Hello Team,
I got my OnePlus One Chinese flashed with Cyanogenmod 11 built ( not 11s ) , it was working just fine and then went to update section and installed the latest cyanogenmod 11 ( cm-11-20140805-SNAPSHOT-M9-bacon.zip ) build , and after which DoubleTap to wake / sleep doesnt work.
Any idea to what might be the issue and how to get it back working ?
Thanks
Faisal

I would look into flashing a custom kernel that support doubletap to wake.
Sent from a tablet thingy
double tap to wake is built into the rom / kernel.
double tap to sleep is often double tap status bar twice. depending what rom you're using.
You have to double tap right below the ear speaker at the top for it to sleep. I tried other placed on the screen and it doesn't work. I'm stock rooted CM11s.

You were right zephiK , I had the cm11 running Android 4.4.2 initally and it was built in the ROM and it worked , after updating it ot 4.4.4 they removed it

Should still work on cm 11. You need to activate them if they aren't default on.

It's in the gestures. The same place you'd see camera and music gestures. Also make sure your proximity sensor isn't covered. The newer version uses the proximity sensor to make sure that your phone doesn't do gestures when your phone is in your pocket.

It is not in the 'gestures'.
There are only three options within that category - torch, music, camera.
You may find what you are looking for under Settings > Display & Lights, then scroll down for "Advance Settings".

But yeah, I use a custom ROM so its not in the same place as they've re-organized the settings around but I for sure remembered the setting being somewhere around there.
Its somewhat close, ultimately its up to the user to find the settings anyway. I just remembered it being present but I can't nicely point out where it is since its moved around.
Hi,
I know it's kind of still early in the game, but anyone knows if any Lollipop support navigation ring yet? That's probably the most important custom feature for me....
Thanks!

I know I'm kind of late - but are there any news regarding this? I can find plenty of ROMs with a 3-way customizable navigation ring, but not only does that lack 7 possible shortcuts as compared to KK, it also reacts much slower and is not available on lock screen. Does anybody know?

I don't think anybody is going to attempt placing 7 shortcuts in the Navigation Ring on Lollipop.
The lockscreen in Lollipop was completely replaced and would require a lot of modification to get the Navigation Ring to work on it (and would conflict with the upwards swipe to unlock).

Yeah I guessed that, although I'd prefer to have the navigation ring instead of the Lollipop default.
Either way, that shouldn't hinder the navigation ring in unlocked mode, right?

There were also other changes to the navigation ring, mostly to do with animations and visuals. Getting more than 3 to fit/work would also be a pain.

That's unfortunate. In my perception the new behaviour is slower and less handy than before, so if I'd have to live with that it would be quite upsetting. Thanks for the info and I'll keep my hopes up.

If you ignore the animation and swipe by feel, it works exactly the same speed-wise compared to KitKat. The visual animation makes it look slower when it really is the same.

Unfortunately that's not true for me. I tried using it exactly as before but my phone just doesn't react, I have to wait almost a second for the animation to start before it reacts to my swiping in that reaction - otherwise it just goes unnoticed. what rom are you using?

the tricks is not turning off the screen completely like a lock, the screen is still on when you double tap it, just it is not very visible.
after you double tap, you still can scroll or tap the screen and the nav bar will shown.
I believe because of touch sensor build in lcd, & the can't separately powered.

There is a simple way to turn off the screen with double tap. But there is no way to turn on the screen with double tap.
Here is an app that allows you to hold your back button to kill the currently open application.
If popularity is high enough, I will update it with things like whitelist etc.
If you use a Samsung device, the only problem is that you can't show the MultiWindow bar anymore. I will work on a fix for it. I only made this because xposed doesn't work on Samsung Lollipop yet so this is what I wanted until it is. Once it works, I prolly won't ever touch this app again.
Thanks everyone!
UPDATE:
- Performance improvement
useful, thanks for this!!!!
Great job! I've been missing this feature since I switched to Lollipop. Thanks!

Hello, CM12 with standard navbar (3 buttons) doesn't have that setting. It s only implmented in roms with navbars with extra settings like opening an app etc etc
Having Trouble
I'm having a similar problem where even a single tap on the back button is closing the app. I have a rooted Galaxy S4 running Android 4.4

So this is happening when using the navbar and not the physical buttons?
It seems like the up action isn't being triggered. I could try to implement maybe a double click back to kill option. Ill try to debug on my 5.0 emulator that uses the navbar and see if i can figure anything out. Weird how that's happening.

Hm, I truly don't know then. I really would need the device in hand to test with. I could try to do testing by sending you a file with loads of debug information in it. Would you mind that?

I was just an idiot that assumed the activation time was in units of seconds, not milliseconds. This may be what most people are having trouble with. It works well now, so thank you and keep up the good work.

Hi guys.
My keyboard has been pushed upward after Android 10 update and it's irritating the hell out of me. Same no matter using Google or SwiftKey. Already tried changing the preferences and layouts of the keyboard but this is the lowest I can go. Is there a setting I can change? Thanks in advance

Facing the same issue
I downgraded to Android 9.0 solely because of this.
It's in design. The idea is to place it in the same space as if there were navigation keys. Actually I like it a lot myself, when I used the gestures in android 9 I kept missing keys because the keyboard wasn't in the place I was used to (but that's just me)

Was there anything else dissatisfying in Android 10? I'm currently considering to update & desperately want to hear/read other people's opinions on the matter.
Same issue here, but actually I think I like it, at least in portrait mode, since these phone keep getting taller an taller, the new position for the keyboard with this "invisible" bar it's actually more comfortable, doesn't look that good but meh, in the other hand, it is hell of an issue in landscape mode!

If it's that annoying, you could try the google gboard floating keyboard app, then you can move it around to wherever you want it to be.

It does not work like that. The gap is not usable. Not way to put anything on top of this part of the screen. Just wanted to inform you that it is not possible to make the keyboard float there
The gap is totally a waste. I used to type anytime by swiping and then clicking the enter key, which would be just in the bottom right corner of the device, so i didn't need to actually look at the keyboard while typing. I could just feel the corner of the screen and then my hand would automatically tap on the enter, but now no longer. There's just a useless, ugly black border there.
Also, in Google Chrome, you type something in the address bar, but accidently touch that black bar, it closes the keyboard and everything you typed just get cleared.
The struggle is real my dude. I found an adb command to correct the issue. It works fine until I notice it changes the height of the screen and stretches it out. Now there are buttons I cannot see because they are off the screen. If they don't make this "feature" optional, I might have to just decide to deal with the gap. Other than that, I like android 10.
This gap annoying me too
The gap is one of those reasons why I don't update to Android 10! ?

I think if the keyboard will be more near the bottom, the keys on the outside will be rounded, which makes them smaller
For me it fixed after changing gestures settings to 3-button type
yes, but we don't want to use on screen buttons, but gestures..
