S7 Edge ATT - Help flashing to factory default - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Guides, News, & Discussion

Hey guys. Was trying to root my S7 Edge and ended up getting stuck in a boot loop. At this point I just want to get it back to the factory images as they gave me the unlock code for it so I can switch it to T-Mobile.
Anyone got a free few minutes to give me some help? I've rooted before, just seems the S7 is very tricky to do as I am finding just a TON of different things about it.

Can I do with my ATT S7?

I just got an S7 today, the SM-G930A from ATT. I had an upgrade available so I went for it and got rid of my old S4 Active. From what I've read so far it doesn't look like I can root my new phone right now but I wanted to ask just to make sure I'm not missing anything. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

No you cannot root it, because it's bootloader is locked down by Samsung. Even if you tried to install twrp on it, you would just brick your device.

S6/S7 Root clarification?

This may be a bonehead question but...
I've been reading some of the forums for a few days now and Im at my wits end with not being able to root my Verizon Galaxy S6 (SM-G920V) due to bootloader blockage. I am noticing that it is seemingly possible to root an S7 on Verizon though. How is this possible considering the same stipulations, and an S6 being the more outdated phone??
On the S6 i believe it's possible via CF-AutoRoot, however, mine (G920W8) got it's IMEI/EFS lost and corrupted by the stock recovery it flashes back so not really recommend using it.
Protip: don't get Verizon Locked devices if you are willing to Root

Galaxy S6 foolishly did a factory reset.

I'm feeling like an idiot at the moment. I acquired an S8 today and was planning on giving my old optus acquired S6 to a friend. Not properly following any guides I managed to do a factory reset on my device. Only now it seems to be stuck on the Samsung boot up logo. Not sure what to do from here. Original plan was to root it and have a clean slate.
Any guidance or help would be more than appreciated.
Disregard this.
I managed to get my phone into a download screen and acquire new firmware which I installed via Odin3. Phone is now functioning again, minus all the forced software from my original carrier. Feeling good, even though I probably just lucked out.
Thanks anyway.

Sprint S7 with 7.0

Ok so today I went to boost. I bought an S7 with 7.0 on it,
What ways would I go about rooting this, upgrading to OREO and etc. The security patch is also from November 2017.
The reason I'm asking and not just jumping right to it are
1)I know if I update at all there is no root with Sprint.
2)I'm not sure if I'm on a version low enough to unlock the bootloader if I need it.
3)I'm open to unlocking the boot and flashing a 8.0 rom if possible.
Any guides would be greatly appreciated
