My candidates are:

Hi Guys,
Need your advice, my orginal Note is having issues amd I think its time to let it go.
but I am confused abt the replacement device.
I prefer to stick with Android due to customizations and flexibility it offers.
Nexus 5 :
Pros:
Price = 400 USD
GOOGLE device so updates always available
Cons:
Non removable Battery.
No expandabable memory
Screen small as compared to Note 3.
Samsung Note 3:
Pros:
Better Camera
Big screen size
S Pen and Suite
Removable Battery.
Expandabable memory
Cons:
Double the Price of nexus 5 : USD 800
and after the issues I had with Original Note, I am sort of scared of Note 3.
Android updates always delayed
I suggest the Nexus 5.
"Size isnt everything."
I suggest Note 3, S-Pen, bigger screen...

They're both good, but in my opinion The note 3 is a bit overpriced like all Samsung phones.
The nexus 5 is a all days phone, good specs and Cheap for a nowadays phone (E.G Iphone 5S ~$800 Samsung GS4 ~$600 LG G2 ~$600)
The note 3 is a little bit overpriced in my opinion though since the specs are not that better than the nexus 5, The only thing that it has is Expandable memory and Better camera.
No competition.. go for the nexus 5..the screen is brilliant.. awesome gaming performance.. and yes.. you will have both official and unofficial ROM support for the next 3 years atleast.
Note 3, because it's a more common and premium device, you would get a lot of options on custom roms compared to nexus 5..
Though, I would say nexus is a great phone too. And the Roms availability is not bad for nexus !
Ofcourse, Nexus.. brilliant performance.. brilliant screen..
You will not have to wait for updates.. for so long & almost half price of note 3..

This is obviously not true, The nexus series has got much more option on C-Roms than the Note 3, since the Nexus Has always the first android , That means the Source code of the nexus 5 becomes earlier available than the Note 3 Code, Which means that the Developers has more time to create a Rom.
Even when you compare the Development Section of the Nexus 5 and the note 3, The nexus 5 has lot more Roms
note 3
I prefer note 3,,,,,,
Im in the same boat.
Gs3 is flakin out on me so im gonna upgrade. I just bought the note 8 about a month ago on the next plan. Having serious buyers remorse now because I would have picked up the Note 3. Im on the fence on either the nexus 5 or the note 3. I love the note 8, being an artist its a great tool but I like the idea of saving the money choosing the nexus . Im also considering the Moto G for price and using it as a phone and using my note 8 as a tab.
Any thoughts?
Hello folks,
In 3 weeks i am able extend my phone contract and i will receive a brand new phone with it.
Now i am in a huge dilemma because i can't choose between some phones. I've listed them below and i know they all have pro's and con's.
I am a huge fan of flashing custom ROMs, taking and editing some pictures and videos every now and then, playing games like GTA 5, Hearthstone etc. streaming movies to my Chromecast on my current device which is an HTC One m7.
Personally i am strongly leaning towards the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, but my question is; which of the phones below would you choose and why?
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
LG G4
ASUS Zenfone 2
Oppo R7
ELEPHONE P7000
Huawei P8

I got the chance to play around with the GALAXY S6 Edge personally and I think it was a fabulous phone
I have the Note 4, but if I didn't have a phone i'd go for the S6 edge.
Despite the curved screen I was able to hold it in my hands very comfortably, and the edges sort of brought a "wide" viewing experience. (Not to mention it just feels very unique as if you are not limited by 4 bezel edges).
The speed, sounds, and elements of the phone felt great too
The only down side (coming as a Samsung user) for me is the non removable back which was traded in favor of very high quality build material (Glass and aluminum).
I highly recommend it.
I am unsure of other phones.
Hi All,
I've had my Idol 3 for about a year and I'm thinking of upgrading in about 6 mos. to a year. After my so-so experience with the Idol 3 (lag and stutter issues were present right up to last week's Marshmallow Update and the build quality is er... Interesting...) the Idol 4 & 4S are off the table. Honestly, I would want something with a Qualcomm 800-series 64-bit SOC (808, 810, 820, etc.) with at least 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
I am a fan of the Idol 3's form factor and would be looking to stay in 5.5in-5.7in screen size (Phablet, if you prefer the term) with a 1080p or 1440p screen and I'm curious about switching to AMOLED (I've only had IPS LCD up to this point). I heard some good things, but frankly, I'm not a Samsung Galaxy fan (not to mention Samsungs are a little too expensive for my taste) so the S7 Edge, Note5, and S6 Edge+ aren't really viable options either.
I'm looking for a stock or stock-ish (Cyanogen or OxygenOS for example) build of Android. Rootability, solid development community, and OEM support are a must. It would be great (but not necessary) if there was also an official Android N Update as well. Hardware options should include a good Camera, Fingerprint Scanner, and NFC (optionally, SD card support and/or Front Facing Stereo speakers).
I'm looking to spend about $400-$600 and would like to get a phone 6 mos. to a year old by the time of purchase (gives early bugs time to be worked out). My current selections are Nexus 6P, Oneplus 3, and Moto X Pure Edition.
Thoughts?

Hi all, sorry if this isn't in the relevant section as I couldn't find one for the original Pixel XL that I have.
My question is, my phone is now stuck at Android 10 and showing signs of battery loss and low internet connectivity, Iv'e been a Google phone stalwart since the original Samsung Galaxy, LG Nexus etc but now need to upgrade.
I don't want to buy a lesser model than the new 6 which is due for release this year but not too fussed about 5g so what are my best options? Pixel 4 / 4a / 5?
Thanks for any replies.

I don't get the question. you want no less than a Pixel 6, but you're asking which to get the 4, 4a, or 5? They're all lesser than the pixel 6. I'd go for the pixel 4a 5g though (different generation than the 4a). It's like the the pixel 5 with a little bigger screen and a headphone jack. The upshot is that the retail price is $200 less. I got one for $220 after trading in my pixel 2xl.
Thanks for the reply and yeah sorry, I worded that wrong. I meant, I won't be opting for the 6 at this time due to costs. I see the 4a 5g to be a good option but unsure about the lack of 5g coverage in my area. Would it be worthwhile? I think I know the answer to my own question really! Google Pixel 4a 5g.
I've ordered the Google Pixel 4a 5g. Thanks.
