First of All it's not Mine. I just wanna post it here for I know lots of Android user comes here to get help. Just spreading some little Help.
Requirements:
1. Terminal Emulator App
2. Zip File
3. Working Internet Connection

1. First download/Install Terminal Emulator (available on Play Store)
2. Extract the Downloaded Zip file in the root of your SD card and copy the extracted file on your internal memory. Means SD card and internal memory has this same file.
3. Open Terminal Emulator and type the command
su
4. Hit enter
5. Then Terminal Emulator will ask for root permission, grant it, and enter the commands
su /sdcard/mrw/root.sh
6. Hit Enter
7. Now, it will start running script and wait for approximately 2-3 minutes. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR DATA/INTERNET CONNECTION TURNED ON.
8. When it's done, open your app drawer and you'll see a super su app, open it.
9. It will ask you to update binary user binary, click Continue and click Normal Mode
10. It may ask you that other root app/s are already installed, just click OK and it will remove King root app from your phone and replace it with Super Su. (Note: sometimes it takes more than a minute, just be patient)
11. Click reboot if asked and Your Done!!..

Update on 9/11/11: Thanks to phburks there is now a flashable zip to root the G2X stock rom. He figured out that the update-binary we were using was not compatible with the G2X. He found the compatible binary that allows us to create flashable zip files. Hats off to phburks. This is an unsigned zip and you should not be required to toggle signature verification. Of course the files required to root the phone (su and Superuser.apk) were created by Chainsdd.
There are two flashable zip packages. The first one roots the G2X. You simply flash it with Clockworkmod Recovery. The second zip unroots the phone for those who wish to unroot their device for whatever reason.
After rooting go to the Android Market and get the Busybox installer referenced below. Use that to install and keep Busybox updated.

HOW TO ROOT
1. Install latest Clockworkmod Recovery using NVFlash, if you haven’t already done so.

3. Put the zip package on your internal or external sd card on your G2X. Do not unzip the package.
4. Turn off phone and boot into Clockworkmod Recovery by pressing volume down and power and hold until the fancy LG (second one) appears.
5. Select install zip from sd card. Select and flash the root zip package. Note: You navigate in Clockwordmod Recovery by using the volume keys up and down and commit the action by pressing the power button.
6. Reboot your phone. You are now rooted.
NOTE: THE FOLLOWING BELOW IS OBSOLETE. IT IS LEFT FOR HISTORICAL PURPOSES ONLY.

I wanted to run the stock Gingerbread ROM and wanted to root it without flashing a new ROM. I was able to succesfully do it and the instructions are below. I was attempting to make an update.zip to do this but it kept getting a "status 0" error. The original superuser zip by ChainDD also gets this error. So I decided to try and root it using ADB commands while running Clockworkmod Recovery. Here is how I did it. If someone can help me get an update.zip that will install without error in Clockworkmod Recovery to make this easier for people to install it would be much appreciated.
1. Download my G2X root package that includes necessary ADB files (Android SDK install not required) and unzip the contents. The package contains the latest versions of “su” and “Superuser.apk”.

adb push system /system

8. System is now rooted. You can unplug the USB cable now.
9. Now in Clockworkmod Recovery choose “unmount system.”
10. Go back to the main menu and choose “reboot system now.”
11. If you want busybox (some root programs such as Titanium Backup require it) on your system go to the Android Market after rebooting your phone and search on “Busybox.” Download and run the Busybox installer by Stephen (Stericson). When you are prompted allow it to have superuser permissions.

12. You are now rooted with a working busybox installation.
13. It is a good idea to go back into recovery and make a backup of your newly rooted system before you start installing and running programs that obtain superuser permissions.

This is for people who have been using the phone after applying the update and don't want to start from scratch again. This lets you just root the phone without needing to flash a rom and format the system.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I got it lol thanks for showing me it from a different angle
still realy no point xboarders is more stable and much faster then stock and all u need to do is flash his rom then go to advanced restore and only restore data ive gotten away with that doesnt always work though

That's a Command Prompt windows on your computer. The easiest way is to open the desired folder in Windows Explorer and then click on the address bar. Highlight the entire location and copy it. Then in your command prompt windows type "cd" a space, right click and paste the copied location and hit return. You will now be in the correct folder in your command prompt windows.

never mind, i found out i run out of space on my sd card
@jboxer, I figured out the flashable zip. Just tested it on an unrooted 2.3.3 installation and it worked perfectly. I PM'd you a link to the zip. Please add it to your OP if you'd like. There's no need for me to create a separate thread.

