hi ppl
now that almost the whole departement here has mda2s, it's really annoying because everyone seems to use the same ringtone
so i did search the net for different telefone rings ... but was not too lucky. maybe someone has some ring tones for me ... i'd like to have a REAL phone ring tone - no fancy star trek sound or something like that. just some different ring-ring
looking really forward to some help...
thanks in advance

just about every wav file and wma you can think of can be used
here are some
http://www.yorch.net/ringtones.htm
you can also record your own ring tones if you like
it's just sampled sound
hmmm that was a good start
but the problem is, that almost all "real" phone rings are the same as integrated in my MDA. so nothing really new.
i know that i could just record my own phone and use that wav file. but then i can't tell between the ring of my mobile and my normal phone at home, when one of them is ringing.
that's why i was hoping for anyone else who already recorded his phone at home (or work) which surely would sound different from those i have here around me.
thanks ...

well i think that you can use mid (polyphonic ring tones) aswell like the normal cellphones if you can find a site with ring tones for normal cellphones you got a big pile of them
Does the Touch Pro has the function to mute the alarms and incoming calls when faced down or not ?
I know the Diamond has but it doesn't work on my Touch Pro.
Mine does.
I've found the answer.
I thought that when the Touch Pro is faced down the sound is muted.
Even when there is no call.
But it seems that when a call comes in and you turn the Touch Pro face down the sound is then muted.

Klaxon supports the light sensor & accelerometers to mute alarms.
My TP doesn't mute alarms when turning it either, but phone calls work. (I never expected it to, though )

compare to which phone?
because i'm coming from a SGS and i find it stronger
same goes for my old Treo 650 it felt weaker than the SNS
however the Moto XT720 feels the same as the SNS
Option, this is what I do. I use app call missed reminder. I turn off the vibrate for sms, mms, calls and gmail. I set this app for the alerts and lengthen the vibrate times so I can fill. I wish gtalk was part of it.
glad im not the only one feeling this because coming from all my previous android phones dating back to even the g1 had an intense vibration the sns just sucks...lol
Have you tried restarting your phone? My one good and i normally notice it but it just went really weak until i restarted it. Might help.
Go SMS Pro allows you to set your own vibration for sms. not sure about calling.
Hi @all,
long ago in times where Nokia was the leading company which sold the most phones their phones had a setting for a single tone notification for an incoming call. My latest phone (ulefone metal with Android N) has a weak vibration, so i'm missing calls from time to time. But i don't want to have a long running, loud ringtone, because when i'm not at my desk, but my phone is still there, i don't want that my colleagues will be disturbed by a ringtone which runs a minute or so.
I found an audiofile with a single beep, which i can use as ringtone, but this beep will always repeated as long as the caller doesn't give up. This is even more annoying than a standard ringtone. So now my question is: How can i set up the phone that this audiofile is played only once and not repeatedly? This works for notifications, but not for calls. I'm searching for such a functionality in modern phones all the time since the Nokia-times, but didn't find it. Anybody out there knows such a setting for android phones?
As a workaround i could create an audiofile with a single beep and 5 minutes of silence, but this is stupid
Thanks, jennix
I am on OP7 Pro running Pie. When I am using the phone holding it, speaker phone, BT headset just during a call, any notification makes a beep sound. It is the same sound you would hear with other phones like Samsung, LG, etc when you have a call waiting, someone calling while on a call. It makes that beep sound if you understand.
My frustration is it's the same beep sound for anything, text, FB messenger, phone system alerts, anything that is an alert I get the same beep which makes me think I have a call waiting since it's the same sound. It's annoying because if I ignore it I think I could be missing a call so it keeps me looking at phone or pulling it out my pocket when on a call.
If this makes sense to anyone, how to change the alerts when I am on a call?
