OPPO R7S Factory Flasher - OR - I bricked my R7S Help! - Oppo R7 Plus

Here you go guys. Please help each other out using this thread on the how to.
It is pretty straight forward. Just read the READ-ME folder.
I highly recommend using the Factory Flasher version A.05 !
Download Link here: https://mega.nz/#F!70hwFCTa!Kiy6R0TeL70QrLGuvOHFAA
ColorOS A.05 will allow for use of the OppoTools.
Which can be used to gain root access.
Such as seen on my guide here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/r7...very-official-twrp-oppo-r7sf-3-0-2-0-t3358552
Look at the buttom for the PDF Guide.
Please do NOT PM me for help.
I won't reply. I already have hundreds of unread PM's. I simply don't have time for replying.
So please help each other out.
a short screenshot guide (NOT BY ME!):
just ignore the device model number shown in one of the screenshots and select the proper one.

Hey,
sorry to bug you, I know you're incredibly busy. I've gone to your provided link and downloaded the R7sfEX_11_A.05_151119 Factory Flasher file.
Only thing is - there is no readme. Not in the archive, not at your link. I need the readme to know what to do.
Am I being stupid, or is it nowhere to be found?
Cheers

i just noticed the DownloadTool is missing from the A.05 package.
Do this to unbrick:
download the R7sfEX_11_A.06_151210.7z package.
unpack it and install the Qualcomm Driver in the READ-ME folder.
run the "Msm8x39DownloadTool.exe" select the device model which is listed in the "Instructions.txt"
with this package your R7S is unbrickable.
if you want the A.05 version.
do the same just copy the md5sum.exe and Msm8x39DownloadTool.exe from the A.06 package to the A.05 package and follow the same procedure.
at everyone using those packages.
feel free to write a step by step instruction (maybe with screenshots) and include it in this thread!

i've uploaded one older version and the latest i could find to my archive.
older version R7sfEX_11_A.03_151105.7z (rooting works with OppoTools)
newer version R7sfEX_11_A.11_160721.7z (rooting does not work with OppoTools, downgrade to A.05!)
i also came across a possible list of factory flasher versions.
R7sfEX_11_A.03_151105.tar.bz2 (in archive)
R7sfEX_11_A.05_151119.tar.bz2 (in archive)
R7sfEX_11_A.10_160421.tar(1).bz2 (missing)
R7sfEX_11_A.11_160721.tar.bz2 (in archive)
R7sfEX_11_A.12_160809.tar.bz2 (missing)
R7sfEX_11_A.13_170311.tar.bz2 (missing)
if anyone comes across one of the missing packages. please mirror a direct download link and i will push it into my mirror.

Can this thread be updated. Had an old phone lying around and need to reflasg. Cant get into download mode.
Thanks guys x

[Q] Some questions regarding the Recovery step on the Tutorial

hey there, have some questions regarding Step 2 Recovery from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583427
for some reason, it won't let me post as i have less than 10 posts.
so, going straight to the questions:
1) i downloaded SDK, now, do i have to install it? i actually installed it without knowing if i should or shouldn't and have no idea what to do with it.
2) was i supposed to extract the the Official CWM of koush? downloaded this one rather than Paul's interim but i didn't know what to do with it, so i just extracted into C:\fastboot
3) when he says "Place the CWM File where the fastboot.exe is (Downloaded with the SDK)" does he mean place the extracted bits with the installed SDK program into C:\fastboot? or does he mean leave the installer as is with the zip file as is in c:\fastboot? or a different combination altogether?
4) what is the name of the recovery in "fastboot flash recovery name_of_the_recovery.img"? i looked around and they said do recovery recovery, but that didn't work for me (couldn't find file error).
5) i have s4, is it wiser to go with the interim or official?
please feel free to ask if any of these questions are a bit confusing; tried my best to ask what i'm confused about. thanks for reading, and i'll greatly appreciate any help!

