Garmin type high quality thread. - Samsung Gear S3

My only complaint about gear s3 is the strap... The default one does not have a quality look.
I like rubber/silicone ones and the ones that I have seen/bought so far are not of high quality
Garmin, Sunoco, and some Casio even have very high-quality straps Eg: http://a.co/8DQc38y , http://a.co/ffuHuVh
Has anyone seen something similar in silicone or rubber for gear s3 ?

[VIDEO] Samsung Galaxy S4 Trident Aegis Series Case Review / First Look

I've had a couple of Kraken cases from Trident before, but honestly I think mid level protection suits 95% of the people in the world. I've done combat equipment jumps with TPU cases. A person's clumsiness might be their worst enemy.
Name an occasion where you might need even more protection. Hmm... If you're going to mount the phone externally on a holster or bicycle handlebars, you might need the added protection. I'll probably be carrying this in my pocket though.
Ask me to name another case that reminds me of the Aegis, and I'd reply Commuter (Otterbox). Basic design and price point are similar.
Let me get to the point. This case is nice. I like it! In my opinion it has more style than the Commuter. The rubber is placed appropriately to provide the best grip and protection.
Something I didn't mention in the video is that the opening for the camera/flash are larger than with most cases. Good point is that it can fit some universal add on lenses like those from PhotoJojo.com. No distortion from the lens not being able to mount flat and centered on the camera. Bad point is that it would make the camera more susceptible to damage.

Where to find rubber case+kick stand?

I cant seem to source any locally so i probably need to order online but only have seen like one picture that did not have a brand name to it.
preferably with a screen protector or just recommend one of those as well. also not cheap quality, it just needs to provide mild protection against bumps.
also the back can be hard shell, just need the interior to be soft.

i-Blason from Amazon works great for me.

uh how padded is the interior, for 15$ i could only assume low build quality in comparison to the others. i mean in some cases its not drastic the difference but i dont know how much it is.

this is close to what im looking for, form the reviews people claim the stand just flops out which would be quite annoying.
basically something like an otterbox with a kickstand is ideal but i dont think any exist.
this is the idea design behind the case im trying to source

now something like that with a rubber silicon interior would be ideal.
think this it is.

within price range, seems like it has the rubber interior + a decent quality kick stand. not sure if the metal would **** with the phones signal though. claims to not break NFC as well.
edit, got that + the screen protector 2 pack they provide. seems like most of the reviews are positive for them and they seem to be the thinnest i can find.
I’ve bought dozens of cases for my s4 and two of them had kickstands that I really liked. Neither of them have “soft” interiors though but are both worth checking out.
First one, the cheap one by MiniSuit. It’s cheap, but not too bad in quality. It’s about $5 - $10. The kickstand lasted longer than the $90 case below.
Second one, the premium one so-to-say. It’s $90. Way over priced, but this case had everything I needed. Low profile, aluminum bumper, rubberized interior and back plate, kickstand, PLUS....the real seller for me here, the patented SBS technology that directs the sound coming from the rear speaker to the front of the front via built in port. But yeah, kick stand broke after a month, but I'm one of those users that carries a spare battery on me at all times and is constantly taking the case on and off. At least twice a day.
I also found this one on Amazon that might fluff your muffin.

[Q] S Charger Cover White not really faux leather - US/European versions

I live in Europe, and just recently I upgraded from my old good Note 2 to Note 4 in white. I was disappointed about the cover, which instead feeling faux leather (like my wife's Note 3 does) is completely plastic and is extremely slippy.
I hoped that after upgrading to S Charger Cover, it may be more 'faux leather' but it is really not a case. The original Samsung's S Charger Cover is exactly the same plastic and slippy (in a way like Galaxy S5 cover is).
However I found out that US Samsung site lists White S Charger Cover under EP-CN910IWUSTA label while the one I purchased in Samsung Brand Store is labelled EP-CN910IWEGWW.
I wrote to US support, and they answered: "It seems EP-CN910IWEGWW to be a Non-US / International accessory. (...) Wireless Charging Qi Cover (EP-CN910IWUSTA) is made out of faux leather."
Now the actual questions:
- does any European user of white Note 4 has this feeling that both OEM cover and S Charger Cover are actually totally plastic and not a 'faux leather' at all?
- does any US user of white Note 4 can confirm if the white S Charge Cover EP-CN910IWUSTA feels like a leather not like ordinary polystyrene plastic?
I have the black one here in the US and I get exactly what you mean. It is more of a leather textured soft plastic than true faux leather. I've had a faux leather recliner, Volkswagen Jetta (new model) with faux leather (not vinyl style), and several modern faux leather jackets (most designers don't use real leather these days) and the phone cover is way different. I know this isn't pc but as big of a red meat country the USA is and many other countries in the world why not use all of the animal when cows are made into food? I'm sure a lot of meat processors do sell the leather but Idon't know who this people are fooling when people become vegan and wear leather products. It's hypocrisy at its finest lol! I love animals, have done volunteer work with them, fostered them, and have several pets but still eat meat. I say until most folks are vegan in the world... Why waste parts? It won't cause more animals to be killed lol! That's silly. Sorry for the rant. I've looked at other battery covers and none are leather that I have seen. You could get a leather or true faux leather case but that's about all of the options. My girlfriend has the LG G4 with a leather battery cover. It's a nice replacement for the Note 4. It has a FANTASTIC camera and comes with an extra battery and charger. The only downside I've found is development is not as extensive (they just got root very recently), IR is very short range, and no stylus. I hear that LG is making a model very similar to the Note with stylus and all shortly. Might be my replacement since the Note 5 has fallen flat feature wise. Good luck! Oh and as far as your problem with the faux leather goes... I highly recommend the Samsung protective cover. It is extremely thin and form fitting and provides decent protection without the bulk of other cases.

