[Q] ODIN, can't connect in download mode, but onnects to switched on tablet

Hi guys!
I can't root my gt10.1 2 ((( When trying to connect it via odin - it shows nothing...
I rebooted device, pc, closed Kies, tried different usb ports, laptop - the result is 0 - odin cant see my device.
The most interesting thing is that odin can see my device when it is switched on
I really broke my brains trying to solve this problem)))
Any ideas???
P.S. Sorry for my bad English)))
odin flash back to stock
i recently succesfully rooted gtab2 p-3113 and lost all my apps including play store. after much searching found your link for odin flash to stock.says successful but my tab will not boot past pulsing samsung logo.please have patience with this noob question. HOW DO I FIX IT ? thanks guys, your threads have helped me succesfully root htc inspire,droidx2 and samsung illusion. your posts are invaluable. thanks again
You pressed volume down to confirm you wanted to enter download mode, right? Also, what OS are you on?
I couldn't get odin to work in download mode on my Win7X64 PC. I had to use another XP PC. Win7X64 works for some people, maybe it's a hardware specific issue.

Unplug tab.
Run ODEN as admin.
Plug tab in ODEN should show it connected.
You need to enable usb debugging, go to settings > developer options > usb debugging
Should solve your problem. Then go into download mode etc...

Agreed.if that doesn't work try to put it in another USB.sounds dumb but I couldn't get mine to connect and it worked for me.I'm pretty sure it has something to do with drivers and if you put it in another USB it will reinstall different drivers.I'm on win7 64 also.

^I doubt that, if it shows up as a usb device (if you can go to my computer and access the files for both the sd card and device) then its not a driver issue --mine showed up as a mp3 player (???) but it still worked. And then also as others said make sure you right click and run odin as admin. Good luck!
Actually if you dont speak english well i'm assuming you're not from america, I wonder if it could be a problem with a foreign version of windows (just a guess)

Actually just thought of this, You say you closed kies right? because for odin to work and programs like odin you need to plug your device in, close kies and then open odin. I think your issue may be that kies isnt actually closing, check your windows status bar in the lower right hand corner, a lot of manufacturer programs like kies dont actually close, they go into "device monitoring" mode. So if you see a small kies icon, right click and close it then open odin...

[Q] Stuck on Download/Recovery Mode

My galaxy S3 is stuck on download mode I am rooted and was trying to flash stock firmware and become unrooted but while flashing it gives me an error "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again." while in odin it gives it was unable to connect to device odin detects the device at the top it says com and stuff but i think it has something to do with debugging mode and since I cant boot the phone up normally I cant enable debugging. Any help on this issue would be great

I should have been in bed hours ago, if you tell us what version you had on the phone before you flashed and what version you tried to flash I bet some one will help you and you will be on a usable phone before I wake up.

If your not sure post what you see in the same format you see it in download mode.

2 Galaxy S10e phones, one cannot enter Download Mode, the other can.

I have 2 Galaxy S10e Exynos G970F phones, both running Lineage18.1 since around October 2021 when I installed it. Recently, I discovered that one enters Download Mode without a problem, the other cannot.
1. The phone with the issue also has no MTP while booted into LineageOS and the USB preferences remain greyed out.
2. adb doesn't work
3. I cannot enter Download Mode by holding down Bixby + VolDown and plugging in the USB to the computer.
4. Is there an alternative way to enter Download Mode?
5. Has anyone here experienced a similar issue?
6. Anyone here know if there is a trick to getting the USB to work again without having to replace hardware? (I don't know if it is a hardware fault)
If you can still boot Into lineage os use your phone and have atleast android 11. If so you could use shizuku and the app aShell with you can find as a paid app on google play or for free in F-Droid store. From ashell you should be able to enter all adb commands that you normaly should be able to acces through the usb port so there you can type ”adb reboot bootloader” to enter download mode.
Hope this helps
