Hey guys, I'm new on this forum and I would like to ask for help regarding a screen protector. My phone came with a pre-installed screen film protector and I replace it with a glass protector that I bought on ali, but the glass wont fit on the edges on the phone. I read the feedback from other users and they have the same problem. I want to ask if any of you has bought a glass protector for the p9 lite 2017 that actually works or even a regular screen protector it would be nice, because I can't use it with the edges not glued, it looks bad and after the first day of using it, the glass is cracked on one edge.
Thanks for your help!
There is no way to fix this because the screen is curved on the sides, and they can't make curved glass screen protectors, the only way to avoid this is to use a plastic screen protector

Hi guys,
I saw several topics relative to screen protectors but I'm a bit lost when it comes to choose a good screen protector that fit my requirements..
Right now, I am using the screen protector (and back protector) delivered with the phone (not talking about the anti-shatter film), but I got recently an impact/scratches on the screen and I'd like to change the screen protector to something at least as good as the original sony screen protector.
I was quite interested in buying a tempered glass screen protector as it is highly resistant to scratches and has usually oleophobic coating, but I heard that it is very fragile and, once applied, the phone can't fit anymore in the sony charging dock (which is really a shame). But I'd like to have a confirmation from you guys regarding this?
Otherwise, can you please give me advice about a great plastic screen protector, easy to apply and efficient against scratches and fingerprints (oleophobic coating if it exists for plastic screen protector)?
I saw suggestions about the XtremeGuard one, is that really worth the price? What I don't like is you need water to install it onto the screen (that's why the HI-DEF one of this manufacturer looks better as you don't need water), also there's no hole for the proximity sensor, I heard that's sometimes a problem?
Thanks in advance for your advices!
..
i think it would make the screen twice as thick and it wouldn't adhere to the screen, you'd be better off getting either a tempered glass or matte screen protector
..
id still go with the screen protector not just a new front screen
Yeah just go with the tempered glass protector. There is no purpose to buying another screen and adding it on top of another one. Your screen sensitivity might drop as well if you were to do that.
I bought an iloome screenmate tempered glass protector back in January I believe and it's still holding up awesomely. Still fully adhered. No scratches. Fits perfectly. :good:

I've tried a couple of tempered glass screen protectors so far (supershieldz and dmax) and both of them leave a few mm glass on all sides. This couples with the ringke case leaves a gap for dust to collect.
I was wondering this this phone has a flat screen, not curved at the edges, would there be a way to get a screen protector that completely covers it right to the edge or with a very small gap(<1mm).
Does anyone know of a glass protector like that which will cover 100% of the front face?
Thanks
@intelliARMOR have said they are making one in the next month once they get their first batch of more case friendly screens out.
I have a tempered glass screen protector on my S5 Active. I was thinking about buying an anti-glare protector to put on top of it. Has anyone ever stacked screen protectors like this before?
Thanks
Hi guys!
New to the Pixel community, so yay!
From the Galaxy S5, I really miss the flat screen. I transitioned over the the GS7, and I hate how the edges of the screen are curved in. This makes glass protectors only made to stick on to the "sides" and not full adhesive.
I have read through the long long thread about tempered glass and also a short thread. However, none of them answered my question.
I was looking for a glass screen protector that is "flat" with no curved edges with full screen adhesive, not just on the edges. I realized that the ones that stick on the edges will always allow dust to get in between the screen and the protector itself.
I don't really care for full screen protectors so long as it is full adhesive. I used alcohol wipes on by screen a lot due to working in a germ health care environment.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!!
