Your friends are never going to believe what you did. The only way to prove it to them is with that video you took. Rate this thread to express how videos shot on the Lenovo Zuk Edge come out. A higher rating indicates that videos are smooth (and not choppy) and that auto-focus works very well, and that the camera adjusts quickly to different lighting conditions while recording.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
If you face any issue with the video quality of the Lenovo Zuk Edge then you should try video editors like Alight Motion, Kinemaster, and VSCO to edit your videos. You can get these video editors from the internet.

I've recorded a couple of videos recently and although I was really impressed with the video quality, the sound is a bit rubbish. It has a slightly underwater, washy edge to it which must be due to a high compression rate (a bit like a 64kbps mp3). I can't seem to find an option to change the bit rate, and can't seem to find any alternative video apps (camera zoom fx doesn't record video).
Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!
Loads of threads about this.. There is no real answer.

Hello guys,
It's my first post here at XDa. Recently I bought a brand new Mi A1 64GB and really loved the dual camera possibilities. And I have started to love even more when I made it able to use Google Camera and it's HDR+ capabilities. The difference. Is. HUGE. A lot more of details and it becomes a SERIOUS alternative to pricier phones and even the selfies at dim light are great, totally different from the blurry and with a huge lack of sharpness and detail of the original Mi Camera.
That was a thing. But I needed something better in order to have more manual controls since Gcam app lacks manual controls in video and the video quality is not exactly good even though it's possible to use h265 codec that promises more detail and less noise with the same bitrate.
I have tried cameringo, cinema fv-5, the regular mi app, Gcam and filmic pro apk.
Filmic pro is, by a lot far, the best option we have for recording com. Even though the EIS doesn't work in the app (and works on Gcam app, but I didn't really liked it, just prefer to stabilize later on Google photos app), it's possible to manage hue, saturation, bitrate, framerate, it's possible to use cinelog profile in order to retain a lot more detail on recording, as well as the bitrate goes higher. In every other app tested, the video bitrate can't go higher than 42mbps and audio can't go higher than 96kbps. With Filmic pro, I was able shoot 100mbps film with 256kbps audio and choose which microphone I wanted to use. The video quality was noticeably higher, as well as the audio was a lot sharper.
I'm using camera2api, recommend you guys trying it out.
what version are you using?
It says it's not compatible with my device.
hi, if a camera is capable of taking HDR photos, why cant it record HDR videos?
is it a software thing or hardware? can any one care to provide an answer?
thanks
the phone actually takes HDR video, but there is two tipes of HDR
Almost every phone can take hdr videos since it ws introduced by the first Xperia Z, even before HDR photos, since HDR photos needs to combine 2 or more pictures, and video is actually a combination of pictures, so HDR video was in smartphones before HDR photos
at that time, HDR was only about exposure values, in photoa still the same, in Xperia XZ Premium you can know when its using HDR video when the auto mode changes to "backgroung light" or something like that, wich means the phone is underexposing the background and overexposing the subject to avoid burned areas in background or dark subject, same as in HDR photos
But in video HDR means two things: more than one exposure value, the same as in photos, or 10 (or more) bit image
videos are usually taken at 8bit colour depth
the HDR10 videos, wich is the HDR you see in Xperia XZ2, captures video at 10bit colour depth, wich means a bit more colour and light range
So it has nothing to do the ability to capture HDR photos with HDR10 video, and the phone can take HDR video but not 10bit HDR video
Also there is no other phone wich can capture 10bit HDR video than Xperia XZ2 series, and almost every phone can capture standar HDR photos and video
Yes, no other phone that can do 4k hdr 10 bit, only sony ???
In fact, my phone can do either 4k 60fps, either 4k hdr 10:good:
Also, before I switched to another phone, I have compared it against xz2 premium and xz3 in photo quality and the results were: sony is garbage!
Didn't want to write this, as some moderator closed my thread "it s time for me to move on", but... but.. Stop this nonsense as sony is the only one...?

P. S. These days I will upload some photos for comparison against xz premium... The results are night and day...

Yeah, it takes HDR video but the "old basic" HDR which takes different exposure values, not the 10bit HDR wich takes wide colour gamut

You can record in 4kHDR, but can you view it in the phone itself in 4kHDR?
Say "cheese", then rate this thread to express how photos taken with the Samsung Galaxy M30s come out. A higher rating indicates that photos offer rich color (without over-saturating), sharp detail (with all subjects in-focus), and appropriate exposure (with even lighting).
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

The photos are very good at daylight .
But when it comes to low light , It's not that much but quite good .
Other than low light , I have no issues with the camera quality .
The pictures can be compared with Realme XT , The only difference between Samsung galaxy M30s and Realme XT camera is that Realme gives the photo with more colour contrast whereas samsung gives it natural .
Note : You can Maintain it's color contrast in any photo editor.
Also : Samsung galaxy m30s do not allow us to click Raw Images .
Thank you .
Is it just on my handset or is there a crazy delay when capturing photos?

I think you have set it to 48MP mode... Its takes some time to save images takes in 48MP mode...

Other than the 48MP mode, I have crazy lag whenever I take pictures from any app(Snapchat, Instagram, Stock Camera app). The Image is captured 1-2 seconds after I tap the shutter Button.

I have nothing like that. The only explanation which comes to my mind is: that you capture the image files to external microSD memory card and this card is crappy. But this is just a thought.
No Camera2Api support
If it had Camera2Api support (at least Full), I would rate this phone above 3. Other than that its cool. I also wish they added Photosphere support in the stock camera app.

Thankfully Photosphere with gcam works for me
the camera is amazing in daylight, using scene optimizer the pictures look very eyes pleasing
the hdr is very good but doesn't work on 48mpx nor on videos like on the flagships
BUT
no shutterspeed control, no auto focus, no raw support, no 60fps (the Exynos 9611 can do 4k vid on 120fps) they just don't want to give us full camera2api access (surely to sell the other devices)
and just as the light condition reduce a bit the camera become potatoes and the same apply for the selfie cam it's sharp in daylight but become like oil painting once you get indoors
hope this help
I seem to have a hard time finding a thorough guide/wiki/tutorial/FAQ that goes through and can explain all the different camera and video recording settings.
Like what is video stabilization and when is it best to use a resolution/frame rate that allows for it? When would you want to use 1080p 120fps, especially in light of it then not allowing certain other features to be used? When best to ensure to use a resolution/fps setting that allows tracking auto-focus to be on? When would you want to be able to use the HDR10+ feature at the expense of being limited to a lower frame rate? Is 8K video recording really even practical and for what? Etc.
I personally tend to keep my video recording to 1080p 60fps because I much more prefer the smooth motion when recording regular home/family video moments, but then I'm sure there's circumstances that'd I'd be better off at a lower frame rate and then being allowed to have some other useful feature on.
