To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Honor 9 can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
fast charging works fine, gets from 10-40% in just 30mnts
Was on classic micro-USB with a Note 3 before... it's a whole new world now, I don't have to charge it every night, but just wait less than an hour in the morning to be fully charged.
and my times-
19:01-14%
19:19-31%
19:50-58%
20:20-77%
20:35-87%
21:00-100% = 86% for 2hours
My Honor9 charging is litlle bit slow then others and I dont know why?! :/
It looks similar to honor 8 when it comes to charging speed
My honor 9 takes about 1 hour to get from 3% to 37% with original charger. And the phone was off while charging. Took about 3 hours for 100%. Not even close to promised charging times.

I bought it on amazon, so I have to send it to huawei for testing purposes and wait weeks to get it back... There is IFA in Berlin in some weeks, I'll just ask somebody from huawei booth to test another charger first.

Very similar charging times with honor 8.
what is the maximum amp the honor 9 can receive? the p10 support huawei supercharge (5A), does honor 9 support it too?

unfortunately only 2A maximum, just like honor 8. with huawei supercharge you could charge the phone at 5A. but then, as long as it can fully charge the battery within 90 minutes, thats considered fast charge for me.

I'm keeping my eye out for an external battery case. I purchased this phone because of my pure HATE of my LG G4. But, I will need a spare battery and this will be the best way to get it. If anyone sees one, will you post a link? :good:
Anyone see one of these cases yet?
I've been looking. I've asked ZeroLemon if they were making one but they didn't get back to me yet.

It's not the size that counts, it's how long it can last.
Have you thought about a small Quickcharge 2.0 external charger? There are some pretty small ones that you can keep around and get a quick charge when you need it and not have the extra bulk all the time.
I know not the most ideal situation, but may be the best alternative for now...

My Anker QC2.0 charger acted funny on the 2015, 2015 is using something different. So much so that I gave it away when I sold my 2014. You want the official Motorola Turbo Charge adapter on the 2015. The new Marshmallow 6.0 update should help with battery life though.

I'd seriously consider buying an external battery case. I wouldn't use it all the time, but I know there's days where I'll go through very heavy use away from a charger. I don't like using battery packs when I can help it because they're awkward to hold while using the phone.
It would be nice if ZeroLemon makes one..
Just get a external battery with QC. 30 mins will get u 50%.
I need to invest in a quality external charger. I bought 2 12000 MAH from Amazon and my MXP killed them both. They were both rated for 2.1 amp charging but after 2 full cycles they both stop charging. Maybe I shouldn't have used a my Turbo charger to charge the external batteries... Either way, I've returned both and have been skeptical to buy any more.
I also notice that my SP3 will throw errors when I have my MXP plugged in. Basically states that my phone is pulling more power than the computer can supply.

We have a like a huge thread of QC external chargers already. Just go there.
I couldn't find an F1 thread about battery and SOT, so here it is.
You will agree that battery life is one of the most important functions nowadays, especially on a new phone like the F1. We know battery life and SOT depends on what type of apps & your personal usage, but it is still good to have a benchmark for your own battery life to compare against, so we can see what more we can get out of our F1.
Please show us your battery life, SOT and any tips, tricks you found, and any suggestions for best settings, what to do and to avoid, to maximize your battery life.
If possible , please use a battery monitor and try to post a screenshot.
Hopefully we can all benefit from this discussion.
Tks!!
For those who are not aware already, Better Battery Stats app is a great app to use for detailed battery data. Its available from the PlayStore for a price....but here is the free version for XDA users. If you think its a great app and want to support the dev then you can buy the paid version on Playstore. Download the app to your F1 for free from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 and you can use it to post screenshots of your SOT/battery stats etc.
Note- I found charging my F1 with the Qualcomm Aukey Charger is "almost" twice as fast compared with charging with the original F1's factory OPPO charger. (I dont work for Aukey, just sharing tip for those who want much faster charging on their F1).
Charge with a 2A charger, this phone will be charged twice faster. But be carefull dont use cheap non brand charger. You will ruin your phone.
Hi there! I have a Oppo F1 (f1f model) since a week and coming from an HTC One S.
This device battery life is better than my previous one. I can stand one full day of moderate usage with GPS, gaming, music, 4G all the time and Wi-Fi half the time. On what I consider heavy usage, this device doesn't last one full day and need to be recharged. I'll try to get BetterBatteryStats captures in a few days.
I've had the F1 for about a month. I use it heavily for browsing social media etc. Not much SMS or phone calls, mostly FB messenger, some youtube and spotify. Battery lasts all day.
only thing I hate regarding the battery is the constant "abnormal app consumption" notifications. -its not abnormal, im using the damn app, of course its going to use power you stupid OS.
The GPS is not as accurate as im used to with more expensive phones but the upside is ive never had the device overheat whilst using GPS & spotify whilst plugged in to car power and sitting in the direct sun during driving.
The camera is pretty good.
I am not a fan of ColorOS. its full of junk and i hope i can get rid of it one day. Other than that, the phone itself is pretty capable for AUD$200 its a bargain.
hope this helps, cheers AL
Im getting approx 5 hours SOT with moderate usage not gaming, in comparion with the same usage my LG G3 was getting 3hour 40min SOT

Did u install 'Ampere' app from playstore? If yes, can you give a screenshoot from the app while charging?
Because, although i charge with 1 A, 2 A, or VOOC charger, the input just 450mAh. Whereas according Ampere app, Oppo F1 can take 1500mAh input while charging.

