Connecting the Gear Manager for Ios:
in the store the app: Here WeGo is not there.
Why?
Anybody any idea? Or better: how to get the app,
Unfortunately you need a Samsung phone to get it. One way which worked for me was to pair with a Samsung phone download Here Wego take backup of watch and pair up again with my Nexus 6p and do a restore. Now you can find Here Wego from my apps in the app store.

I can't find anything on this.
So I'm trying to pair my Galaxy S5 with the Gear2 - it can see the Gear 2 on bluetooth, but there's no prompt to pair.
Gear Manager pops up an error message very quickly and force closes.
I don't particularly want to have to sign up with a samsung account and/or use their app store on my phone - is there any way around this?

i believe you need to have a Samsung app store account. how else will you have access to the thousands of great apps for the Gear 2 without one... lol, but seriously, no account no acess. there are few (if any) apps in android play store. Gear 2 runs on tizen, not Android.
as for the F/C, try uninstalling everything and try again. my Gear 2 paired up with my Note 3 right away.

I found a version of Gear manager as an apk download that runs, but you're right - what you can do with it is highly restricted.
I'm a little more privacy-aware than most android users, and as a result I'm probably not going to use the device much if it's locked to a corporate app store.

The apps download to your phone which transfers them to your watch. The only possible apps I can think of that might expose your watch data are fitness apps that transfer your stats back to the phone. Watch faces, games, etc. don't share any data but still, the only way to get them is through the Samsung App Store.
I am gonna secure one today from BB. I looked at google play and cannot find a Tizen app that communicates with S2. Samsung phones have a gear app that will communicate with their watches. I looked up Samsung.com and could not find info.
How does one install tizen apps on Gear S2 watch? from the watch itself?
You will need to download the Samsung Gear app.

I'm using an LG G3 and I had to install the Gear Manager app from the Play Store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager
Once I connected my watch it prompted me to install a couple other plug ins and sign in to Samsung, but it wasn't confusing to get it going.
I have a Padfone S and the store won't let me install it. I had to download the APK from another APK repository to install it. Seems to work OK so I don't see why they won't let me download the app from the Play Store.
After installing the official Gear Manager for Ios (Iphone), I had to resett my Gear.
Of course all previous apps were deleted. One was HERE WeGo.
After reinstaling all apps I could not find the app HERE WeGo any longer.
Is it out of the store or only as a paid version?

I have the same problem with many apps , i think there is 2 possibility first it's maybe because of iPhone version of gear app and the second one it is maybe depend on region of your watch
but before ios paring, do you paired your watch with Samsung or android device ?
Same issue.

Same exact issue here. Did a reset on the Gear s3 in order to switch from Beta to the officially supported iOS app. After that Here WeGo was gone and not available on the app store any longer.
If I find any solution/answer I will post it here.
Thanks for your post!

Same here: Germany. Thinking about going back to Android app
I m going back to android app as well due to lack of crucial apps like spotify . I have the LTE frontier and was happy with the standalone spotify on it.

Topic is about Here WeGo !
Not about Spotify. Start your own topic please.
Same here, I live in Germany. It seems that the Android version has many more apps in the store including WeGo and the standalone navigation software

It's strange. For in the beta version of the Gear Manager it was available.
Installed it then. But after reset for original Gear Manager lost the App Here WeGo.:crying:
Write to samsung support ASAP. All of you....

If you try to install most apps on android, they will show up in your iOS device under "My Apps"->"All" and you can install them from there. However, it doesn't work with all apps. And some that install (including navigator) won't work, because they need a companion app on the phone.
I like Here Wego but although I can get the US version off Play, I can only get the European version from Gear.

Hello,
I just purchased a new Gear S3. I love this device. I install all necesary apps on my Nexus 6p (Samsung gear app and some drivers).
Watch an phone getting along great but problem is that on Gear app store I can not see all the apps, nor the watc faces, anly those for free so I can not purchase any of premium ones.
Is there any way tho change my location to any other country to be able to see all the apps?
Thank you so much for help an take care.
Vladimir
You can install fakegps from the Google Apps store. I notice my weather app on my watch changes when I use this on the phone.

I downloaded this app. I don't know if this is a new app or what but i have only just stumbled across it in the galaxy app store. I have gear browser already installed, but this is a 3rd party app for browsing. I like to keep most things stock so i installed the samsung official app. After downloading the app and opening it says "To use Internet on gear. Install master app on phone" then the app force closes. However, I am running the gear s3 alongside an s7 edge, so it is obvious the master app is installed as it comes pre-loaded.
Has anybody experienced this before or does anybody know of a work-around?

You need the companion app for the gear samsung internet. You can download it through the Samsung app store
Ok sorted. That works. Thank you
I can only find the regular Samsung Internet app at the Google Play store. It doesn't have anything to do with the Gear watch.
How do you locate the app for the Gear that is named "Companion App"?
