I am running stock ROM and rooted with Magisk

There's already a very detailed thread going over all of this. https://forum.xda-developers.com/u11/how-to/collection-htcu-u11-ruu-firmware-t3612048

Sorry. I looked but obviously not hard enough. Thank you.

Anyone running Xposed Nougat on rooted stock?

So now that the unofficial Xposed for Nougat is out, has anyone gotten it to work on a rooted stock mate 9?
It looked like it might be just for magisk, but root is via SuperSU for us.

We have Magisk too
I'm not sure if the magisk module works though.

First off you need to be on a B182+ firmware and flash Twrp 3.1.0-1.
For decrypted (Wipe - 'Format Data' in twrp then back to twrp start screen and Reboot - Reboot recovery, this erases all user data/apps and you need to flash public and hw zip after you've formatted) use the official Magisk 13.3 zip: http://tiny.cc/latestmagisk
For encrypted (no need to format data or do anything special, downside is you won't be able to backup /data partition) use: https://mega.nz/#!I4FQzbyA!gBZelHmD3lGGwzGISUXkf7GQTUAq5i785d_qPHQOaVE
If you have any root flashed currently, flash back stock boot.img before flashing Magisk.

+1...I have been using Xposed for a long time on all my devices and would love to have it on my Mate 9. I am also rooted via SuperSU.

Rooting LG G3 (D850) AT&T tried all methods in the forums

Root checker just says "root is not properly installed", would like to know if upgrading and the rooting from there would be the best choice. Using 6.0.0.1 Marshmellow

The more updated the less likely your going to be able to root.. last time I heard of rooting the G3 you needed to downgrade to Kitkat
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Why KitKat? I hear there are some Nougat things but i've only seen this when google search for "root" methods specifically.

You have to downgrade. There are tutorials out there. I had to go back to 5.0 so I could root it, then install twrp with twrp manager, then install 7.0. There are no shortcuts. Use LG Tool to flash stock firmware. Here is one of the tutorials: https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/general/downgrade-lg-g3-d850-to-kit-kat-t3437524

Solved my issue of rooting by downgrading to 4.2 in LG Flash Tool without any problems, I guess my only question now is how do I get to 7.1 Nougat without any issues?

I went to RR 7.0. Some you have to bump. But, if you must have twrp, then download the rom, and gapps on your sd card. Go to twrp. Wipe, then install. I have did it and all runs good. Installing twrp is easy. Go to playstore. Get twrp manager and install twrp. Reboot to recovery. Boom.

Found myself going to Cloudy 2.5, solved my issue( occasional blue screen every 2 minutes turning on with success but unable to stay on) assuming the board is dead.

Magisk will have no effect on OTA updates. You only have to restore the stock recovery prior to taking the OTA update.

Update Magisk?

Currently running stock ROM on an unlocked and rooted phone.
Magisk manager reports an update available.. can I just download and install this?
I've seem posts saying you need to reflash the entire ROM but wanted to double check.
Thanks

I downloaded the latest beta version, flashed it with TWRP and restarted. It booted and has been working just fine, didn't have to re-flash the ROM.

All it's doing is updating the manager itself, not magisk. You're fine and should have no problems.
Actually Both Magisk and the Manager have updates.
I updated both via the app.
No Issues, Safe to update.

Will installing the OTA update lose root?

A few months ago I followed one of tutorials and unlock the bootloader, installed twrp, magisk, and gain root. I am normally a flashaholic but lately I been busy and working and have stay on the stock rom and haven't touch it. So I don't know much about how things work. I noticed I have a notification for the new update. What steps do I need to take to download the new update from oneplus and stay rooted? Or can I just download the updated as is?
Edit: Also, if I wanted to install an Android 11 rom, are they stable enough for daily use? If so, any recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

There is specific guides. Regarding this. You use a app to download the update. Apply it don't reboot. Then in magisk flash a twrp retention zip. And magisk install on inactive slot. Then reboot. Is the jist of it
