This has been patched as of v131 and on. Internal menu can still be brought up. However, attempting to change params in mobile config throws an error. You need an employee or tester login. None of the mobile config settings will be listed.
Edit:
If you have automatic updates like I do (preference), uncheck Messenger. Downgrade to a version from July. You can get one from APK Mirror.
Facebook pushed a server side script that now displays a permanent upgrade notification on the top of the messages list. This targets clients using versions all the way down to 124.0
I downgraded one by one to each version (excl beta!) found on APK Mirror. Right now, v123 and below does not have this problem. You still get all the other features and the internal menu.

Are you addicted to facebook? are you in a comment war on a status? do you just always want your notifications right as they happen? then this is the thread for you.
This "hack" will allow you to enable more syncing options from within the app itself after a simple modification. what we will essentially be doing is tricking the Facebook app into thinking we are Facebook employees, thus enabling more options.
Items Needed:
1. ROOTED Android Phone with the Facebook App Installed
2. an SQLite Editor off the market (there are some free alternatives, though i suggest the paid version of SQLite Editor)
3. Some knowledge
4. A File Manager such as Root Explorer is also another route to go about this, but we won't use that method in this tutorial unless it is requested in the replies.
Procedure
1. Open SQLite Manager and grant it root
2. let it scan all the folders and databases
3. once it has finished scanning, scroll down to the Facebook App and tap it. this will load the databases the facebook app uses
4. select fb.db
5. you will now see several fields, select "key_value"
6. this is where the mods will take place. first locate the "seen_employee" key, and scroll to the right
7. long-press the value "false" until the menu pops up
8. select edit field
9. delete "false" and type in "true"
10. press save
11. repeat for the "is_employee" field
12. exit SQLite Editor
13. Open the facebook app
14. press back, then menu, and select settings.
15. tap refresh interval and now if you scroll to the bottom you can see the option for "every minute (beta only)"
16. select it, and you are all done!
This also unlocks the options for sandboxing and ssl checks, and i suggest you change neither of those
if this helped, please, press thanks!
I tried following the Windows Phone guide, but that didn't work. I'm going nuts over this
This works for Windows 8
(Preform form a desktop\Laptop)
Someone posted a working solution on Microsoft Answers:
Download User Agent Switcher from the Chrome Webstore
Select an iOS device
Go to http://m.google.com/sync
Deactivate Javascript in Settings (Show advanced settings, Content settings)
Click your Windows Mail device
In the URL change supportMultipleCalendars=false to supportMultipleCalendars=true
Submit URL (Press Enter)
Save
Readd your Google Account to your Windows Calendar app. It now works.
This didn't work me. I had to just export the calendar from Google and then import it via my email account on outlook.com.

This has worked well for me. You must do this from another device of course.
the google sync site should work for all, you just need a UA change to a mobile device (or a mobile device) to get to the site so you can change which calendars sync
I dont get any advanced settings option when I open the mobile site with iOS, I only have; Enable "Send Mail As" for this device.
Enable "Delete Email As Trash" for this device.
Help?

You need to change the URL to set "supportMultipleCalendars=true" and reload the page with that parameter. You need to disable Javascript because the Javascript controls keep you from selecting multiple calendars. Turning off that check lets you select all of the calendars. Don't know why there's that restriction as it's pretty clearly an artificial one, but the steps above work when you follow all of them.

I had this problem too and the only way I got around it was by unsubscribing from some of the calendars I had on Google and refreshing the page. Then just resubscribing. I don't know why that worked but it did.

