Unfortunately, MX Player has stopped. ...Report - OK

Have L720 of Galaxy S4. MX player worked fine until I updated 2 newer version. 1.7.29. Now it won't even open! Uninstalled everything pertaining 2 MX & tried download & install with same results. :crying:

Would you send log after launching mx?
Use MX Log Collector (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.logcollector) to send log.

There is an app called MX Log Collector on Google Play Store.
See this link for more information: https://sites.google.com/site/mxvpen/faq#TOC-How-to-send-system-log-

You should be able to copy the log as a file from the phone to your computer. I don't remember where it saves the log.
However, when it asks to email the log, you can just email it to yourself so that you can download it and attach it here.

It looks like an Android internal bug.

No. Using Mahdi 2.7-jflte-20140621 from XDA developerUr previous version worked fine. Wat changed?

Your ROM is handling resource incorrectly. Maybe trying to optimize window layout.
This should not happen.

Have you updated the rom recently?
If it's so, it could have raised the issue.
Mx Player v1.7.28 can be downloaded here.

Just clear the data, Uninstall & do a fresh install. Check whether the old version is still working fine or not. If it's a rom issue it will lead to the same problem. If v1.7.28 also have the same problem, then contact your rom developer for fix.

Downloaded the 1.7.30 version. It installed & performed perfectly. Thank you!...:good:

(Bug) when opening I get some window to open or cancel

When the window appears and I choose open it takes me to Google play and directly to the app now if I choose cancel it closes app out.
I cannot take a log I am on carbon Rom latest version with elemental kernel on nexus 7 2013

If you can't get into the player you can use the seperate mx log collector application to dump the log. With out proper log it's not possible to identify these kind of issues.

Are you using patched version?
In my knowledge there is no error before running mx log collector.
Please reinstall from playstore and try again.

Ok I just fixed it I decided to clear the data and cache and that window was gone thanks for the help ktsamy

And no I bought my pro version directly from the playstore

This is fault of 1.7.30 and will be fixed soon.
The mesage should be displayed is about license verification failure.

Apparently this bug has not been fixed yet? I purchased the MX Player Pro from the Playstore and keep getting the license failed message. ? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times as well as clearing data/cache. ? FIX please!
Edit: Yes I have the newest installed.

Are you installing from the apk?
Eventhough you have purchased from playstore, sometime It may happen when you side load the app.
Try to install from playstore itself.

I actually heard from the Developer of the App and they were able to help me. I would try doing the same.

Ye, -Synix- had a spare one and shared it with me.
There seems to be some kind of crash in the media library.

That's a great news ! Do you think you will make some more awesome work on the CM ROM ?

I am trying things for CM. But don't expect much.
Ye, it is a rom problem. But it doesn't seem to be my extra patches, mor a android 4.4.4 x86 fault.

The ROM works so well that I don't even know what you can improve. But it's good to know that you can, maybe, improve it further
