I can't get mobile data to work on stock rom (nougat) - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Hey guys,
So lately i decided to try to dual boot on my phone so I can play pokemon go with a friend of mine but still mainly use a custom rom for evcerything else. So I reinstalled the stock firmware with download mode and tried to install twrp. due to me failing horribly due to me not working on my phone in a long while i had to restart. eventually i failled to get everything working multiple times (everytime i failed i would reinstall the stock rom) and gave up. so i installed the stock rom and twrp with magisk however I noticed my phone wouldn't connect to my mobile data. I tried to clear the cache, reinstall the stock rom again without twrp and turning mobile data on and off. nothing of what i tried worked. thats when i decided either i somehow broke my s7's radio receptor thing (i dunno whats it called) or my sim card broke somehow. so first i decided to insert my sim into my old phone and i was able to get my mobile data working. that made feel sad since i thought it meant i broke my s7. so since i voided my warrenty i decided that i will temporarily will use my s5 as my main phone and use my s7 as a sort of ipod.. that made me decide to install a custom rom again on my s7 to make it less bloated. here is where it gets strange though. for some reason i reinserted my sim into my s7 when i installed the custom rom and i was able to get mobile data! so i quickly, while thinking that it was fixed, reinstalled my stock rom and welp it wouldn't connect again.
(Also i think it is important to mention that it twice got connected to mobile data before it disapeared.)
So my main question is how do i get mobile data working again on the stock phone?
thanks in advance,
Mtbcooler

[Completed] [Q] Don't really know where to go from here

Alright, this is a long story.
I own an LGMS500 from MetroPCS (or the LD500 Tmobile version).
A year back I rooted the phone, but a couple of months ago it started to act up Giving me the message "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped." at first a restart would fix it but a few days after it got to the point where I couldn't use it. So I set out to fix it.
I knew I needed to flash it back to stock ROM since a factory reset and a hard factory reset didn't do anything. But for some reason I decided that flashing a custom ROM was a better Idea. I ended up flashing the xperia ROM and it soft bricked it ( It turned on and booted but wouldn't let me past a black screen, yet I could lower the status bar).
Then I tried to flash the stock ROM or the "MS50010e_03.zip" to load with KDZ. from:
http://androidforums.com/threads/metropcs-unbrick-kdz-for-metropcs-updated-11-13-2013.788365/
But every time I tried it it came back with a parameter error, I changed many things with no avail, Then I figured that since the phone had a tmobile version I flashed the tmobile stock ROM onto the phone and it worked, even let me use data. But after a few days it stopped letting me use data, with a "Service Disabled message on the status bar where it should've shown the mobile carrier. When I went to check my phones mobile data status I noticed that My IMEI # was unknown.
After some research I came to the conclusion that something was wrong with my EFS folder since that's where all that information resides.
At the moment the phone restarts after about 3 minutes of usage, I should also mention that I rooted the phone after the tmobile stock ROM install because of what this thread suggested I should do.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/guide-recover-imei-9-steps-t1264021
Basically I need to know if my conclusions are correct and what kind of steps I should take to recover the phone if possible.
A
FIXED it
I just loaded the MS50012b_00.kdz from:
android creations on the weebly site (sorry I can't post links yet)
This is the only image that worked the first time. After that my phone worked normally, accessed the mobile network correctly and the crashing stopped.
I even installed the xperia ROM that is on that page. Everything is running smoothly now.

Note 4 Dreadful unusable performance!

Hi Guys,
Hopefully this is in the right section
I have a Note 4 SM-N910G and its just turned absolutely useless since I factory flashed it. I have rooted it before and bricked it and un bricked it before so have some experience with it. I recently wiped my phone and did a firmware restore using Samsung Kies and since I did the phone is absolutely useless. It started out fine for an hour or two and now it lags by like a minute with any action, even trying to bring up the keyboard when typing. It will reset itself, lock itself, crash, just un useable. I've tried reflashing it again stock a couple times and still the same everytime. It went from perfectly fine to dreadful with the original mentioned restore. I did just recently get an error code of "sbl1 partition doesn't exist" in Boot recovery mode.
Does anyone know if this is fixable and not a hardware issue?
Should I try and just root it again and flash a non-oem rom? (I havent had the time to do it recently)
many thanks,
Tekkado
Hi Guys,
Also I should add that when I was rooted the phone was fine but when i went to unroot through super user the phone was still functioning as though rooted and I couldnt download software updates because my device was "modified".
So thats when i just flashed stock firmware and again now flashing through odin aswell it proceeds fine then the device will say installing updates and then give a no command error or seandroid not enforced. Everytime is basically a different message.
How can I just wipe everything and get back to stock?
Thanks
So to add to this is there any relationship between the firmware running and the bootloader? I just realised that before i tried to flash stock firmware i was rooted and didnt un root via superuser because in the past that did jack all.
I flashed dr. ketan rom this morning and the phone was operating as normal very snappy but as soon as i downloaded a new app from the play store (reddit and chrome) again it turned to absolute crap.
Is there a disconnect here that i missing that can be fixed?
Thanks