Looking for S6 case with sturdy strap or holder for action sports filming

I'm looking for either a case with a sturdy wrist strap or secure holder for my S6 to use while riding a zip line. Going to a retreat in a few weeks and per camp regulation, any "camera"
needs to have a wrist strap in order to bring it on the zip line. I could sneak it, but if you've ever ridden a zip line, there is a chance of dropping it, especially at the end when it suddenly slows down. I'll be about 100ft in the air for about a quarter mile. The only things coming up are leather wallet cases with straps, that's not going to cut it. Even something that can mount it, like a Go-Pro style mount would be good. I'm sure I could rig something, but I was looking for something inexpensive off the shelf. Any ideas?

Thanks Gomek111222, it's a good quality case, but that's an armband case. It isn't going to allow filming while in use.

Metal Case with glass screen protector

Just came across the Moto X Pure Edition Case,Mangix Water Resistant Full-body Rugged Gorilla Glass Aluminum Alloy Protective Metal Heavy Duty Cover Case for Motorola Moto X Style / Pure Edition 2015 (Black) on Amazon. Thinking about getting it but once again $26 for a brand I do not know is keeping me doubtful. Anyone familiar with Mangix/Love Mei brand? What are your thoughts? There are other color options available.
I have this one lying here. There is also a video review on youtube. I bought mine because I wanted to see if I can seal the case to be waterproof for going motorcycling. The case in its factory state is definitely not waterproof, as the bottom has open holes for camera and mic. Furthermore, it is a mighty beast. It weights real 260g by itself and adds around 8mm on each side. So your phone will weight a hefty 437g in that case. Besides this, the case is very well built. It fits, the massive rubber shell should offer great protection on drops (not tried), the integrated glass should withstand some physical abuse (not tried). Holes for usb and headphone look like as if they are large enough (not tried). Power and volume buttons work great.
All in all, it seems to be a good case. But there's definitely a reason why otterbox is plastic. I will most surely not put this in my backpack when going hiking, two chocolate bars are a much better choice. Also, some ppl have reported that the metal body decreases antenna reception. Have not tried it myself.
Summary (3 max)
+3 built quality
+2 protection (-1 for not being waterproof)
-2 for everyday use
I wonder why it's so difficult to get true waterproof cases. Using a smartphone for car / motorbike navigations has become common these days. They are about to replace incar systems. And as the market just does not offer affordable rugged nav solutions (yes, I own a garmin and tried several others, just not anywhere near the quality of smartphone navigation capabilites - for the price), going waterproof with the smartphone is a logical alternative. The first company selling a highend smartphone along with a waterproof case and a rugged power plug will win me as customer. Oh yes, my last phone was a rugged china outdoor phone. The vendor was "No.1", identical to the "caterpillar" or "land rover" phones. 5.5' display android v4 for 70€. Its native case was really waterproof (did the lengthy shower test), but the rest was uttermost trash (bad audio quality, no public root nor factory image, no wifi reception). And it passed away silently during charging over the night, about 4 weeks ago. So I was ready for a decent phone, which became the X style/pure.
Thanks. While the case looks neat and rugged, if there really is the issue with it causing reception problems, then it is definitely a no go. One of the several reasons I went Motorola is because the phones tend to have stronger reception... At least in my experience. I've had several devices from several companies (3 Samsung, 3 LG, 2 HTC, 2 Nokia and one Microsoft Lumia, and 4 Motorola). Aside from Nokia/ Lumia devices, Moto has usually not had dropped calls at my job unlike the other brands. I'll stick with what works.
As far as waterproof, some manufacturers are making phones themselves waterproof (within limits of course). Sony is the one offering multiple models, both flagship and "budget". Samsung has made a couple themselves.
As far as waterproof cases, the reputable companies tend to focus on those phones with high volume sales, such as Samsung flagships (Galaxy and note models) and iPhone as this is where the money to be made is at. Moto phone sales are relatively small compared to those two.
