involvement in AOSP.
So hopefully some clever devs will find a way soon.

Hey, looks nice, can you tell me what app you use to make a folder look like a normal icon?
Edit: Nevermind I just figured you can do that in Nova Launcher -

That's probably because Dashclock needs Android 4.2.2, and the stock Sony firmware is on 4.1 I believe

Thanks, for this relevant answer, will wait until Sony update its rom to 4.2.2,
Stock Sony XPERIA Launcher (I haven't tried the DoCoMo launcher), panels 1 to 5.
Panel 1 is at the extreme end for stuff I don't pay attention to so much, i.e. Socialife.
Panel 2 is a blank panel, so that I can just enjoy the wallpaper, or, well, when I want a blank panel.
Panel 3, central home panel, has the information I generally look for, plus the most commonly accessed shortcuts/a music player widget.
Panel 4, extended weather info only, with time.
Panel 5, full-size music player.
This sort of layout has been sort of traditional for me, and I use some variation of it on all my Android devices.
I use a combination of Minimalistic Text, Sony's stock widgets and Poweramp, while weather is provided by 1Weather's widget.
I'm not too fancy or anything though I suppose I ought to spend time properly doing something unusual and nice, given the XPERIA is hardly a usual tablet.
Wallpaper is via the Music Visualizer app, with a self-edited image for an idle wallpaper. It'll change to visualizer bars when sound plays above a certain volume threshold (i.e. the sound of system clicks doesn't trigger it).
I have PowerToggles on the system bar and Realtime Task Manager on the Small Apps shortcut. I'm honestly a fan of the single-system bar layout. I absolutely abhor the idea of having two on-screen bars consuming screen space.
I might replace the Socialife widgets with Flipboard's or something, because they constantly blank themselves needing a refresh, and sometimes it just seems that they're sluggish.
I love magancete's look, it's very unique!
Just get it today & current look for my Sony Xperia Tablet Z.

Hello everyone!
So according to the KitKat changelog presented by Sony at their oficial blog for our M2 and quoting:
"If you’ve got a Sony PlayStation 4, you might recognize our new user interface – we’ve added the same sleek launch animation and live wallpaper across the lock and home screens"
So my question is where is it really? Because my friend owns an Xperia Z, and the changelog says EXACTLY the same, and it does in fact have the live wallpaper that changes color and all that. Another friend of mine owns the T2, and it does have this same wallpaper and lockscreen. Either Sony just "bull****ted" us all, or I am really dumb and I can't find it.
Give me your feedbacks and your answers. Thanks
well here is a small port of the android L launcher to 4.2 +
will soon be implementing it into my custom launcher, hence thought i should post the raw version here
Enjoy people
p.s it has my custom signature on it at the moment, so i doubt it will replace the previous launcher, so you should remove that first

Awesome!!!
google is so confusing.
I thought they stopped developing the launcher (Launcher3) open source and and only have google now (former google experience) launcher?
So does this mean Launcher3 is still in AOSP source after all, with material design??
would be happy if someone could clear this up...
Will you make for 4.1 ?
If this is the wrong subforum I apologize, but in the past devices I've had there was always a post your home screen thread. It always generated a lot of discussion in the forum over all and it gave users more insight on how to customize and fine tune the devices to your liking. Perhaps you see a theme or widget you like? Perhaps you like that music app you've spotted on someone else's home screen? Post and discuss here! I'll start off.

That's slick! I'm going to look into that circle bar. Nova prime is getting too stale for me.

Hello everyone,
As I pointed out at the screenshot, the widget which is belong to MIUI ROM, I just want similar widget on pure aosp roms. For example on LineageOS or Resurrection Remix Rom. Is it possible to get same or similar widget without any 3rd party app? If it just requires root, I can do it just by instructions.
