Make sure there is a file called "audio_effects.conf" in your /system/etc. If so it should work
@Craz Basics
I have an update for this.
Set SE Permissive via init.d instead of an app
Updated V4A
Move V4A from data to system/priv-app
If there is no init.d support in the end-users rom, they can open up V4A, hit the menu, and disable selinux from there.

Decent UltraLite 3.0 (Android 7) and flashed both versions.
First, does not work.
Second won't pass boot screen to logo part.

If wanam, the guy that works on unofficial Xposed for Samsung 5.1.1 devices says that it has to be deodexed to work, then that's the case. So there's no way you're successfully running Xposed on an odexed ROM, nice try.

how to install Xposed after root and TWRP installed
Ok so i have installed TRWP and have rooted my note 5. Where abouts do i get the deodexed Rom? After that i would flash it with Twrp then install xposed? Just a little new at this and any help would be great. Sorry if im asking in the wrong section. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
I've been out of the XDA game for awhile now since my last phone couldn't be rooted. I just got this phone, and immediately rooted it
Well, my question is can the xposed framework be installed on the stock ROM? Xposed seems to be really different since the last time I used it haha
If it can then what would I need to do to install it? Thanks to anyone in advance

I had the same problem with the download from XDA thread, did a google, and installed from a different link(sorry, can't remember which) ARM64 v80. Works like a charm, except APM+ module doesn't work, and I can't find a module to center clock, and full statusbar mods. Just try different download. Good luck!

I have created a Magisk based Grip Rejection Removal port for our PH-1 Phones.
What it is: The edges of the phone (the "grip") are disabled to prevent erroneous touches. This will disable this and use the edges of the phone (great for cases)
Prerequisites:
Oreo Beta 1, 2, 3, Oreo 8.1 Beta 1 (LOS has this implemented already)
Magisk 15.0 or newer (Uses 1500 template)
What it does:
It replaces hbtp_grip.so in vendor/bin : modified logic to always disable grip
add post-fs-data command hbtp_daemon tool sendCommand enableGripRejection 0
add resetprop command sys.grip.status=off
The usual disclaimer: This is a free-for-all zip, meaning i dont care if you modify it, pass it off to other groups, help anybody else, etc. I am not responsible if you get your phone messed up, it works for me, and for others. I will help as much as i can. Its a work in process, hopefully, it will make life easier for everybody.

Meh.... Don't really feel like maintaining a git to do so
I tried adopting this for nougat as the same file is in /system/etc but my magisk-fu is very poor. It doesn't replace the file for me.
Do I have it right that changing enableGripRejection to 0 in both parts of the decision tree then rebooting will have the same effect, or do I specifically need to tell the daemon as in the OP's magisk module?

Since I've been using Pixel Experience, I never moved to a different ROM since battery backup and performance is awesome! Only thing missing was the music mods. This guide has already been tested on RR and stock ROM 8.0 in the comments and both feedback have it working!
YOU CAN SKIP ANY OF THE SOUND MODS YOU DON'T WANT TO INSTALL. THESE ARE JUST THE PROPER LINKS TO THE WORKING FILES AS OTHER FILES GIVES BOOTLOOP.
Now, onto the guide!
Requirement
TWRP
Instructions
Proper guide to install sound mods without losing WiFi and other functions (you may skip any sound mod you wouldn't like to include):
Dolby-Atmos_Axon7_Oreo_BnC_Edition.zip if you want Dolby Atmos.
[*][URL=https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4514264&d=1527706615]Download and install Viper4Android FX v2.6.0.5 APK from the attachment below.
Open V4A app and Install drivers.
Check the Magisk modules. Viper4Android should be installed.
Install the Dolby-Atmos_Axon7_Oreo_BnC_Edition.zip via Magisk Manager app
Don't open the Dolby Atmos app yet. It should also be in Magisk modules.
Install Ainur Sauron from Magisk Downloads.
Install JamesDSP from Magisk Downloads.
Feel free to install any other sound mod on this part of the tutorial.
Lastly, install Audio Modification Library from Magisk Downloads as well.
You should see it patching all your sound mods.
Reboot for the last time.
All audio mods should be working fine without breaking WiFi functionality.
Assuming you're using a custom ROM and want to update to the latest, just reinstall Magisk and all modules will be kept.
Voila! All sound mods should work side-by-side with each other! Hope this helps and report if it works for you!
This has been tested on the following ROMs:
- Pixel Experience (6/3/18 build)
