Hi,
I'm using LG G3 AT&T (D850). When I bought it, It had Philz recovery already installed but Philz recovery installed is of LG G3 VS985. I want to flash Lineage OS but I can't because Philz recovey gives me an error saying: "This Zip is for device D850 and you're using VS985".
I tried to installed TWRP by using PC and also by using Flashify. There was no problem in installation but When I try to boot into recovery, There's nothing except black screen and Red blue Flashing led lights(Notification lights).
When I flash VS985 Philz recovery into my phone, The recovery works. And The CWM app is showing that I have two recoveries installed namely CWM and TWRP.
Please help

Actually You Have Broken Your Phone's Recovery . Your Phone's Bootloader Was Locked And You Flashed A Bumped Image By Flashify .
.
You can install through flashify only on kitkat and you need to flash a bumped recovery image .
On Lollipop , you cannot flash a bumped recovery directly by flashify . You need to flash it through pc by IMAGPREP tool which can also brick your phone if used stupidly .
.
So , my advice is to go back and flash the stock kitkat firmware through lg flash tool .
after that you can easily root your phone and install a bumped recovery by flashify .

of course you can replace it. what do you want on it? TWRP or philz . you can flash either if you don;t want CWM. :good:

I have rooted my phone using fastboot method using my PC...and flashed recovery twrp tomato 2.8.6.0 ....
But when every I go to bootloader it takes me to the cynoagen recovery...
Update cyanogen recovery is off
Checked whether my phone is rooted or not ....
But everything is fine except the bootloader loads the cyanogen recovery in place of twrp

Hello,
You may try flashing it again(maybe twice or thrice untill you get to TWRP) since YU devices are known to have this issue.

So I used king root to root my device and used Flashify to install TWRP recovery image. Problem is my phone will not boot into recovery. When I try rebooting I get the LG screen then see a small command screen in top left followed by black screen with indicator light flashing red/blue. Need some help from here. My end game is to install CM13 but until I can get TWRP working I am at a roadblock.
I have LG G3 D850 AT&T non unlocked.
I had the same problem using Flashify on my rooted phone with lollipop 5.0.1. I then used the App "(D850) LG G3 AutoRec Lollipop" from Play Store and had TWRP installed successfully.
There is no need to install twrp through flashify.just install latest twrp manger from play store.it will do everything by itself.
Google TWRP Bump'd! You will get a bumped image of the TWRP recovery! I'm currently on TWRP bump'd 3.x.x.x works great too! Make sure to do this.

Then I tried flashing recovery using SP Tools with the available scatter file but then SP Tools failed to detect the device (it just detects the driver but loses it soon after). I tried resetting the device but that too failed and the device restarted after showing the same fading logo. I kinda understand that the recovery partition is failing to boot. But now how can I get back to at least stock recovery so I can reset or use SP Tools. Besides, my boot loader page is also not showing up(the one with all the selections). Did I make any mistake in flashing KK recoveries over an LP ROM?(but all of the recovery threads have posts indicating that they work in LP as well ) Any help would be appreciated.....:crying:
It seems that MMX has locked the Bootloader after the LP OTA update. So try booting to fastboot and then with a connected PC, unlock the Bootloader with the fastboot oem unlock command. Then use SP Tools to flash a custom recovery. I've seen that this takes a few tries so go at it again and again, removing and reconnecting the usb cable until the flashing occurs(of course, assuming that you have all necessary usb drivers installed). Philz and TWRP themed version seems to be working fine(haven't thoroughly checked the others).

Uhh no, you can't flash any recovery in LP with apps,
And now u have lost ur recovery, just flash it witj SP Flash Tool, simple!

hi sir i am having micromax unite 2 A106 i rooted my phone with king root it is successful but problem is with custom rom i could not boot into custom recovery, micromax logo fades followed by black screen and restarts.
i tried installing custom rom with uncle tools same problem
i tried with su flash tool using laptop same problem (i am getting successful msg)
note: my internal storage is 4gb and my phone storage is 2.5gb
please help me in this regard.

I had the same problem. Try to install stock rom with pc it will get back stock recovery
I had a custom 5.1.1 carbon rom with a twrp recovery and well I wanted 6.0 + nethunter I have been trying to install cyogen or acip rom with no luck just hangs on NVidia log , I stupidly flashed recovery img fro cryogen and no cant boot in to recovery no more , if I open fast boot I get my tablet listed in fastboot devices and nothink in adb devices if I try to flash recovery back to twrp using
fastboot flash recovery twrp.zip it just does nothink no errors just sits there I don't know what to try so asking for some help , I'm using my laptop and work pc with no difference

ok I sumhow reinstalled twrp , but when I install croyogen rom just hangs on NVidia logo what can i do ? update anythink like bootloader? , new twrp seems not to load or cwm recovery wont load eather