Thanks to phburks for the good work in figuring out why our update zip packages were being rejected by Clockworkmod Recovery. We now have flashable zips to root the G2X (works on stock GB rom) and to unroot it. They are listed in the first post that I have edited.

This forum contains Farhan's method of rooting..I have not personally achieved root access employing that..So I am writing down an easy method which grants root permission to your Iball tablet..

1. Root explorer(preferably v2.17.1)
2. Gingerbreak v1.20
3. Root Check.

These are enough for rooting.. Install RootExplorer and open it. Navigate via RootExplorer to /default.prop..
1. Press it for 2 seconds, then "open it" via text editor.
2. Edit the file default.prop to change the value ro.secure=0 (instead of the given value stock ro.secure=1)
3. Now press the back button, which gives a 'save" dialogue..Save it, and you see the original file is saved with the name "default.prop.bak".
4. Open your cmd.exe in windows and type adb shell..You should see a # instead of $..Now install and open the Root Checker, click "Verify Root Access", and then with a lot of frustration you will see "Sorry, you don't have root access"..
Don't be frustrated, I am here to help you out!!
5. Now install Gingerbreak, and open it, click "Root device"..It will take some time to run the exploit..then the device will automatically shut down..
6. Power on your device manually, it will take a little bit time more than usual. leave it for 1 minute after you see your unlock screen, then unlock it.
7.Go straight to menu>root Check..It will ask for SuperUser permission, Click ok>Veryfify Root Access..And then you will obviously see "Congratulations! You have root access!"
If you own success, please thank me, I have not copied someone's procedure, this procedure is completely discovered by me after going through lots of tutorials regarding android development, and now I am also capable of building some basic apps for android..

when i type adb shell in cmd the response is 'adb' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

this means that you do not have adb.exe in the same directory as the commands you are typing
I can't root my iball slide q45. I tried farmroot, towelroot, kingroot, king pro root, kingo root, gingerroot, z4root. Plz give me solution.
Requirement:
Rooted phone
Busy box
Terminal emulator (available in Google Play)
Download:
Term-init.zip
Instruction:
Extract the zip and Place the term-init.sh in internal sdcard
Open terminal emulator
Type: su
Allow Supersu / Superuser
Type: sh /sdcard/term-init.sh
Follow the instruction
Finish, Reboot your phone
To check whether init.d working or not:
After you reboot your phone
Go to /data directory (use Root Explorer)
You should find Test.log there, open that and make sure "init.d is working" text there

Remove KingRoot’s KingUser with SuperSU using Terminal [Requires Intermediate skills]
This method works for almost all the android devices and works the best, However, it requires some decent skills to follow the instructions and copy the commands listed below into the Terminal app.

1.Download & Install Terminal Emulator App

Steps to Replace KingUser with SuperSU?
Step 1: Extract the Replace_Kinguser_with_SuperSU ZIP File & Transfer the extracted version to Internal storage of device.
Install the Terminal app for Android and extract the Replace_Kinguser_with_SuperSU file and after extracting the Replace_Kinguser_with_supersu file transfer the “Extracted Folder – MRW” to outermost directory in the internal storage.
Step 2: Open Terminal Android App & Write the Following commands in the Android Terminal.
Open the terminal android app type the command “su” in the terminal, after writing the SU in terminal, you will be prompted with the message box asking you to deny/grant the functions. Granting permission will help you remove the kinguser on your smartphone.
After granting permissions you will have to type one single line of code, The other command will be: sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh
After writing the above command, it might show some error, but ignore that error, it will automatically launch SuperSU, in case it doesn’t manually open SuperSU.
Once done, Restart your smartphone and you will see that SuperSU works flawlessly on your Smartphone. That’s all, you’ve successfully replaced KingRoot’s KingUser with Chainfire’s SuperSU.

Well it works on 4.4.2 but you need you manually uninstall kinguser in system after.

If you're trying to access the midnight fonts in the magisk download version 16.3 with Google pixel there's a couple of things you might need to know. most think you're able to access the font just by installing or flashing however you need to also access the terminal on your Android and then make sure that you have entered the Su command for Superuser and then you need to type in CD enter,
Midnight enter, only then will you be greeted with the list of choices. Once you have downloaded your fav of the font that you prefer you will need to go into your file explorer whichever it may be, I use es Pro and locate where it has been saved there will be a template as to how you can type into your terminal as to use that app.