MOMO7达人RK3066-V2RO-CN-V1.0-4.1.1 CUS-JRO03H-20121109 <<< Google this and the top hit should be the download page for the ROM I'm talking about. Sorry, I can't post links just yet!
It's for a Ployer Momo7 Talent (or Darren and I've also seen it referenced as Pro)
I'm trying to extract the contents of this img file under ubuntu with afptool. (the version of afptool for rk3066 devices)
When I try to do so, I get the following error:
invalid header magic

I can't find an explanation as to what this error code means.
Actually, I've tried a whole bunch of methods to attempt to get to the contents of the image but nothing seems to work.
Also found a similar issue on Windows with the same afptool app:

Sort of making me wary of using this ROM at all! (even just for a straight up flash)
Anyone able to even so much as manage it at all?
Thanks,
Mark.

UPDATE-ZIP/Flashable-zip Whole-file Signer

Here I present,
An easy to use and effective, Flashable-zip(or update.zip) Signer!
There are many update-zip(flashable zip) Signers available, but this is special.
This Signer WHOLE-FILE signs your update.zips/flashable-zips, so it can pass even recovery's Signature Verification(Tested on CWM 5.0.2.8 on HTC Wildfire S)!
Unfortunately, as I am not very veryGood at C/C++ Programming, this tool does not have a Graphic User Interface(GUI).
I apologize, but as I am new to XDA, I don't know how to insert pictures, "Code:" etc, so this thread may look very ugly to you.
Oh yes! And DON'T EVER delete any file included in the zip, as it will cause the zip signer to malfunction.
I may have made this flashable-zip Signer, but I couldn't have done it without this people:
zeppelinrox ( for teaching me a little C/C++ Programming with his scripts )
The creator of signapk.jar ( an important part of this tool )
Google ( For Creating Android so that these tools can be developed )
YOU! ( for testing out my flashable-zip Signer )
And many more, who I apologize for leaving you out
Guide to using this zip signer
To Use this Signer:
1) Unzip the file(Obviously!)
2) Copy & paste the update-zip(a.k.a flashable zip) that you want to sign into that folder.
3) Run ROM Signer.bat
4) Follow the instructions in the application.
5) When it says "File successfully signed......", You are DONE!
After File signing operation succeeds, check the "signed" folder for your signed zip file.
Thank you for Using my Flashable-zip Signer!
I would appreaciate if you would hit the "Thanks" button.

Sorry let me better understand your issue first, you want to create a flashable update.zip for installing your firmware files right? So you want to create the correct META-INF files from scratch? Do you have TWRP recovery installed on your phone already? Cos it supports a newer kind of META-INF structure that makes a lot easier. Also your firmware files are for installing into the /system partition, or to be flashed? Sorry for having so many questions haha, I can better help you if I understand the technical details

[Q] Need basic help getting a recovery tool and loading a ROM

Ok, I've been installing custom ROMs on my phone for a while now, and that process was pretty simple after finding some good step by step instructions. I'm having trouble though finding similarly simple step by step instructions on how to load a recovery tool onto my TF101 and load a ROM onto it. Most threads seem to be recommending using TWRP over Clockwork (which was in the Cyanogen instructions), but I'm first stuck at the basic concept of the MD5 files. I have absolutely ZERO idea what the MD5 files are or how to use them. Is there a thread someone with general step by step instruction on how to get a good recovery tool on the TF101 and how to load a ROM? If so...maybe it should be stickied at the top of one of the main forums for the TF101?
Have a look here: http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...t/31927-frederuco-s-guide-root-rom-tf101.html
I have not posted it here, but perhaps I should...
MD5 sum are just computer generated numbers to match the file you download. I'm surprised that you never heard of MD5 before if you've been flashing ROM for a long time. Anyway when you download a file here on XDA, there's always an MD5 posted that is associated with the file. You have to check the MD5 of the file you download against the MD5 number posted.
-There are many program you can check on your PC (I use WinMD5.exe)
-There are many app in the Play Store to check MD5
-A lot of the popular file manager can do Md5 check (Asrtos, ES File Explorer, ect)
If your MD5 of the download file match the MD5 posted, it mean the file you download is good and not corrupted or incomplete.
I use ES File Explorer to check md5. Also, many downloads have a .zip.md5 to go with the .zip file and then TWRP can check the md5 sum itself.