Color OS. Maybe, in more few weeks again many developers can bring kernel that unlock the high speed charging potential.
anyone tried colorOS vs Project SpectrumOS battery comparison?
Not a real comparison but clearly, Spectrum OS consumes more power. I'd say 20 % more. And Spectrum often tells me that Bluetooth or Wi-Fi is consuming all my power in the settings section on battery life. It still needs optimisations.

Aukey Qualcomm fast charger
Looks like the Galaxy s8 doesn't quick charge if your using it while its charging!
http://wccftech.com/galaxy-s8-fast-charge-display-off/
While using it I have noticed a message pop up warning about the battery discharging faster then it can charge. At first I thought it was a bad charger but I guess not. Only noticed the message when the phone is under heavy load like full brightness youtube UHD streaming or gaming. This might be why they claim longer life span for the battery. Hope they update it to at least give us the option to always quick charge.
Like lg's phone (had g2 and g5 ) it doesnt fast charge when the screen is on, I might be wrong but i think it's pretty much stantard to avoid overheating.

Qc fast charge 2.0 , 3.0 all raise the voltage that is going to the phone to increase the charging speed, but doing so also heat the battery , especially qc 3.0 . I remember my g5 getting really hot ( like hotter then anything i've manage with my s8 rn ) just by charging for 20 min with the screen off, normal usage already heat the phone so if they allowed fast charging while ppl play games and stuff the battery would definitely become way too hot and that would be unsafe ( note 7 i see you ) . Qc 2.0 don't heat the phones as much as 3.0 tho that's just samsung being reaaaally safe because of what stated above.
On the other hand the dash charge that op use only raise the amperage , so all the excess of heat stay in the charger that is working hard to give your phone less volt than qc 3.0 but at a faster speed resulting in the same charging speed, it maybe even be faster with the dash charge from what i've read. With that heat staying in the charger they allow fast charge with the screen on because it won't make the phone overheat beyond safety point .
Sorry if my english is meh it's not my main language tho ^^
Considering how this is a charging thread, I had to drop a weird concern. I got my phone on launch, and I usually charge my devices using the Anker Powercore; the phone charges fine, however, it stops at 84 percent, and doesn't go beyond that. Unplugging the cable, and plugging it back in fixes the issue..
I noticed the issue is only when charging through power bank.

It's saying fast charging but take a watch, with screen on wait 10 min and see how much % it get, then turn it off wait another 10, it will get almost twice of what you get with screen on. I had mine for one year so I'm pretty sure that they lower the voltage when the screen is on even tho they don't say it.

Wrong. They never said it would be qc3 or anything other than adaptive fast charge, which is their take on qc2.
Also this has been same for 3 years now, so fail to see the news here.
Some publications are rehashing same test year after year, then publishing it as though it's a new thing, just for clicks. Some are genuinely clueless. And yet others are making it seem as though samsung removed the feature (which was never there in a first place), due to fears of another note7 situation.

I bought a BLP745 for my 7T Pro from the same AliExpress store as you, my battery was also dated October 2022. I did the swap yesterday and last night was the first charge to 100%. So far two hours have passed since I unplugged and I'm at 97%. With my original battery, I would have been at around 85% by now. I'm using accubattery to see what the capacity of the new battery is, I'll report back in a week or so. I have yet to try warp charge also, never really used it previously to be honest. I usually just let my phone slow charge over night for the past three years.

I'm only getting 4.29V Max on a new battery, and it drops to ~4.26V as soon as I get it off the charger.
Is this normal?! on other devices I get about 4.4V, what could cause this be lower on the Ultra?

Its fine,
Chargers cant provide you "pure 5V"
It also depends on the phone itself.

Yea, but same chargers charge other phones I have @ ~4.4V.
Can you show me what is the voltage your Note20Ultra is getting?
also, what voltage a NEW battery should hold when on 100% ?

It caused because of battery discharge
Again, my question is:
When the Charger is *Connected* AND the battery is 95-100%
What Voltage (V) is your phone getting?
You can see that in a app like GSAM BATTERY . Thanks

ok, another question then, maybe you will know
After installing a new battery, what do I need to do to make the phone
know it's a new battery? (without factory reset)
Android still seems to think there's a used battery inside.
I dont know, only factory reset or problem with USB controller.

the best way to do that is reseting the phone, or you just can download the battery yo 0 then charge to 100% with the phone off

Tnx, I will try this.
BTW, Could this be a problem with the Charging chip of the phone? (going up to 4.29V only)
Has anyone heard of a problem like this in any Galaxy phone before?

the phone only support 25w charge so check the charger output power and the data cable, if the chrger or the cable are not original the charging speed will be lower

tried few chargers and cables. same top voltage of 4.29v in all of them. some less.
* phone should get 4.37-4.44v Charging voltage on top %.

that ok, you are mistaking something, the voltage most of the time will be 4.30 to 4.50v the charging speed is in watts, that is the sum of voltaje and amps so to check if your device is charging fast you must use an app to check the amps not the voltaje

Yeah I know, it's not the speed.
My main problem is, because of the low top charging voltage the battery also not filling fully.
when I take it off the charger @ 100% it only holds 4.26v. (NEW BATTERY should hold close to 4.4v)
and I get less of a total battery life.

Didn't work :/
Also tried deleting BatteryStats after the 100% charge.
