OH ok. Because i joined in december when they accepted beta users for the second time
hes made a duplicate thread in the s8+ forum as well. i dont know why.
So. we will get Android O when Google releases Android P Beta.
The beta started the last week of October and stayed open until January before it was Permanetly closed.
How do I know, because I was apart of the beta program for T-Mobile

Samsung India has released an incremental update for the Galaxy S4 (I9500) in the country. The core OS version remains at Android 5.0.1 even though it has been a couple of weeks since Google released Android 5.0.2. This is an incremental update that comes in just north of 300MB. The Knox security suite has been upgraded from version 1.0 to version 2.0 in this update. It brings an improved user interface, two-factor biometric authentication, TrustZone-Protected Certificate Management, support for apps from the Google Play Store, better device integrity from kernel to app and other enhancements. The “Interruptions” mode that was introduced with the Lollipop update has now been removed. Mute mode is back for the Galaxy S4 (I9500) with this update.

After Core Prime and other Mid-range devices got an Official Lollipop Update (5.0.2), there comes a Final Phase. .In the previous phase, Core 2 update status was "pending", now it changed to "approved" in the Final Phase. Means our device is already confirmed to get an Android 5.0 update. . I don't know if this is really true. .But I hope Android 5.0 will come to our device .
BTW, what does "final phase" mean?, it means, the last mid-range devices to get Android 5.0 update?, what do you think guys?

Some news:
As far as I know, Galaxy Grand Prime Value Edition SM-G531H (3G model) will be launched soon with Android 5.0.2 out of the box. It has SC8830 spreadtrum chipset which is similar to our device SM-G355H. It has 1GB of ram. .I'm wondering if Samsung use SM-G531H firmware as a base ROM for updating Core 2 to Android Lollipop, because I guess that there are only small changes of SM-G531H' rom to make it running on Core 2 models. .

Looking at page I think it's true news...I would've tried to(still learning) build recovery and 5.1 for our devices instead of waiting for official...but source is huge in size....

I also flashed the beta using odin (full flash including CSC). After flash, I installed the beta program APK to sign into beta and so far, I have received both beta updates via OTA.
(My phone is from official Slovak distribution and I am located in Slovakia)

See, when I did that it said the maximum number of beta participants has been reached and didnt let me through

I bought the view 10 on prime day. I'm pleased in general with the phone.
During setup it tried to run an update, which resulted in a boot loop...good news the phone restored itself. Was worried for a few tho.
Anyway the question I have is what emui version is this phone supposed to have?
It's an bkl L04, Android 8.1 and emui 8.0

hi, so it means that Android is updated to 8.1 but the EMUI is still in 8.0? I believe that it's already 8.2 in some Honor devices.

Well, for this version, yes.
Some versions of the Honor V10/View 10 are on Android 8.0 & EMUI 8.1
So yes, there's gonna be differences, newer phones typically getting the latest of Android & EMUI 1st.
More or less, the same practice is SOP on all mfgs phones....

I recently purchased n986u1 but realized they have closed the option to unlock the bootloader after the recent patch.
2 days later I purchased an Exynos variant is shipped with android 12 and somehow managed to downgrade to android 11.
I'm a full-time oneplus/ iPhone user and was not aware of the binary issue on Samsung. Want to downgrade to android 10 doest matter if its custom ROM or anything else

The last new Samsung Note that shipped with Android 10 is the N10+. New ones are still for sale.
You can roll back to the same and a higher version than the bootloader/build number. That significant digit is the 5th from the end.
Here's how to read and interpret what you got.
Example, in this case it is 2, a N10+ running on Pie:

cant even flash a samsung custom rom?
Checking SamFW there's Android 11 and Android 12 Samsung stock ROMs compatible with the lastest BL revision. Going back to Android 10 wouldn't change your bootloader version, regardless. There may be some method that I've missed, but it's unlikely that it will be worth the time/effort to get there.
You can flash Android 11 (As I did originally) since there's a version compatible with the BL revision, or flash Android 12.
