Lately, the theme application just sits on "Updating..." and never fills in. Is this happening to anyone else or is it just me? I'm not sure if I need to reset something or if HTC is having some kind of server issues?
Thanks,
Craig
sometimes you have to use VPN to get the theme app working

Hi.
I use an HTC Desire on Android 2.2.
I searched for this but didn't find posts for this. Do you know a method to avoid that certain apps are being autokilled by Android itself? Or are the android apps just programed bad when they get autokilled although they should still "serve" like instand messengers.
I tried the Palringo messenger but it got autokilled sometimes.
I use Nimbuzz which can have an icon in the notification bar all the time but sometimes it logs in again when I switch to it which might indicated that it got disconnected while running.
Perhaps it will be better after an update.
I would also appreciate a solution for this problem if anyone knows one.
Any news/info on this? Developers, when you make a custom rom and change the launcher, how do you set it up so that it never gets killed by Android?
I've installed RoyalGinger2.1 on my MT4G, so far everything seems to be working fine except in my text messages I cant download any pics being sent to me! I don't know if there is a compatibilty issue, or maybe theres a setting i've missed. There anyone that can help me with this?
Hi Guys,
I am now using MIUIV2 final and it works really well, however, since this rom I have app/OS that are downloading a lot of data. (around 98mg a day)
Since I only have a 200meg plans, I do not want anything to download in the background and I didn't had this problem on kalh GalaxyXTV4.
Is anyone knows an app that can tell me what is downloading that much or is there an issue with this ROM?
Thanks

Have you tried 3g watchdog?
you can use a sort of firewall, droid wall for exemple, you choose wich app can access 3g and wifi.
Thanks for your suggestions.
I have tried 3g Watchdog but it only log the total 3g connection and in the last two days it seems like my phone is back to normal. No more big download while on sleep.
Not sure what happened, is it possible that the google "Backup" utility built in the phone, might have downloaded something ? I have disabled it and it is now seem more "normal" under 3G.
I will also try droid wall to have a better control over the apps on the phone
Thanks again.
Hey Guys,
I've been having trouble downloading multimedia messages on my phone. It just sits "downloading" and does nothing. I have one right now that is all of 1kb in size but won't finish. Is this a known thing? I've had trouble with this for what feels like the start of having this phone. It might have something to do with group messaging as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm using the stock messaging app as well.

For me, that problem arises when I have mobile data turned off.
To fix it, turn data on. The file will download then you can turn data back off.
Seems like a hassle but it is the only thing that works for me.
I had the same problem when connected to my network extender. I switched to Verizon Messaging and it fixed the problem. The guy at the Verizon store told me their app can use wifi to send messages and I guess the Samsung app won't. He must be correct because I haven't had a problem since I switched.
So it's probably the stock samsung texting app? That blows if that's the case.
Anyone else having trouble with the ifttt app? Specifically the applet that turns my WiFi on when I get home and off when I leave the house

It's been playing up a little for me as well. hopefully an update will rectify it
Think it's 7.0 cause my S7 edge had no problems then it updated and that's when it started.
