Dark Keys for 1.5 Firmware

Does anyone know how to get dark keys application working on the 1.5 firmware (cupcake)
Is it something the app developer needs to do and if so does anyone know where i can reach him to ask

it has to be done on the developers side and if you download the program through market the go to its details and scroll down to email developer.

already sent an E-mail to the Dev asking for the source code. He said he was going to get it uploaded.

Someone needs to make a new version of this app. one that doesnt keep flicking on and off like dark keys does. would be nice if it just remembered whether it was on or off and stayed that way until changed.

Would it be possible to have a uer option to have the backlight on or off based on the time of the day?

Hm, they disabled a lot of programs abilities to change settings like wifi/gps etc, dont know if this was one of those settings (REALLY hope not since you cant change it in android settings either).
Really need this app working for 1.5 :/

That's a really good idea but we need to get it working with 1.5 first

Anyone seen any updates on this anywhere? His webpage seems quiet as well. Thinking about looking into this myself, but it'd be a lot easier with his code.

Did not actually see that, but I dont think it's possible with 1.5 firmware, I looked into it a bit myself, trying to construct hardwareservice jar file for 1.5.
//edit, that is, not possible with the normal hardwareservice way, it'll still work fine on rooted phones.

Rename to darkkeys.apk and install normally. Works only on rooted phones for 1.5 unfortunatly, and it's only debug signed.

This is a disaster for white G1s!
Do I really have to root my phone just to be able to see the keyboard? What are Google playing at?

haha thank you so much i have been waiting for this for a LONG TIME!

Seems they changed detection on whether or not the keypad's open a bit as well, I'll see about making it more reliable sometime today.

Attaching new one, same procedure, rename to .apk and install directly.

What's the point in this?

Bronze G1s suffer from the same problem. So here's another vote for "change timeout based on time of day" feature. Preferably something configurable and togglable. Thanks for your hard work, guys!

[REQ] To send images in album via bluetooth and not via explore files

as the name says, I saw that in htc album is not possible to send files with bluetooth, but only via e-mail,messages or facebook.
so I ask you if is possible to insert the bluetooth alternative.

You can send via bluetooth from File Explorer,hold down finger on the
image file and it's the top option....

thanks for your answer, but my request was if is possible to edit the album for to insert "send via bluetooth" in the connections as in the link picture.

I think that is to much difficult and is not possible
if there is one man that can do it, please say me how is possible.

Sadly enough this question was bean asked several times / on several threads; without anyone who was able to find a solution fore this.
I even contacted the HTC Client Service; The only response I got was: Ow; we will investigate and see what we can do fore next updates!??
Unfortunately; they use the word "Sense" in there product; but sadly enough we don't find any sense in there logic.
But if it can help you; Resco Photo Manager have these option.

thanks for your answer, I have the same idea of you and I think that is unreal that htc hasn't insert it in the album.
In my opinion the htc answers are false, because even their can't do it.
Actually I use resco photo manager as you but I would like to have bluetooth in album without it.

I know your feeling sir; and you aren't the only one. Unfortunately there isn't a other solution. I hope there will be one soon; but I think this will be a dream.

[Q] Please Help adding Photo to Contact

Hi, I am having trouble adding a photo to a contact and can't find the answer anywhere. I recently bought the phone and just have a few days to return it if it's the phone. I love the phone and hope I don't have to return it. All my Droids have been easy til now. Ok, here's a run down of how I'm doing it.
Touch on contact>3 dots top right>edit>touch blank image of face>choose photo from gallery>touch on photo>there is a dotted square around photo like I'm cropping, touch on the check beside done and says "unable to save photo edits" and a little circle going around like a computer trying to load.

But it worked for me that way you described. What kind of image type is that?
Is it maybe a wrong format?
Take a photo with your camera and try to use this.

Thanks but I already tried that. Must be something wrong with the camera. The image is factory set

Are you on any custom rom? Then ask in that specific thread.
Are you completely on stock? Then try a factory reset. If problem persists then contact Motorola support.

[Q] Similar image function on Clean Master????

Don`t know whether you guys know there is a feature called "Similar Image" on Clean Master, i just downloaded this app this morning and found this feature kinda interesting. While the point is, i`ve took 2 same screenshots before running CM in order to test, while, unfortunately i couldn`t found any results, it shows me "No similar pics" I seriously don`t know why its that, look, the fist thing is i don`t know why they gonna add this feature into a Cleaning Apps? Does it really necessary? Since it can`t detect my issues which really made me feel down about it. Also i`ve heard some cleaning apps got another similar function called image compression, aka, without changing your pixels& resolution, it can simply zip your file into a lower size. Is that possible? Or do you guys think about this 2 features? Appreciated if some geeks or technique guys can give me some hints or reference.

Text on lockscreen.

Hello everyone, I don't know if there is a question like this already but I would like to know : How can I write a text/ personal message on my lockscreen please?
I had this on my old LG V 30 and I can't find it on my Fx2 pro.

I don't know if that is possible at all, I've never seen any options for that. But what you can do is display a text on your AOD.

The weird thing is that when i changed my V30 for the Oppo the backup from Google restored evne the text on my lockscreen but now i can't find a way to change /delete it .

That's true, I've had the same thing happen to me when I restored a backup from my old Samsung. While then option clearly exists on standard Android and thus also is part of the backup routine, Oppo simply seems to have chosen not to implement the option in ColorOS. I wonder if it would be possible to somehow access or change settings for that via ADB commands.... ?

Has anyone figured out how to change this? I too restored from another phone (Oneplus 7T) and I can't change the (incorrect) lockscreen text I have!

Nope, there is no option available. I have the same issue.

I spoke to Oppo customer support today about this and they confirmed there's no way to change it and said "they've already let headquarters know about this and there may be a fix in a future update".
I wouldn't hold you breath!
In the meantime this must be stored somewhere on the device!

But good luck with that in a phone with locked bootloader and no way to root.