Need help with Samsung Galaxy Amp 2

Okay this is my very first post. Let me start off by saying this is like my second Android phone. Previously I had the Galaxy J1 thru verizon but never had any issues. All my other phones have been all iPhones and I don't know anything about Android rooting/flashing etc. I've switched to Android recently after having practically every iPhone since the original. My problem is that I rooted the Amp 2 following the instructions from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/galaxy-2-rootable-t3384285/page4. It worked, the main reason why I decided to root the phone was to gain more system memory which I'm disqusted that Android takes up a lot of it's OS or w.e in its system memory and to bypass Cricket's stupid tethering block on the $60 plan without the mobile hotspot. Once I flashed the file provided via odin and rooted with kingroot, I would get a security notice that unauthorized changes have been made and that I would need to reboot my device, that was fine with me but I did so only to find that the message still appears every fifteen minutes so I disabled it with the package disable pro that I bought on the google play store. The problem I'm having is that I can't encrypt my phone and
SD card. Everytime I try to do so it wont work and I can't even get the SD card to mount properly so I unrooted the phone with kingroot and restored my phone back to factory. Still the same issue.... For whatever reason, it wont let me encrypt the phone again and I cannot get back whatever pictures from my SD card I had and a backup of all my contacts I imported from my J1. All I wanted was to try a custom recovery and ROM but I want to make the phone stock again because I been having so much issues. Like I've stated before I don't know anything on Android rooting and flashing, only iPhone jailbreaks. If somebody can help me out that will be great. I understand that the phone was given to me for free by porting over my number and that I can easily get another Android for cheap but all I want to do is get some assistance.
I downloaded the stock ROM file but I can't seem to flash it in Odin or using the recovery mode if that makes sense to anybody reading this thread. I've tried clicking the AP box to select my file but its a zip file and I can't get it to work.
Helppppp
Bump need help recovering back to a stock ROM. I must of screwed something up. I've downloaded the stock Rom over the internet but I can't seem to get it to work by Odin. CAN SOMEBODY HELP CUZ I CAN'T EVEN DOWNLOAD ANY APPS OFF GOOGLE PLAY!! PLZ HELPPPP

G920F Flashing TWRP is troublesome. No access to internal memory and bootloop. Help!

Hey guy's I've owned all Galaxy S models up until the S7. (except for S3 when I had a Note2). I've always flashed all my phones with custom firmware except when the S6 came along. This was the first phone that worked pretty well out of the box and because of device encryption not working with custom firmwares and kernels I didn't want to go off stock. Recently I wanted to give my S6 a refreshment and I replaced most parts. Midframe, camera, screenglass, rearglass, charger board and obviously the annoyingly small 2550mah battery that was pretty much useless after 2 years of extensive use. (max 2h SOT). I replaced it with de 3600mah S7 Edge battery and obviously ran into calibration issues. There is a new kernel that can solve this issue. So I decided to flash it.
Previously I tried some custom software but got into trouble because of device encryption. When I flashed TWRP I couldn't access the internal memory with it. But when I turned of encryption it would work. But Nougat 7.0 doesn't seem to be able to turn off device encryption.. I can't find the option anywhere!
I flashed the latest (correct version) of TWRP with Odin and got it too boot into recovery.. Again can't access the internal memory to flash anything else. When I try to reboot it keeps bootlooping. I've read I need to flash the SuperSU root to fix this issue but I don't want to root the device... I just want to install the custom kernel. And anyway I CAN'T even flash the root file because I can't access the memory.. I flashed the other root file with Odin.. this made the phone boot up again but come back with a warning that the data couldn't be verified (obviously being related to encryption).
I don't know how to turn off encryption in Nougat 7.0. It just doesn't seem to have the option.. But als TWRP is useless right now..
Maybe useful to know, I've upgrade android 6.1 to 7.0 with OTA. Never did a factory reset in between these versions. So it copied the encryption settings from the 6.1 version.. I've read encryption in Nougat 7.0 is always one but works differently? I'm a little confused
I'm kind of stuck... I reflashed original firmware to get back into my phone again. Any ideas?

Help! My OP6 won't register sims, pick up wifi and keeps rebooting!

Hi and thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide, I think my phone is dead :crying:
Anyway, story time...
I woke up to the door knocking and the postman was there with a package I had to sign for. My heart jumped as I knew it was my new OP6 from ebay (refurbed and from a highly regarded refurbed phone seller).
I inserted my SIM and the symbol for signal came on so the sim slot was working. I then connected to my wifi so the wifi is working. I like to customize my phones so I immediately come to XDA to find a ROM I'd like to install and to find the instructions for unlocking the bootloader, installing TWRP and Majisk. I looked and settled on AOSiP seeing that the required OOS firmware is 10.3.0 I upgrade through the system update feature.
Having updated I go on to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and magisk. Upon unlocking the bootloader when the system rebooted it stopped reading sim cards and picking up wifi signals. Using adb I installed TWRP (using the proper method of temporarily booting into the TWRP and the installing the ZIP. Like an idiot I didn't read the instructions properly and flashed the AOSiP zip which failed.
I thought the best thing to do was start over so I flashed the official recovery boot image using adb. I ended up only able to access the bootloader/fastboot. Every option apart from turn off just caused the phone to boot into the bootloader. I fixed this using the instructions on https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/rom-stock-fastboot-roms-oneplus-6-t3796665 using the 10.0-OnePlus6Oxygen_22_OTA_040_all_1910270546_42a63-FASTBOOT.zip and I can now access the system but the setup keeps stopping and it still won't pick up sim cards or wifi and keeps rebooting.
I have tried to restore to stock using the system update feature and manually downgrade but the phone reboots before the downgrade gets chance to finish. I think this is eveything I did although maybe I pressed something i shouldn't have in TWRP.
I've heard two different things about this issue one is that android 10 is not fully working yet and that's causing the reboots and connectivity issues but I have had an OP6 before (I had to sell it ) another thing I heard was it was a hardware issue and the motherboard needs replacing. Please help, if it is a software issue then I'm screwed, I relocked the bootloader but I'm sure the seller will be able to tell and not replace of refund the item. If it's a hardware issue I can at least get my money back. If anyone can help me fix this it would be much appreciated.
