If it was factory unlocked then even if you take the upgrade it will remain unlocked.

Updating Verizon Pixel on T-Mobile

Sorry, if it's been asked but I couldn't find an answer.
I have Verizon Pixel working on TMobile. bootloader is unlocked, phone is rooted and has TWRP installed. It is also updated to 7.1.1 via OTA. It currently has NMF26O firmware.
How do I update to NMF26Q? I get nothing via software check on the phone probably because it's rooted or on T-Mobile network.
Thanks for the help.
You can download it from:
https://developers.google.com/android/ota
And update using adb sideload

I would wait till Tuesday when the January update comes out. Only have to do it once. And the update is for overseas. Don't need it for T Mobile.
Why do you want NMF26Q? If you are not on O2 or China Unicom there's nothing there for you.
I have the Verizon pixel on Verizon and I personally would not install it, I did and I was having freezing and rebooting issues with a clean install. Plus like everyone else is saying, the newest security update will be
Thank you all.
I would wait for the January update, too.
FWIW, I fastboot flash-all updated to 26Q the day it came out. Works fine here....
Is it possible to flash June update NGK47L for TMobile on NH 47TH verizon

Unlocked S8+ Update

Today I have received an update for my S8+ running unlocked firmware on my Verizon phone. If I update will I still remain on the unlocked firmware? I ask because at the bottom of the changelog it says SM-G955U1/VZW. or would I have to Odin it??
That's probably referring to the fact that your SIM has been provisioned for VZW. It will not change you to VZW firmware.

100% safe, I have the Verizon version with the unlocked firmware flashed and have had zero issues.

Did you update to the recent firmware update? Last thing I want is to update and be without a phone for 9 hours while I'm at work and have to Odin all over again.
I did a regular OTA update, with the U1 firmware installed. Everything went through as it should.

If you have the U1 variant with unlocked bootloader, you can download latest firmware for your device e.g. with Frija and flash it with Odin.
If you have the U variant with locked bootloader, then you have to wait for Verizon to provide the OTA updates.
i upgraded my galaxy s10e (exynos) to one ui 3.1 and it's showing a lot of lag, and the camera takes time to open and take a picture. (Can anyone help me with this) ? is its performance normal with the one ui 3.1?
reboot in recovery mode (phone needs to be connected with computer by USB), wipe cache followed by repair apps.

To receive OTA updates (from Verizon), you have to stay on original Verizon firmware.
If you are sure that there is already an update available from Verizon, and you do not get it over the air, then contact Verizon support.
Flashing a firmware of another device model into your phone may brick it and you will lose any warranty and support.

1. The U1 model does NOT have an unlocked bootloader.
2. You can manually upgrade either model via the exact same process: download firmware via Frija or wherever and flash in Odin. Waiting for OTA is *never* required