Thanks for that. I took a quick look at it and that looks like more in line with what I was looking for. I'll run through your instructions and see how it works out. If I find anywhere that needs to be updated, I'll let you know. Then maybe we'll see if we can get a post stickied on here somewhere to help other noobs like myself.

I've been installing ROMs on my old Samsung Sidekick 4G. None of those ROMs have any MD5 anything associated with them.

Ok, I went through following your instructions from the other post. Excellent instructions. Worked out great. The only small note I have is at the end when you get to actually flashing the ROM and gapps etc. TWRPs gives you the option of adding more zip files to the flash and it appears that you can simply do the ROM, gapps, and kernel all at once if you want. I wasn't sure if there was any reason to do them individually, so I just went ahead and tried adding all 3 zip files to the flash. When it rebooted, it just sat at the loading screen (the meerkat with the 4 colored circles) for a really long time. I tried again and just flashed the ROM, then flashed the gapps, and left out the kernel all together and all seems fine. Thanks a ton for the tip!
I have had issues with TWRP 2.3.2.3 when flashing multiple files at once. The newer versions I have not had an issue with.
I think I am going to re-do that guide but also use some different rooting methods and add a video for each method.

Updated link list of A2 Lite Fastboot and full OTA Roms

https://xiaomifirmware.com/roms/download-official-roms-for-xiaomi-mi-a2-lite/
or this one seems to be even more up to date (credits to a1291762 for finding it)
https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/daisy/roms-global-stable/
Apparently nobody in this forum has ever posted a link to this blog.
This blog seems to be made by a xda member using automated scripts to scrap download links for ROMs.
It seems to be quite up to date and also includes the fastboot zip for the most current security patch v10.0.15.0.PDLMIXM , which I haven't seen in this forum yet.
Not sure how trustworthy these sites are but they actually just link to the official Xiaomi OTA download site(https://bigota.d.miui.com), thus the downloaded zips are the official one.

It could be useful for some OTA files specially for the latest v10.0.14.0 and v10.0.15.0 (wrongly placed in fastboot section) but about the fastboot roms the thread opened here is more updated and complete https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/how-to/fastboot-xiaomi-mi-a2-fastboot-images-t3824871 it contains the latest fastboot rom for our device, v10.0.13.0.
I recently found this site.
https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/daisy/roms-global-stable/
That looks like every fastboot and full OTA (site calls them "recovery") to me.

Thx that site seems to be even more up to date, I will include it in the top post if you don't mind. However it is very "minimalistic" I mean there is no information at all about this site available and at least on xiaomifirware you get some extra information blog posts on top and they actually have a disclaimer that they are not affiliated with Xiaomi.
However it seems both sites are actually linking to the official https://bigota.d.miui.com site when downloading the files, thus they should be kinda trustworthy as long as they actually linkt to the official xiami site.
The files from these sites aren't made to be used on Mi Flasher. How I can use these files? TWRP?

The .tgz files are designed to be used with fastboot/MiFlash. Not every version has one of these.
The .zip (Recovery) files are OTAs that get flashed by the system. I don't know how people usually unpack and flash those but it is possible.

I know about .tgz files. Just unpack and use with Mi Flasher. But these big zip files aren't. Inside have a big "payload.bin" file. Maybe is for use with stock recovery or TWRP, but I'm unsure.

Files with extension tgz are full global rom to be used with MiFlash tool, fastboot or EDL and first you have to unpack it.
Files with extension zip are OTA updates to be flashed through system when it does use the scripts of the stock recovery (when you receive that you have an update) or totally through a custom recovery like TWRP and you don´t need to unpack it (inside within other files you will see payload.bin file)
All the rest that can be founded out there is unnoficial, adapted roms at the like of the user.
Hi guys. Do you know which firmware version is the last android 9 version?