Worked great for me too. Thank you for posting this.
Facebook Home
You might have heard about Facebook’s new app, Facebook Home, that replaces the home screen on your Android device. This new app launched on April 12th in the Google Play store but is only currently available for a handful of devices. Thanks to some impatient developers, that exclusivity didn’t last long. You can now download and install on the Facebook Home app on any Android device. Here’s how.
I. Install the New Facebook APKs
1. Uninstall your current Facebook app and Facebook Messenger and Facebook Home if you already tried to install it and failed. (You can do this by going to Settings > Apps > find the apps and uninstall them one by one).
2. Download the three APK files from the links below and save them to your desktop.
Facebook Home (Updated 04.16.13)
Facebook Messenger (Updated 04.16.13)
Facebook App (Updated 04.16.13)
3. Plug your Android device in via USB cable.
4. Copy the three APK files over to the storage of your device.
5. Unplug the device.
6. Open any file browser on your Android device and locate the APK files. (If you don’t have a file browser, head to the Google Play store on your device and search for Astro File Browser and install that, then use that to locate the APK files).
7. Click each of the APK files to install them, one by one. To avoid issues, install the Facebook App first, open it and login. Then install the Messenger app, open it and login. Then, finally, install the Facebook Home app, open it, and login.
8. Once they are all installed, hit the home button and when asked which app to use select the Facebook home application (you can check the box to make it the default if you decide you want to keep it for now).
9. Enjoy exploring the new launcher and apps. To uninstall, simply go to Settings > Apps > Select them Facebook apps and hit uninstall on each of them, one by one.
If you have any issues and have a custom recovery (or a stock recovery that has these options) head to recovery and wipe cache/wipe dalvik cache and reboot.
No way I'll install it. 500 000+ users will disagree with me
1. Download the com.coremobility.app.vnotes-1.apk posted by ssmercurys here.
2. Move the apk to your /system/apps folder
This folder is normally mounted read-only. There are several ways to get around this obstacle. For me, the easiest was to install ES File Explorer from the Play Store.
Then in ES File Explorer:
Select menu -> Tools and turn on the Root Explorer switch
Now, tap on Root Explorer and a pop up window will appear.
Select mount R/W for both root and system
Copy com.coremobility.app.vnotes-1.apk to /system/apps
3. Reboot your phone
4. Provision your voicemail with the Sprint network
Open the people app
Create a new contact called Activate Voicemail with this email address: [email protected]
(note that is v - v - m, not w-m!)
Open the voicemail app
Click the plus sign / add contact button.
Add the contact you just created
Click Record for +- 10 seconds
Click stop recording.
Now click send at the bottom of the screen.
You should now get a text back from short code 9016 saying "Provisioning successful"
This should thoretically work with any Sprint MVNO. I use Red Pocket Mobile, for instance. I will update here if I encounter any bugs over the next few days.
Hi,
I just received my work phone and I'm using dual sim.
Now I've always seen app twin function on my previous P10. But now I'm trying to use the whatsapp app twin. When I go into settings and enable the whatsapp app twin, it'll create the app.. but when I open the app it instantly uses my private whatsapp information. So both apps open up the same whatsapp account.
Is there something I have to do first or is it not yet optimized for EMUI 8.1?
thank you.
Same here
The problem persists under EMUI Version 9.1.0
Here the process to reproduce the issue:
1. Install WhatsApp
2. Go to settings | Apps | App Twin | turn on the switch to create a "work profile copy" of the "WhatsApp"
3. Go to app drawer and find the WhatsApp icon with the little "work profile" extra icon attached
4. Open that "work profile" WhatsApp
5. The WhatsApp welcome dialogue appears (like when first time starting WA after installation)
6. Enter your account data and verify your phone number
7. WhatsApp asks for permission to "contacts" and "local storage" (work profile contacts should be empty, because I did not set up any account for the work profile)
8. grant access to "contacts" and "local storage"
9. Go on "new conversation" in WhatsApp and see, that there are all your contacts shown .... This is the problem!
An app started unter the work profile should be isolated from my "normal" profile (Google account). That is the idea behind using the work profile. But it is not working...
The app "Shelter" works for me (even thoug it claims, that it is not compatible with EMUI).
--> Google Play | search for "net.typeblog.shelter"
