Mate 9 showing black screen after a factory reset - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

I know this question has been asked before. But as it has been a while, I just wanted to know if there is any solutions for the problem. Will sending it to an authorised service centre help? What are the choices I have got?

Redo Factory reset via recovery.
To launch recovery, just hold volume up key during starting up the phone.
Then press factory reset.

You are not gonna believe it! It happened to me last night, I turned off the device and prayed (don't laugh! I'm serious). Now I turned it on in the morning and works just fine. You don't know how happy I am.

Is there a way from C675B820 (Indian) to C432B820 (European)?

I have a European Honor 6 on which I installed C675B820 from here.
Is there a way to go back to C432B820? Every rollback-package I tried stopped at 5 or 36 % with "software install failed".
I need help.
i hope we find a solution to our problem i hope that any one of the moderators could help us
There is a recoverymode who works with HiSuite. Idk but maybe it recovers it to the last "right" version.
You have to start your honor 6 in fastboot mode (power + volume down) and open the hi-suite and then start recovery.
I don't know what will happen!
here is it for ascend mate 7

No boot to Fastboot Mode after flashing/restore

Hi,
I was on Android N and decided to go back to KangVip Slim trough my TWRP Backup. So i opened the Bootloader again and flashed TWRP. But restoring of my backup failed and i started to wipe and delete in TWRP different things. I think i erased to much...
The result is, that now i the phone is booting to Huawei Logo and stucked there. All button-combinatios don't work.
No stock recovery, no dload method and the worst thing...no bootloader mode (USB connected to PC). The phone just reboot to the Huawei Logo.
I opened the phone, remove the battery cable, put it back, but it's still the same. I also discharged the battery and charged again. Same result, it boots just to the Huawei logo.
Is there any thing i could try to bring back to life or is it hardbricked?
Thanks in advance for any idea..
AL10 or L29,L09 to you have?
With AL10 version is easy to go back.
Install Android N again in Twrp.
Install Stock Recovery.
Go Back with Hi Suite.
Your open your Phone to reboot?
Press Power Button 10 sec. to reboot after reboot press 3 sec. to boot in eRecovery and shot down the Phone.
After Power off press Volume Down and hold and put in the Usb Cable in the Phone.
After this boot in Bootloader.
Flash Twrp for android N and wipe Cache,Dalvik,Data and System. Then flash Android N in Twrp.
Hi,
i have a L29. No TWRP, no bootloader mode to flash anything.
What happens when you switch off, then Power on and Press so long Volume up until the erecovery starts?
This must work!
Nothing, just reboot to the Huawei logo. I think there is no e-recovery installed.

Let me add one more step. Connect your phone to the computer via usb cable then switch off your phone. Press and hold Vol up + Power. Release it when you see Huawei logo.
Hope this will enable you to enter eRecovery.
Good luck
I tried that, but no success..
I think the Mate 8 is the first phone that i have brick...
I have the same issue too. L29. No TWRP, no bootloader mode to flash anything. Hopefully someone can guide us through this
Good news..
After I put the phone aside a few days and the battery has completely discharged, I connected the phone with my PC and tried to get into the fastboot mode.
I tried this before, without success. I was shocked when I saw the bright screen! It was in fastboot mode. I did not expect that. I left it untouched until the battery was charged a little bit.
Then i started to flash the NXT-L29C432B560 Firmware. It wasn't possible to do it with the "dload" method, so installed twrp-3.0.3.img and flashed the firmware with TWRP. For help use: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/how-to-install-nxt-l29c185b560-official-t3556789.
And now it works fine, like never something happend.
So all of you with same problem: Give it a try.
Now i have two babies.. Mate 8 and Mate 9. I will keep both....:good:
HI i have my mate 8 in the same conditons that you used to! please help me im desperate it doesnt even get on fastboot mode. Please I would appreciate your help thanks

Had this problem with L09. I've been trying to fix it all the week long.
If you can access dload mode, follow this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/huawei-mate-8-downgrade-android-7-0-to-t3530999
If your phone is not NXT-L09, search for NXT-XXX (XXX= your phone model) rollback. It will surely work.

Make sure you have put the update.app in /sdcard/dload/ and that the firmware actually is offline enabled. Almost all firmware for Mate 9 are online only, so no dload. You have AL00C00B115 and a few others, but you need to rebrand if you're not on AL00, meaning you need to flash oeminfo in twrp.
You can check these out if you want:

I finally solved the problem by doing a HWOTA update as specified on this link. :good:

Rooting A Honor V8, Converting A Rom Made For A Honor 8, And Flashing It

Hello everyone
So what I want to do is :
Figure out how to root my honor V8 (I would have posted this in the Honor V8 forum, but it doesn't, and the honor 8 is pretty similar)
Convert this rom from honor 8 to honor V8 (probably using this guide)
Flash the converted rom to my honor V8 (this should be pretty easy if I managed the previous steps)
So to root my honor V8 I managed to unlock the bootloader and that's it. I tried to flash the TWRP Recovery but when I try to go into the recovery I either end up on the eRecovery or on a screen where I get "your device is booting now..." forever.
What should I do to fix this ? Is my project feasible ?
I had that problem too... of not booting into twrp. It kinda depends on the twrp... some works better than others. But anyway, you can try flashing twrp and unplug from computer when flash is successful... and hold power + volume up, release power button when phone vibrates and then release volume + after screen lights up.
Hope it helps ☺

It still gives me the same issue. I think the problem is coming from the twrp, so I'll look into compiling twrp myself with this.

MT7-TL10 hard bricked... no fb, no recovery

Hey guys,
it's my first post so please bear with me
I wanted to revert my old Mate 7 TL10 to stock (from Lollipop and TWRP) and downloaded a Lollipop stock firmware. I have done the flashing many times ago, but since this is my old phone and I haven't used it in a while and I somehow believed it was the TL09 (pretty dumb idea) , I downloaded the firmware for TL09 not the TL10. After extracting the boot, system, recovery and cust IMG files, I flashed them via fastboot.
The phone is stuck at huawei logo. None of the button combinations work. After turning off, it turns on again. What I already tried:
-VOL_UP & POWER -> does nothing
-VOL_DN & POWER -> does nothing
-BOTH VOL & POWER -> does nothing
I held the buttons even vor 20s, phone goes not beyond huawei logo. Even with disconnecting the battery to fully power off, the combinations have no effect. The phone is, of course, not beeing recognized by Windows. I didn't try the SD card rescue method, but since I can't enter rescue mode, it won't work I guess. I've read about a method by flashing using testponints but from what I understand, there is no such option with the TL10 right?
Is there anything I can do? Flashing via JTAG or whatever?
Thank you in advance
